Not the best stay, but it's not entirely the hotel's fault. The hotel, while dated, had staff who were accommodating and friendly. However, it is located in a terrible neighborhood. During the night, several vehicles had glass shattered and were broken into. The staff indicated that this happens somewhat regularly. So if you are staying at this hotel, be aware there is a change that you'll come out to a vandalized vehicle with items missing. If it happens regularly, it seems they would take some measure of security, but haven't yet, and will assume no responsibility as you "park at your own risk". read more

I stayed here for two nights while my house had no power or water after a nasty ice storm. Luckily it didn't seem to hit Corvallis, and they actually had an available room! The hotel is located right next to Reser Stadium and the Oregon State University campus. It is not far from downtown Corvallis, and was easy to find. The room seemed clean and had a comfortable bed. It had a single cup Keurig machine and had tea and coffee options. The bathroom was just fine, and the tub was fairly large. The hot water never seemed to run out, which was amazing after a couple of days without running water. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The public areas were sleek and modern, and although I never ate at the hotel, it seemed popular. All the COVID-19 protocols seemed to be in place, and it looked like all food was packaged for consumption in the rooms. The breakfast was $10, rather than being complimentary. That might be standard for this brand. The internet access in the room was very fast; fast enough for gaming, in fact. The only minor negative was that the climate control unit was a bit noisy. All in all, a comfortable hotel with good service that is convenient not only for OSU but central Corvallis as well. I would definitely stay here again. read more

I've visited Corvallis many times but I had a better experience at a cheap hotel. I paid $500+ for 3 nights at the Hilton so it isn't the cheapest, but I expected more comfort than what we experienced. 1) The rooms are non-smoking but we were on the third floor and it completely reeked of smoke our entire stay! It wasn't just a whiff of smoke that went away; it smelled as if someone was sitting in the hallways smoking. We had to keep a towel at the bottom of our door to keep the odor out. 2) The AC didn't work properly. It barely blew cool air and it was so muggy in the room. 3) There was a questionable group who were constantly working on their broken down truck in the lot. They were there all hours of the day. They had a toddler who ran around the parking lot unsupervised, as cars pulled in and out of the lot. 4) The comforters are NOT soft or comfortable . They are scratchy polyester. Because the AC didn't work and it got hot in the room, we didn't have to use it too often. The positive things are that the staff was pleasant when we checked in. We also ran into staff in the common areas and they were polite and friendly. The location is close to OSU and within close proximity to restaurants and shopping. Unfortunately, I cannot say that I'd ever return to this particular hotel. read more

First. The price seems really high but I'm a Hiltons member so I was like post pandemic ok. My online check in did not have a lot of room options at all. Then the blinds which were motorized did not work. I called the front desk and they didn't even know the blinds were motorized. She suggested I just pull on it. Then they offered to come up. She looked at it and said yup...don't work but she didn't offer to do anything else to help out. So now I'm sleeping in a room with a street lamp outside shining into my room. Stayed in Room 433. Rooms were quiet, you can hear some noise from the hallway when people are talking loud, but nothing from the room next door. Great location if attending an event at the college as it next to the football stadium and softball field. The Bartender was awesome. Only issue if checking out at 12:00 is the maid service came into the room before 11:00 even though a tag was on the door to not disturb. We would stay again. read more

We had a wonderful stay at the Hilton Garden Inn. Riley at the front desk was especially helpful. I think that she is knowledgeable, compassionate and caring. I had an issue that I was concerned about and Riley solved it with grace and kindness. These are very important qualities to have in her position. The room was comfortable and the staff including Amy made sure that we knew nice places to go to eat. The convenience of being across from @OregonStateUniversity is terrific for those taking a tour, visiting their child, or doing business on campus. There is a restaurant in the lobby and my daughter enjoyed it. I will stay there again and will recommend it to friends. read more

Warning the room stinks and when we first walked in we thought it was chlorine and maybe the place was just disinfected. We needed to run out quickly so didn't put in much thought until we returned and the smell was so bad it made me nauseous. My daughter said after a while you get use to it however it still stinks for me and getting use to it can mean inhaling toxic fumes. It smells like dangerous chemicals, worse then cheap plastic sitting in a heated rusty shipping container filled with rotting fish actually that might smell less toxic then the room right now. I messaged the hotel and they simply said sorry. I told them to check it tomorrow morning when we move out because something is not right. Planning to keep the window open however struggled for 1/2 hour trying to fix the screen window to keep any bugs out. This is not what I would expect. Wish there was a way to test air quality. If you have such a device please test to see the toxic levels of fume being released from either the AC or floors. read more

