Upon our arrival, we were warmly greeted with a smile, and informed of a complimentary upgrade to a junior suite, thanks to my diamond status. While there was no lounge available, the hotel kindly provided us with drink tokens, which could be redeemed for beverages or snacks at the bar.
The bar itself was impressive, with quick and friendly service. Two tokens got us a large beer--though not quite as large as expected, it was still thoroughly enjoyable.
Our room was comfortable and well-appointed. The setup with the shower adjacent to the bathtub was unconventional but worked just fine. A thoughtful touch was the towel warmer, adding a bit of luxury to our stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the view was breathtaking, despite the windows being on the smaller side. A bottle of white wine awaited us in the room, which added a lovely personal touch. The room had a loft-like vibe, with blackout blinds that were exceptionally effective--perfect for a restful night's sleep.
The breakfast spread in the morning was fantastic, offering a wide variety of options. A particular highlight was the made-to-order eggs and the addition of a Bloody Mary bar, along with champagne for mimosas.
The staff was outstanding--extremely friendly, helpful, and eager to assist with any plans or recommendations for food and activities in the area.
The only downside was that the rooms felt a bit dated. However, I'd still give the hotel a solid 4.5 stars and would definitely stay here again, especially given its convenient location near the train station. read more
