Great hotel with a very friendly staff. My room was clean and bed was very comfortable. It is off the beaten path a bit for restaurants and bars, but it does have a great bar/restaurant inside. They have a nice pool and hot tub as well as fitness center. The fitness center has 2 treadmills and a Pelaton bike as well as free weights. They offer warm chocolate chip cookies in the evening. Coffee is free and available 24/7. Carolyn at the bar made me an excellent martini with her own bleu cheese stuffed olives. I had the hummus platter which is enough for 2 or more people. Breakfast consists of continental for $7.95 which includes pastries, fruits, cereal and juices. They also offer hot breakfast consisting of eggs and breakfast meats. Plenty of parking available. The Wifi is easy to connect to and quite fast. read more

We were in town for a the TICA show. When researching where we would stay there were a lot hotels in the area all about the same price point. We chose Hilton because I am a Hilton Honors member and typically enjoy staying with Hilton. I had selected a digital key option and reported my time of arrival. I was driving 6.5 hours with young children, so I was hoping to be able to get them settled in right away. About an hour before arrival I still hadn't gotten our digital key (this was after our stated time of arrival because kids made more rest stops than I planned). I called and asked if the room was ready or if there were problems with the digital key. They told me that the room wasn't cleaned yet and I would get the key when it was, but assured me the room would be clean when I get there. It wasn't. We had to ask them to switch rooms and waited for the room to be ready. The room was large, but not necessarily clean. It had a weird smell, but after a long drive, I was not trying to switch rooms again. I figured they would get it cleaned during room service time the next morning. We had dinner in the lobby. The food was acceptable and reasonably priced. The drinks were strong (always a good thing). The waitress was super nice. The kids swam in the pool. The pool was clean and the kids enjoyed it. The next morning we leave for the show at 7 am. We do not arrive back to the hotel until after 6:00 pm. We arrive to the room to find the room has not been cleaned at all. They did not take out any trash. Did not replace any used towels or hand soaps. Room still smells weird. In the elevator is now a tipped over Lysol wipes dispenser. That is currently still in the elevator. I am not sure how people are expected to fit carts in the elevator to bring down their bags and luggage. When I called the front desk to ask about the cleaning and to get new towels, the lady at the desk said "you can come get the towels if you want at the front desk. We had a lot of check-outs yesterday so we probably just never got around to cleaning your room" um what? For $150 per night and 11 hours out of the room, you'd think that tidying the room would be included. They don't have anyone to bring the towels up either? Weird. So I left my children in the room alone, and went to get the towels. They would only give me 1 set of towel I guess we're all supposed to share. Overall, the stay worked. We had somewhere to sleep and eat. I wouldn't say it was a great experience. It definitely wasn't the typical experience I have had with Hilton. Next time we're out here for the Wooster show, we will stay somewhere else read more

On my quest for office furniture - my Mother and I took a road trip up to Wooster, OH and stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn to spend the night before our appointment the following morning. We arrived about 6:30 pm and checked in. We had rooms directly across the hall from each other. I had an entire suite: office area/living room area, kitchenette, bathroom, and separate bedroom with two Queen beds. I had two TV's (one in the office/living room and one in the bedroom), plus a small refrigerator, microwave oven, and coffee maker. We each received a coupon with our room keys for two free bottles of water - which we each collected on. They also have a small pantry/convenience store area down by the front desk where they carry toiletries, food, drinks, reading materials, and more. I bought a Diet Coke while I was collecting my free water. And they have a large plate of free Chocolate Chip cookies sitting on the reception counter - I snagged a couple after we returned from dinner at TJ's. The bed was extremely comfortable. After watching Stargate Atlantis on the Sci Fi Channel, I drifted off to sleep. I slept almost 7 hours without waking up! Breakfast was the only thing lacking - they offered very limited breakfast options - compared to some other Hilton Garden Inn's I've stayed at. There is a Bob Evan's just down the road, if I visit here again, I will head to BE's for breakfast. To start from the beginning, the hotel was very clean and organized. Our room was large with high ceilings. We went to the pool. It was warm and the hot tub was amazing. We brought our dog. The desk person was very friendly and gave our dog treats. He explained where the dog area was and more. My family and I went to dinner in the hotel. The food was delicious. We also had a few drinks. The bartender made the best drinks, and the server was so nice. We talked about our dogs. She made us feel so comfortable. I loved that this hotel allowed dogs. It was so fun to see other dogs and talk to owners about their dogs. The next morning, we had breakfast. The food was yummy, and I enjoyed it. read more