I really liked the fact the hotel was next to Oregon State. It was a little different services than at other Hiltons I was use too. I usually would get breakfast at other Hiltons included. Breakfast was extra at this location. Everyone was nice, the place was clean. Would probably stay there again when my son graduates. We were in town for a quick overnight and wanted to be within easy walking distance of Langdon Hall where my son was speaking the next morning. This hotel fit that need perfectly; even pushing a stroller it was just a 10 minute walk to campus. The junior suite rooms were comfortable. The main space was of average size but the separate bedroom was very spacious and could have easily accommodated two cribs/cots and still left room for kids to sit and play a game on the floor. I slept on the foldout couch that was a good deal more comfortable than some I've experienced. The only real negative was that the heater was VERY loud and woke us up several times in the night. If you're a light sleeper it might be worth asking if a quieter room is possible. For those who might share my hobby, there's a geocache in the parking lot! read more

As a HH member I have stayed at a lot of their brands. Garden Inn is one my favorites, but this location was just OK. The room was clean and spacious. I had a great view of the Oregon State University Football stadium which was cool. Made to order omelettes and buffet breakfast is always good! My problem with this location was that someone was smoking on my floor in a non-smoking hotel and my bathroom would reek like smoke every night. I reported it to the front desk twice and nothing was done about it. Housekeeping also skipped my room one of my days. As far as quality of the property this hotel was great - service was very sub par for Hilton. I honestly will most likely choose another hotel next time I'm in the area. read more

I'm not a Beaver and I wasn't here for a game. The property is directly across from the stadium - I imagine that if you are here accidentally on a game weekend, expect it to be crazy. Perhaps if you are needing a nice place for family to stay while they visit you on campus, this would be a good place to put mom and dad. I was in the area for two days of business meetings with a nearby customer and this is the only Hilton property for miles. So even though it's a 25 minute drive to the customer, I managed to get three nights on my HiltonHonors account! This is a perfect Hilton Garden Inn.If you've ever stayed in one (and I've stayed in a few), you should know what to expect. They have a restaurant and full bar, with a good dinner menu. The morning breakfast (free for Honors Gold) has what you would expect - eggs and omelets made to order, a waffle machine, fruit, assorted breads with a toaster, yogurt, juices. Very friendly service from the staff, who seem like good college kids. The room was mostly quiet, which was surprising since they gave me the room right next to the elevator on one side and out the window is the air conditioning unit. Beds are clean and comfortable. Bathroom is reasonably large with a lot of towels and a nice marble-walled shower/tub. Large "regular" screen TV with the usual cable channels, microwave, mini-fridge and coffee maker. Free wireless internet, though I found it to lag a lot at peak hours. If you're in the area and looking for a decent hotel (and it's not a game weekend!), then this is a great hotel. read more

Out of all the Hilton hotels I stay at almost weekly for work this one was the most expensive hotel in the area so I figured it would be a nice place to stay(I know silly of me). I get there after making my non refundable reservation over the phone. $252 a night for one king bed and only me as a guest. They tell me it's $10 for parking and you basically have to pay it bc there's nowhere else to park from what the guy at front desk told me. Whatever. I pay it bc I just want to relax then get up to my room. It's small, bed is hard, tv is old and small, and mini fridge has no freezer and barely gets cold. Mind you, the $252 is a "discounted Hilton honors" rate too. I'll never come back to this location. Thats for sure. read more

Best restaurant thanksgiving ever! We're visiting my brother at school for thanksgiving and were in need of a delicious Thanksgiving dinner. The Hilton was basically the only place open in town so we made a reservation for tonight. I didn't really know what to expect. I figured it would be something like a Chinese food holiday where nothing about the restaurant experience would be different, but I was very wrong . . . in the best way!!! There was a huge buffet set up just for thanksgiving, complete with EVERYTHING one could ever ask for at a thanksgiving dinner was there: fresh cranberry sauce, freshly carved turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, etc. They seriously had everything. Complete with a beverage and pie for dessert. Our waitress was a sweet as can be too. Her name escapes me, but she was so nice and funny. My favorite part was definitely the turkey. I only like white meat, so I was a little nervous that there'd only be dark meat when I learned that it was a buffet, but to my surprise, I discovered a freshly carved selection of thick and moist breast pieces. And with the gravy...YUMMM None of my family has ever been away from home (the bay area) for a holiday, so this was our first traditional holiday spent away from homemade everything with the family. We couldn't have asked for a better place to spend thanksgiving dinner with our family. We loved it! If we're ever in Corvallis during thanksgiving again, we're definitely coming back here! This hotel feels like an inn. Great vibe upon entering. Friendly staff, very clean. Right near campus-walking distance to all sports facilities. Great bar scene. Two TVs with sports on. I stayed here as a jump-off point to the Shrewsbury Renaissance Faire over in King's Valley. Check-in was smooth. The double queen rooms were spacious and included complimentary wi-fi, which worked just fine. The buffet breakfast had the staples of bacon, sausage, eggs, an assortment of fruit, oatmeal, bakery items, juices, and cereal. You have the option to order pancakes directly from your server, which of course I did. The hotel restaurant was not open for lunch during my stay so I had to go out to get something to eat. The downtown area though was less than a mile away. The hotel sits right across from OSU and is actually a part of their well-kept grounds. The gift shop sells college memorabilia. Either there must not be much to do in Corvallis or the hotel chooses not to promote any "things to do" around the area. Like, I know that there are wineries not too far, but they didn't have any type of sightseeing/doing pamphlets out on display. Other than that, this place is a great place for minimal needs, including business center. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again should I find myself in Corvallis in the future. read more

