Been going here for years. The service is second to none. I've noticed that some of the other patients are super entitled and act like spoiled children. I started coming to this office because my previous dentist retired. I picked this office because they seemed to be more state of the art than many offices. I haven't required a crown so far, but the same-day crown service is a very appealing option to have if needed. I've been gone to this place for few years before I decided to move to other dentist. The dentists here are trying to upsell or cross sell procedures and treatments, so the dental expense gets usually high. That's still ok for me as long as the care I get is high quality. This office has a dental equipment that is like 3D printer. The dentist does digital scanning and makes 3D filling or crown with that equipment. I understand that those type of equipments are expensive, so the dentist will do whatever he can to see return on his investment such as overselling crown procedure where it is not absolutely necessary. However, I feel that equipment has a major flaw or the dentist has not mastered a required skill yet. Whenever i had a procedure done with that, i got a problem. Repeated issues like that made me depart from this office eventually. I am surprised to see that no one else has complained about that here read more

This review is only for the Hilltop Smiles group. I came in after cracking a tooth that needed a root canal (don't procrastinate people). I had been in a few months prior to get X-Rays and Dr Bailey and the staff were all very nice and detailed everything I needed done. I definitely procrastinated and ended up cracking one of my teeth! They got me in really quick and Dr Bailey immediately started to fix the tooth. I had to then schedule an appt with an endodontist to finish the procedure. I scheduled that appt with them a few weeks later. My point of saying this is only for the Hilltop Smiles group is that the independent endodontist was really rough, the assistant with him was pretty rude and they both lacked any sort of "bedside manner". I won't get into details since, to me, this doesn't reflect on Hilltop Smiles. Dr Bailey and the few dental assistants I've had the pleasure of working with are so friendly. As someone who doesn't like going to the dentist, they make the experience definitely bearable and less nerve-racking. Dr Bailey is very gentle and he and the dental assistants explain what they're doing as they are working on you. The front office staff is extremely friendly and helpful in explaining the billing details as well as getting me in so quickly after cracking my tooth. I have been coming here for several years, even had dental implants done here. Its the first of the year and my insurance had changed. They got a new front desk person. I came in for my cleaning and was told that I had no insurance. I asked if I could check with my employer or if we could set up the appointment later and my only choice was to pay out of pocket for the cleaning. She was not willing to work with me and I was not willing to pay out of out of pocket. I found a dentist closer to where I live and hilltop smiles lost a patient. read more

I am a person whom doesnt like to go to the dentist. High Anxiety. YUCK.. I had to have a front tooth extracted and put it off for over a year until it loosened up so bad I had NO choice. I made an appontment with the oral surgeon in this office, Dr. Welch but still nervous and scared..until I got there and met him . He calmed me down by talking to me prior to the extraction for 10 minutes. So on we go and I never felt anything while he did my procedure. I have been a patient of Dr. Tutt and Hilltop Smiles for the last four years when I was fitted With a bridge. The staff is very caring and Dr. Tutt has been awesome. I had a problem last night with bridge coming loose so I called first thing in this morning and I was able to get in within an hour. Once I got there I was given an x-ray and Dr. Tutt examined me and proceeded to try and glue the bridge back in. Due to some issues he couldn't get it to fit properly and decided that it would be best to just fit me with a brand new bridge. He was concerned that it would come loose again after having been in for four years he didn't want this to happen in another four years. This was done at no cost Since my bridge was under warranty.Any other Dentist would've just stuck some extra glue in and sent me home. I am so impressed with Dr. Tutt's integrity and quality of work. They also have an in-house insurance plan that I think is $199 for a single person. Once you pay that for a year you get all of the services for a discount. I have a deep thorough cleaning every three months and it only cost me $98. read more

I made an apt to get my teeth cleaned and establish myself as a patient at this clinic. I get regular dental cleanings from a dentist and brush my teeth twice a day, floss 5-7 times a week and use a mouth wash daily. I went in for my appointment and the office was immaculately clean and the front desk staff seemed very friendly. I was taken right back and got my X-rays done, then taken to a room where I sat for 10-15 minutes. The dentist came in and did an exam for 25-30, then proceeded to tell me that I needed a 'deep clean'. At that point I was given a quote of $800 my cost after my insurance paid. Then I was told this would take 2-3 visits. I will not be going back. read more

He never rushes through my appointments or makes me feel like I'm just another number on a chart. Have my appointment cancel twice with less than 23 hrs notice within 6 months. The first cancelation was 10 minutes before my 8 am appointment and the second was 20 hrs before. An unfriendly environment with uptight staff. Doctors seem to be there for the money and not for patient care. One star is being generous. read more

