I've lived here for about two months now and everything is wonderful. The staffs probably the best part of the complex. Mario and Rick, the maintenance, have always been around when you need them. Mario was kind enough to help me change my tire on my truck when he saw us struggling to get it done on a super hot day. The staff at the front office are also super thoughtful and willing to help whenever needed. I called to place a noise complaint. I've lived here for about half a year. The woman who answered the phone was incredibly rude and interrupted me as I was explaining myself, talking over me and saying "what is your building and apartment number?," twice in quick succession before I could respond. I had already left a voicemail, to which I did not receive a response. She did not take any action until I stated that I had called the police three times, upon hearing that she said "Oh, okay, I'll tell the property manager." I have not had a response from the leasing office. Our apartment's carpets weren't even cleaned when we moved in, and the leasing agent who sold us the unit claimed she had "Taken a handheld vacuum cleaner up there." This was quite obviously untrue, and it disappointed me as she had seemed like a nice enough person. As soon as my lease is up, I'm gladly moving out of this place, hopefully back to West Hampton Park where the leasing office has well-trained agents with good attitudes. I don't need to be ridiculed and talked down to for voicing a problem. I also don't like being completely forgotten as soon as the call ends. Steeplechase, Briar Hills, Broadmoor, any of these places will gave better than customer service than you will get here. read more

Was really sad when I had to move out of this apartment complex because it was overall one of my best living experience - and that is significant because I move around a lot. They are a hidden gem in West Omaha. Things I really loved - they didn't charge an arm and a leg extra for a six month lease (like ALL the other places in town), both management and the service teams were excellent at their jobs - quick to handle any concerns or work orders, and it's within walking or easy driving distance to everything you might need. In addition to the small gym offered by the complex, there are also run/cycle routes throughout the neighborhood which is great for keeping physically fit. To my knowledge, there is no pool available. My favorite things about the actual apartment was: keyed entry, the size (large and spacious) without costing a fortune, the gas fireplace, the unrestricted views from the balcony of beautiful sunrises/sunsets, and the fact that I never heard any of my neighbors through the walls. The only reason they didn't get five stars is because of two drawbacks: (1) There are no dedicated parking spot unless you want to pay for a detached garage. I opted not to pay for one of those but found that if I came home after six in the afternoon, I had to park around the corner far away from my apartment building. (2) To dispose of your garbage, you have to drag it to one of the dumpsters. If you've ever been to Omaha in the winter, you know that it's no fun to even go out on your porch much less around the corner to a dumpster with a bag (or bags) of trash when it's cold out. Additionally, with my petite size, it was hard to lift the dumpster covers fully when they are closed. read more

Absolute joke when it comes to their maintenance team. They are extremely lazy, and spend more time smoking cigarettes and hanging out in the garage/clubhouse than they do actually working. Especially during winter they do nothing for snow removal, the contractor they use makes 1 push through, often blocking cars in worse, and they leave the entrances covered so people get stuck there frequently. This is a shitty place to live, they don't care about their residents, no safety is taken for kids or older people by removing snow or salting the sidewalks. It will apparently take a lawsuit for them to fix their issues, because numerous complaints have been made and nothing changes. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE! read more

I would not recommend anyone move to this apartment community. The staff Amy, Peggy, and Ali are rude and unprofessional. The manager Shawn has no concern about the issues that arise. I have had several issues with my stay here. I had a new toilet installed a few weeks ago. The toilet gets clogged frequently. Shawn stated it is because the new toilet government regulations. The maintenance staff entered my apartment and left a total mess. I saw it when I came home and was furious. Shawn stated "it is not the maintenance staff responsibility to clean behind themselves when they are providing a requested service." I showed him the pictures and all he did was apologize. He said he will send anyone to clean up the mess and that it is the tenant's responsibility. My dryer would not work as well and Peggy told me it was because I had 15 towels in the dryer. They are completely dishonest. I had a load of white clothes, which by the way is drying at the moment. I have had issue after issue and compliance after compliant. Do not waste your money at this apartment community. read more

