The lobby is beautiful! I was sure that this meant the rest of the hotel would be too. This proved to be false. I had booked a handicap accessible room and was surprised to be given one on the 2nd floor, requiring us to use the elevator. The room was a disappointment. The furnishings were old, the bed linens thin, the pillows flat, and the mattresses very uncomfortable. We had several medical devices that needed outlets along with our phones, an iPad, and watches. There was one crowded nightstand between the beds that had a tangle of cords on the floor leaving no room for us. A handicap accessible room should make travel easier not even harder than it already is. All this being said, the front desk staff were so friendly and helpful! We always stay at Hilton hotels. This one needs a lot of attention! read more

We booked this hotel for two reason mainly; first for the pool access, second, it's proximity to mall/shops. While the suite was spacious and modern the king size bed was really sagging in the center. Very happy to report it was clean to my standards!! I'm one to travel with cleaning supplies lol but no need this time. The next morning after checking in I wanted to use the pool but instead was referred to use the Golds Gym a short 5 min drive. I was very disappointed to spend gasoline traveling to and back. Then I found out that demolition for the mall had started!!!! Why me!!??!! See pictures of pool- if this is the main reason you'll book, think again. Maybe I'll recommend because overall clean, quiet, great helpful staff. Parking lot was always to capacity. read more

Hilton- don't place patrons in an area being renovated. Especially diamond members. The rooms weren't even renovated and honestly dirty, dusty and three bugs found. Positive- the beds comfortable. Outside the room, paint vapors which we were warned about right after checking in were strong in hall 2/3 employees very understanding of complaints and helpful in finding somewhat of a solution. So Thumbs up for Sherry and Laqueshia at front desk. The foyer is beautiful with great fall decor but let's focus on the rooms! read more

Hilton is on a Super 8 Motel downslide and slipping fast. This Hilton Garden Inn Aiken is consistently one of the dirtiest hotels I've ever stayed in. Why do we come back you ask? My husband is a Diamond member so he gets perks. He is often here on business. A lot of his bookings are on points because of his status. Here are the perks I see. 1st Stay 1st Perk: When we stayed here a couple of months ago the tub was nasty enough that we had to have housekeeping re-clean it. They had to get permission because they don't clean anymore until checkout time. 2nd Perk: A male housekeeping attendant walked into my room without knocking, without acknowledging that he was housekeeping. I'm standing there naked... Still have ptsd from that incident. They made all kinds of excuses for him, however he was clearly acknowledging himself as he visited other rooms not 5 minutes before he opened my door. 3rd Perk: The housekeeping crew didn't bother to check the fridge. Found a previous guest's water chilling in the fridge. 4th Perk: Strands of other guest's hair in the towels standing long and clear enough for Stevie Wonder to see it. How did they not? 2nd Stay 1st Perk: I always clean/disinfect the common areas. Found tons of filthy areas in just a few swipes. 2nd Perk: Again the tub was filthy. Soap scum and what looks to be pubic hair stuck to the tub. And we just got here soooo.... 3rd Perk: I pulled back the comforter and found dirty sheets. Pic included. I can't make this up. This is horrible. 4th Perk: Absolutely filthy phones. Crud in every corner. I'm thinking they are thinking, if we leave the phones untouchable and nasty, they won't cal us for anything. Pic included. Tired of these perks. Just clean the dang rooms. I'm giving one star but truth be told, they owe us about three. They told us they would bring sheets us abs we can change them ourselves. read more

Stayed here during 2023 Masters Event. Could not of asked for more efficient and friendlier staff! Rooms are perfect for staying with 3 guests as there is a bedroom and sitting area with couch. We were served a beautiful happy hour after returning from event. Amazing breakfast as well. Aiken is an adorable town with lots of fun restaurants. read more

So, let me begin by sending a huge thank you to Michael, La'Quincia, Nika, Marcia, Emily and everyone in the kitchen and housekeeping. The staff were welcoming, warm, personable and took time to appreciate and assist each guest. I know that Yelp isn't always the place people go to see hotel ratings- and when I saw this rating I had to comment. This team is fabulous. They all went the extra mile in every way at all times. Not just with me, but i saw it with many guests. This happened continuously during a very busy week with the hotel at full capacity. I could give loads of examples, but none wants to read too long. Now for some feedback... The rooms could use some updating. Fresh paint overall. Most importantly with the bathrooms. We had a leaky toilet in one room and another room had horrible seals on the shower door which resulted in water on the floor all the time for both rooms. Several issues: First and foremost I made reservations for Masters week where they tripled The price and the reservations were non cancellable. As it turns out my wife had to Have an emergency surgery and we needed to cancel we called a week in advance they would not consider any kind of credit at all. Additionally they were not friendly. I ended up coming to Aiken for two days and Not using the last two days the room was noisy Due to mechanical issues which made sleeping very difficult. I could not possibly ask for better service from the amazing team here at Hilton Garden Inn in Aiken, SC. My company executives and coworkers have been traveling here with our corporate rate for over 6 months now. The a la carte breakfast is fantastic. Dinner and drinks on weekdays does not disappoint. This hotel was just remodeled entirely at the end of the year. The staff's service is phenomenal. Although ALL the staff is amazing here, I am especially grateful to LaQuincia and Deloris for the attention to detail - all day, every day. They have us coming back every time and you will too if you try this location out for yourself. You won't regret it. Stayed here three nights. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the rooms need to be updated. The carpet is old and the popcorn ceiling is too much. Oh and the bed...while it was very comfortable. It was so freaking loud! The slightest movement would make the loudest squeak ever. The lobby is beautiful though. I know when they update the rooms the hotel as a whole will be excellent. Everything was clean and the temp was cool which are the main things I care about in a hotel. Service was excellent! A lot of the staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was great. My phone didn't work in my room and all the staff was very attentive. Front desk, maintenance, housekeeping and the restaurant staff were all awesome. Be sure to grab a bite downstairs in their cafe. Yes, there are tons of options around here but if you're over the chain establishments seriously give them a try. The food and service were excellent! We tried the buffalo wings, ribs and salad. Hands down some of the best wings I've had in a while. Ribs were so flavorful and salad was fresh with "the good" ranch dressing. My ranch dressing people know what I'm talking about. . They have completed the lobby renovation and it looks great, but the rooms are still under construction until January. The staff is courteous and friendly and it is a great location near restaurants. Hopefully with the remodel the rooms will have better beds and cleaner bathrooms. The bed was pretty saggy! I also had a roach in my room, but to be fair this is South Carolina. If you want a newer hotel you will have to go to the Holiday Inn Express or back to Augusta. read more