Once again I am giving the folks at Hilltop Smiles Dentistry a five star rating. In the past I have been so impressed with Dr. Tutt that when I had a dental emergency this week and he wasn't available, I was hesitant, but my concerns did not last. Dr. Bailey was the dentist this visit and he is just as professional and dedicated as Dr. Tutt! I had some extreme pain from a tooth that had cracked (Dr. Tutt warned me this was the tooth that would need help next in my dental plan.) They got me in within an hour and I was in the chair and had a temporary crown in place within a couple of hours. I returned the next day for the installation of a permanent crown they produced in house. I am so pleased with Hilltop Smiles and how they always treat me with respect for my needs and time. I returned for the conclusion of my periodontal cleaning and crown/bridge installation last Thursday and now five days out, the work is extraordinarily sound and amazingly comfortable. I've some gum issues that were found to require a closer eye in care and my two-hour appointment started with a specialized cleaning from Katherine. I was expecting a stressful session of having my teeth scaled, white-knuckling the arms of the reclining chair and instead I was greeted with a warm and overwhelmingly funny person to work with. Stress lowered, teeth and gums cleaned, client happy. One of the things that I was entirely unaware of is the industry's partial phase-out of foam-style molds for having crowns and bridges fitted. Instead I was treated to a 3D object scanning wand mapping out the interior of my teeth and surrounding anatomy. With this type of advanced topographical tool, dental labs are given enough data to expertly custom fit devices to every millimeter of your mouth. And the results are telling, my bridge and adjacent crown fit like they've been there my entire life. It's both overwhelmingly confusing and reassuring that one minute I'm missing a tooth and the next I have back rock-solid structures of my mouth missing for years. Again, I'm overwhelmingly impressed and will recommending them to all of my dentally shy friends and coworkers. read more

These guys are great! I was SO nervous about getting my 1st filling, but Dr. Nguyen and his team were so kind and caring, they made the process as easy as possible. Dr. Nguyen talked me through the whole process, and checked in with me through out the procedure to make sure I was doing alright. The office is very high tech, and they're able to show you your x-rays, go over insurance and billing, and schedule your next appointment, all from the comfort of your exam chair. They offered me NO2, turned the channel on their large flat screen tv, and we're very professional and friendly. I've never been a huge fan of going to the dentist, but this was the best dental experience I've ever had. read more

Simply AMAZING!!! We moved back from Maui about a year ago. We didn't have a dentist and someone recommended Hilltop. We went there got examined had some work and were impressed. Front desk very friendly and place is immaculately clean! Well yesterday I broke my crown in the afternoon... My insurance didn't cover this dentist office but because I had already been here and fully trusted them I paid out of pocket to get my dental work done. I have serious dentist fear....The time befire my last visit I had a major anxiety attack with the anesthetic used to numb my mouth...it can sometimes do that by the way it enters the blood apparently and make your heart race... So The next time I had to come in for more work he made sure to give me the shot by using a different technique.... For one I barely felt the pain of the shot and I did not have an anxiety attack... I was happy with my experience at the time of my appointment for a cleaning/ exam to establish myself as a patient. The office was clean, staff was polite and friendly, Dr.Tutt seemed very knowledgeable and gave a good explanation of what his recommended treatment plan was however, that treatment plan is also the reason for my low rating of this business. I go in for regular cleanings, I have never had a dentist be concerned about my gum health as I don't drink in excess, I don't smoke and I brush and use a water flosser daily. The X-ray machine was down that day, but Dr. Tutt still did the gum exam and basically told me that all four back quadrants (molars) needed deep cleanings (srp) and that he was concerned about my gums on my back teeth but that my front teeth were fine and that I had great brushing technique, I just needed to get bacteria out from under the gum lines in my back teeth. Almost all of my molars were given a 5 or 6 when he did the gum measurement. He Went as far as to tell me that he hasn't seen these gum issues in very many people my age and that he recommended getting the deep cleaning and then coming back every 3 months for maintenance cleanings with an out of pocket cost of $400 the day of the cleaning and it would cost me more when I came back for Maintenance cleanings. I took his word for it and scheduled another appointment to come back when the X-ray was up and running. As someone who has always been conscious of my teeth, and dental hygiene, I was just devastated and couldn't stop thinking about how it could have possibly gotten so bad since my last cleaning. I had never been given this kind of feedback before. I decided that i would get a second opinion at another dental office because what's another $60 when you were just quoted $400, right? Anyways, I went into the 2nd office and as the dentist went through the gum measurements, she was saying 3,2 and 1... the only the very outside of my last molars were given 4 and that could have been a result of my wisdom teeth being removed. I am glad I took the time to get a second opinion. I would hate to think that a dentist would go out of his way to recommend treatment that isn't needed- causing pain/ discomfort that isn't needed, just to get a little more money. Maybe Dr. Tutt is new and forgot to read his measurements... but if you get a recommended treatment plan that Seems off, trust your gut and get a second opinion. read more

Worked around my schedule to make an appointment and provided a level of care that I have never had from a dentist. I used to dread going to the dentist, they changed my mind. Feels like everything costs three times more than a regular dentist office. I had an appointment for a cleaning which turned into a test to see if I had gum disease and instead of cleaning I needed deep cleaning at a cost of $550 and a 2 hour appointment. And the same thing happened to my daughter at her cleaning except her deep cleaning was to cost $990 for the exact same thing. So I really do not recommend this clinic to anyone! read more