The location is incredible with views of Reser Stadium (Go Beavs!)and easy walking distance to any building on campus. For this being such a pretty hotel, I don't understand a few things. Handicap room isn't by an exit/enter door. My 92 yr old father had to stop 5x just to get to his room. No fans in the bathrooms. After showering, you have to wipe the mirror down to put on your face. There's no channel/tv guide. No map of the hotel. Where do I get ice? Who knows. We won't be back. As always, the Hilton Garden Inn brand continues to impress. Plush mattresses, soft linens, sizable rooms and neutrogena bath amenities all made my stay enjoyable. The hotel is very well-kept and clean with updated decor. The only trouble I experienced was hooking into the wireless internet; I didn't consult the hotel staff about it because they provided ethernet wires in the room to hook into. The staff directed myself and a colleague to a local Irish restaurant off OSU's campus that was excellent and were very professional. Definitely stay here if you're going to an OSU game because the football stadium is right across the street. read more

Stayed here recently for 6 nights. Benny at the front desk is awesome. Will at the bar is fantastic. The housekeeping leaves a little bit to be desired though. I requested housekeeping for every day of my stay. The first 4 days were good, but the 5th day, no service. Requested fresh towels and the trash emptied, which was quickly done. Made sure that we would receive service on the 6th day, left for 6 hours, came back to the room, no service. The pillows on the beds are awful. Too soft and squishy. Asked for firmer pillows, apparently they have none. read more

This is a good Hilton Garden Inn located on the campus of OSU. The stadium is across the street which is a great location for sports and seeing a child who attends the university. We stopped in on our way to the Oregon Coast and because our teenage daughter wanted to check out the campus for college. The front desk staff was nice and accommodating. When we booked, the website stated that the room we reserved had a sofa bed, but the staff told us no sofa beds existed in the entire hotel. They were quick to get us a rollaway bed and switch our room to accommodate one. The neighborhood felt safe and it's just a short drive to downtown. We had great food delivered to the door of our hotel room via an online eating app. The room was decent and bedding was comfortable. I'd love to see a water filling station for such an environmentally aware town! We tried filling water bottles in the fountains but it didn't work well. We'd definitely stay here again, though we were surprised at the high price during summer, given no activities were going on at OSU. We stayed with points. read more

Very plain looking brick hotel outside with very little parking. Walk into the hotel though and it's absolutely beautiful!!!! To the right are big soft trendy looking couches in front of the modern fireplace with chairs and tables around. The backside of the lobby seating and double sided fireplace is a large dining table and chairs. There are windows all over that just add to the beauty of it. On the opposite side is more lobby seating and tables that blend into the pretty little bar area. Next to the reception desk is a super cool trendy wooden box shelving to make a store, but the store is a little scarce right now. You walk past the reception desk to get to the hotel elevators and it's like stepping into another world. It's old and ugly and scuffed up and needing attention. I'm hoping the rooms are like the front of the hotel and not the back so far. The elevator seams updated a bit. Get to the room and it looks like we are stuck between the 2 and I'm not sure they are remodeling the rooms....The bathroom is old school ugly and the room is old and ugly too. It's furnished with the old wood furnishings every hotel did in the 1990's to early 2000's. It needs a remodel!!!!! The carpets are stained as well as the lamp shades. It all needs go except the orange chair and the light behind it will work if you clean or reupholster the shade. The wallpaper can stay if you reupholster the orange chair, but it just doesn't look attractive as is. read more

I stayed here when I was on a business trip a couple of months ago. Man, Oregon's highway is LONGGGGG and Beautiful of course. :) With that being said, the hotel itself is literally one minute from OSU. When I was on the road to this hotel, I missed the exit and docked on 25 more minutes of driving since the next exit was literally 15 miles away! BEWARE and PAY ATTENTION! I do not want this to happen to anyone else! The hotel is clean and super friendly. I was in a regular suite, king size bed with all the amenities. I was a happy camper! Considering, I was traveling alone, they were very accommodating and made me feel welcomed and safe. I requested a crap load of pillows and even ordered room service late and they still accommodated me since I arrived late. I would stay here again. read more