We were first-time visitors to Aiken, for a family wedding, and this hotel was recommended to us. It was perfect for our visit! It's a pretty new hotel and has all the conveniences you'd want -- free WiFi, a small restaurant and bar, and excercise room, etc. -- plus very efficient and friendly staff -- especially DJ, who checked us in late on the evening we arrived and gave us good pointers about where to go in Aiken the next day. We had reserved a junior suite with a king size bed and that's exactly what we got, for a very reasonable price. And the site is off the road and very quiet. I didn't see another hotel that looked like a better place to stay. read more

I like these folks but there are some issues. I have asthma and the designated smoking areas just happen to be the best spots outside 1. Pool area 2. Eating area outside. Seems pretty stupid. Put the smokers in their car not where they kill the living. Besides not being allowed to grab some fresh air all the fitness equipment stays broken. It was a pretty nice place but I think they have decide to abandon the upkeep. I sure hate to see that happen. read more

We love the Hilton and wanted to stay at one when visiting Aiken. We were promptly checked in by Mychal who provided outstanding customer service. He advised us of all the amenities within the hotel. Later that evening after our business meeting, we visited the bar and met Taneisha. She was fun and energetic and took care of us even though it was right at closing time. The room was clean and really nice with a great Wifi connection. We also had easy access to the business center. We have friends with handicapped children and noticed the pool had motorized lifts. I stayed at this hotel during the week for work. There were multiple small flying insects (gnats, I assumed, or fruit flies), who were constantly flying in my room. Landing on me, the lamps in my room, the bathroom mirror, my toiletries I brought, etc. I'm not confrontational and thought maybe the previous guest had some fruit or something in there, and plus my company was paying for the room and not me, so I didn't complain and just figured I would mention it when I checked out. But then, when I accidentally left my Amazon firestick plugged into my television and then realized it and called within thirty minutes of checking out, and was told by the lady at the front desk that it had been found and kept at the front desk, I thought I was very satisfied. However, upon returning to the hotel at lunch break to pick it up, they only had the remote. They played it off, searching the room and "tearing it apart" to find it, but most people know what a firestick is and what it looks like, and that it plugs Into the HDMI port on the tv and then subsequently into the wall, etc., but I didn't want to accuse anyone of stealing. However, I'm not going to be played for a fool. I did call corporate, and left them my information, as well as leaving all of my contact information, in case it turns up, to the front desk staff, but I'm not holding my breath. If they do find it and send it to me, this review will improve. But until then, yes, it's my fault for accidentally leaving it in the room, but dishonesty and thievery are among the worst ways to lose valuable customers. read more

There is a bar downstairs, food service is for breakfast only, but there are several restaurants at walking distance. I stayed for a weekend in this hotel. I been in other Hilton Gardens around the country. Was really surprised the bad conditions this one has... The staff was really nice but the hotel in general needs a renovation or management needs to take control, otherwise the hotel will become a kind of nasty road hotel. Air conditioner was off in all the rooms hallways during my stay. My room's carpet was very old and sticky the way I can walk without shoes. Both mattresses were old and abused that feel I can't sleep. Bathroom door was imposible to close. I requested to the housekeeper to change the bed sheets but they never did, and the blankets are wear away and really old. After the housekeeper clean the room the floor tiles were sticky. I feel very disappointed with the hotel in general. I had to seat in the lobby to wait for my ride and noticed all the furniture is old and in a very poor condition. Very very disgusting. Hotel seems new however to our surprise we saw cock-roaches on two separate occasions over a three day stay in the elevator and there were ants in our bathroom and sink. Maybe just bad luck... Stayed here for my wedding night. Hotel was very clean and quiet. Staff was extremely helpful. We even got free breakfast vouchers once we told them we were there for our wedding. The breakfast was decent, but nothing I'd want to pay for. My only other complaint, and reason for 4 stars, was the bed was horrible!!! It was loud, hard, and super uncomfortable. Disappointing experience at this hotel. Staff was courteous but not responsive to issues. Housekeeping didn't empty our trash for 2 days and never brought us clean towels as promised. When we called downstairs in the evening so we could take showers, we were told we had to come down to front desk to get the towels because nobody was available to bring them to us. Unacceptable. We were told breakfast started at 6am during the weekend at check-in (it actually starts at 7am which was too late for us as we had to leave by 6:45am). When we brought this to attention during check-out, we were told no manager was on duty so we would have to call to discuss our issues the following day. Really? I called the next day and that was 5 days ago, manager Kathryn Campbell still has yet to bother to return my call. We overpaid bigtime for this hotel, stay somewhere else while in Aiken..... read more