DISGUSTING- READ BEFORE CONSIDERING.. I WOULD PAY $400 TO NOT LIVE HERE-- Well let's start by saying that my boyfriend and I had applied to live here.. we get a call we are approved and need to pay the deposit of $400 to hold the apartment for us "bc they are so popular and going fast" so of course we do as everything that we have saw from the floor plan to me going in to view one of the ones they had open (which was smaller than what we wanted) I was impressed by the one I viewed and excited to move in.. cut to them saying we could not view the one we were suppose to move into bc it "wasn't ready for us to view" as they had to fix up some things in the apt from previous renters before we could view it and they let me know it wouldn't be available to view until a week before we are suppose to move in.. I called a week before to set up a viewing and was told I could just walk in on Saturday and they would be able to show me it.. so I come in on Saturday (mind you we are suppose to move in on Thursday) I get told the apt isn't "prepped yet" although I had called to confirm that I would be able to view it on that day.. as my boyfriend works 7 days a week and I work 6 days a week we weren't able to come in till Tuesday (now we are suppose to move in 2 days from now at this point) we view the apt and it was disgusting.. clumps of dust on top of things and the bathroom door looks as though it had hair and dust on the door and instead of cleaning it they just painted over the hair so I can see the hair under the paint.. disgusting.. the place seems to not have been cleaned at all if I was to move in I would have to clean everything myself as the sink looked gross as well.. the clubhouse looks as though they grabbed left over furniture from peoples apts and put that in there.. very old and dated.. (I wish I had photos to attach with this for people who are considering renting from them) after this viewing I call them to let them know we are no longer interested as it was not what we were looking for.. I am informed the $400 deposit is nonrefundable as they were holding this for us.. yet they were "SO POPULAR" idk how they couldn't find someone else to rent the place immediately after we decided not to.. I hope they take that $400 to clean up that apt more than it was before they decide to show that to anyone else... Although I am pissed that we are not getting our money back I would literally pay $400 to NOT LIVE THERE.. it was that bad! read more

This is one of the nicest places I've ever lived. There were some problems at first (stuff in the carpet) but they went above and beyond to fix that for us. They also fixed everything we needed fixed in a timely manner. I accidentally left a large amount of money out when I left the apartment and I came back to a note from the maintenance person that her was here. No money touched and everything was the way we left it. Very professional and trustworthy. The rooms here are huge and the kitchens are beautiful. They are a little on the smaller side but I don't need that much room. The closets are about the size of a small bedroom at any other apartment complex. I wish there was a pool but that's not a big deal to me. Lisa at the front desk has helped me so many times and she is great. I have read a lot of reviews about how bad the staff is but I have not had a single bad experience with them. I think people just like to complain on yelp and no one recognizes the good they do. I've stayed in my share of apartments over the years and this was definitely one of the better one's. It's been a few years since I lived here so it may have changed. The one bedroom that I had was spacious. The bedroom was huge and it had a very nice walk-in closet. I enjoyed the washer/dryer off the kitchen and the little off with French doors. The deck is pretty large and set in the building which offers some privacy. Probably the biggest drawback was the fact that it didn't have a pool. It did offer a racquetball court and it was the only time I ever played. They also had a weird little movie rental section. The gym wasn't too bad either. The grounds were well maintained. I recommend it but it's bit on the pricey side. I believe I was paying $700 per month for a one bedroom a few years ago and that was with a move-in special. I believe the normal price was $800 per month. read more

Its spacious, apartment condition is excellent, locality is awesome, rooms are clean and as good as new, maintenance guys are so good and responsive, I mean I never stayed in such a good apartment in my 2.5 years of stay in USA. When we got our apartment it was as good as new, well painted, everything was working, rooms are so spacious, closet is huge. We had one issue with refrigerator and next day maintenance gave us a new one. I never saw such quick response anywhere. Above all the security system is excellent, have garage system, clubhouse is awesome. They have a website where you can raise maintenance request so you don't have to even call. I was on the waitlist, was told the apartment I'd be getting would be ready in November, a one-bedroom with a computer room larger than the 5'9" x 10'9" show apartment. I called to verify that I was approved, since the waitlist isn't an actual application, I was told again I would be getting the larger computer room, so I was willing to wait a month to move in. So I paid the fees and deposit electronically. I received an email with the info to transfer my utilities with the new address, which asked me to pay my deposit again. In the email was the attached floor plan. It appeared to be the one of the show apartment, though when I walked through, I was told mine would have the larger computer room. I called and said the floor plan in my email was wrong. They said, no, that's the apartment I'd be getting. I said it would be too small for my family. They said I could get a larger one at a higher price. I said please refund my money. It's been four days, I have yet to hear from the actual manager, Shawn. They have so far refused to refund the application fee, I was NEVER informed that it was non-refundable. Both the deposit and application fee have not been returned to me. I have left messages, called the Schwalb Realty Office, and sent emails. So that is $395 not returned to me, and I am having to find a new place to live. I am a teacher at a school very nearby, a single mother, and now I have to find a new place to live. I have spoken to three people, but the manager Shawn is NEVER available to address the issue. With business practices like this, I can only imagine that once you are a resident, your concerns and questions would be ignored for days and weeks! Please do not even APPLY. They will not help you or be HONEST with you. They will take your money and ignore you. I will have to unfortunately bring this to the attention of my attorney. Sadly, I have many emails and papers that document their lies. read more

This place STINKS. They advertise that it's a smoke free environment. No smoking in your apartment or decks or patios. BIG FAT LIE!!!!!! I moved here because of that reason and the resident above me smokes I have asthma and it is a health issue. They may of talked to her but she just smokes in her room late at night and of course they are closed at that hour and can not verify it. Also the parking is the worst! To get to a trash dumpster it is about a block for some of the residents. They actually have you have your dogs take a mouth swabbed so if they pick up the mess they say they test it. There is so much messes you don't dare walk out there in the dark. When my lease is up I am out of here!!!!! read more