Remember parties in college? After a rugged night at the bars or various houses you'd stumble to the closest couch and/or floor. You may wake up next to marginal characters. The bathroom was the worst sort of septic hell, especially if the party was at the adjoining house. Forget about any food hanging around, and you know there was none at your place. Your body was a wreckage in a foriegn filthy sea, and you just needed to get the hell out. Well, I am a wee more grown up, and the idea of any of this makes me want to run for my morning after pill. Except for the rugged party part. So if you find yourself back in the college town on a game weekend, and you're massive Oyster Shuck and Beer Guzzle is at the park a block away and you want the joy of clean sheets, sparkly bathroom, and waking up next to Mom (who also parties), then this place is ideal. Only drawback, 2 night minimum stay on game weekends. Blows. But actually worked out quite well since well all tied one on the night before. read more

I would have normally rated this Hilton Garden Inn 4*. I understand this Hotel is not a Bellagio or typical 5* Hotel. However, this particular Hilton Garden Inn is deserving of my very first five-star review. First of all, the front desk staff is very friendly and beyond that, they go out of their way to accommodate their guests. When I made my reservation I had noted that I'm a light sleeper and I preferred a room far away from the ice machines and elevators. As an Honors member, I was able to check in the day before I arrived and I was also able to pre-select my room. I unknowingly selected a room directly next to the ice machine and elevators. At check-in, the front desk clerk noted that when they reviewed my online check-in they noticed the room I had selected and they automatically changed it for me to a room far away from the ice machine and elevators based on my reservation notes. As a very light sleeper, I greatly appreciated this attention to detail. The Hotel is immaculate, the rooms are clean and every single staff member I encountered was professional and friendly. Finally, I travel with a very expensive therapeutic pillow I use due to a neck injury. I was near Eugene on the way home before I realized I had accidently left my pillow in my room. Having done this once before at a different Hotel and having to replace my pillow my heart sank realizing it was probably gone forever. I immediately called the Hotel and Housekeeping had not only retrieved my pillow, they alerted the front desk in the event I called. The front desk clerk arranged to ship my pillow to me the very same day - yes I paid the shipping the mistake was my fault. However, the Hotel went out of their way to ensure my pillow would be returned to me as quickly as possible. This was my first trip to Corvallis and should I ever return the Hilton Garden Inn will be the only place I stay. Highly recommend! read more

If you are going to a game at Reeser there is nothing cooler than staying here. There is a lot of football buzz as soon as the morning hits. You can hear the band warming up, there are tons of people in beaver gear...it was great. Another plus is you can go to the hotel at half and warm up. The room was great---fridge, keurig, microwave. I only had two complains: 1.) a tree in front of our window was blocking what would have been an awesome view of Reeser. 2.) no kids stations on the tv (like Nick Jr, Disney Jr or sprout). read more

Most Hilton Garden Inns are pretty standard when it comes to business travel. I would give most of them 4 stars, as they have all the amenities that you come to expect from a business grade hotel. However, this one goes above and beyond the "average" HGI. While this isn't a typical "5 star hotel", from a business perspective, this is about as good as it gets from this price point. The rooms are very clean, comfortable, and come with WiFi, refrigerator, and microwave. There is a pantry downstairs that has all of the necessities without the need to travel to the store. The beds are very comfortable (for a hotel bed). Breakfast is 9.95 for a buffet that includes an egg dish made to order. They have room service and a dining room downstairs, along with a bar. What really makes this hotel shine is that each of the features are much better than the HGIs at other locations. The hotel is built to look like the campus buildings (red brick), so it looks like it belongs in the area without being the standard stucco look you get from most. The beds are the "sleep comfort" type, where you can adjust the hardness or softness of the bed (only on the Kings). The TV is a standard tube, but that doesn't really matter, as the WiFi gave me a speed test of over 8Mb/s download and 3Mb/s upload during peak hours. That is simply amazing in my book, and I was able to stream from Netflix and do some work over a VPN without any delay. No need for the TV. Most hotels (including HGI) cap it off at 1Mb, so this is a screaming connection. The dining room is very nice, and has a look and feel that is more akin to a nice hotel rather than a standard business hotel. The bar has a nice selection of beers, and the room service is quick and very good (and reasonably priced for room service). The pantry not only contains the necessities, but also contains some Beaver gear to give it more of an on-campus feel. The staff is friendly as usual, and the price point for the room is very reasonable (140 + tax if you book ahead). I really enjoyed the bed, but if you don't like the "sleep comfort" style, it may not be your cup of tea. Overall, this is the only place I will stay when I am doing business in the Corvallis area. Nothing else out there compares. read more