I'd definitely stay here again. I was at my cousin's wedding over the weekend and stayed at the HGI Wooster. I figured this was probably the best hotel in Wooster (for the most part, or at least the closest to the wedding reception across the street). The room was clean, cold (which I love), and very quiet. The beds were also comfortable (good pillows) and the breakfast was pretty good too. Who doesn't love a plate of bacon? I wish you had a TV guide channel because the lazy man does not want to scroll through 40 some channels to see what is on tv. Best part: This had the CLEANEST hotel bathroom I have ever seen. I'd let the 5 second rule (yes, not 2 second!) fly if I dropped something in the bathroom. The biggest issue with this place the price for breakfast can be a bit confusing: they charge two different rates 6.95 and 9.95 I believe based on what you order. Still not sure really. This is an adequate hotel but far from what I would consider nice. This is the second time I've stayed here and it will definitely be the last time. Overall it's okay but the biggest issue is that every door in this place slams shut. Violently. Unfortunately my room is on the end of the hallway next to an exterior exit door, with a stairway door on the other side of the room. The doors slam so hard it rattles my door. Even the room doors slam shut. I recall this being an issue last stay as well. Stay somewhere else, there is a nice Hilton and Doubletree in Fairlawn. Just avoid this place. read more

Oh dear town, this is about the only decent hotel close to town. I was expecting a bit more from Hilton, but hey it's Wooster. The rooms are spacious and appears to be clean. You can set your sleep number on the mattress which is kind of cool, but I never was able to get it right for me. I couldn't get over the fact that they had a hose through the floor all the way to the hot tub...weird. The dinning area had flies constantly and our lunch, a steak sandwich, didn't have any flavor. Overall food didn't look that great at all. If I ever return to town, probably never...I guess I will have to stay here, but I will definitely consider driving 40 minutes so I can stay at a decent Marriott. read more

I've stayed here numerous times this year while on business. This is pretty much a standard Hilton Garden Inn. Rooms are normal size. Place is *very* quiet. If you are a Hilton Gold member (I am), breakfast is free; otherwise, you will have to pay for breakfast. Honestly, the dinner at the bar is absolutely awful. I only eat here if I'm just too tired to drive to downtown Wooster. Wait staff is generally pleasant though. Other than the dinner, very reliable, clean, and comfortable place to stay. read more

Front desk seemed a bit bothered and when I checked out there was a nite at the desk, they would return in 5 minutes. No one was there and check out on the TV was not working. Place appears fairly new and very clean. Nothing around the hotel and kind of secluded (a plus for me) and it was a 10 min drive to downtown restaurants but a pretty decent variation of places and we had a good dinner. We were impressed w the lobby and the staff was attentive at check in. Hotel bar has no character (zero semblance of a bar) but they do have all the standards. After paying $150 for the room I refused to dish out $11 apiece for breakfast so we grabbed coffee and left. B-fast should be free. All in all though, it was a good stay. When I travel each month up to to the Wooster area for a client visit, I make certain to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn. The Wooster HGI is a clean and convenient facility. The rooms are large with flat screen TVs and complimentary WiFi. There's a swimming pool and small fitness center for the guests. The restaurant serves a great American buffet breakfast. Great hotel. We have been here 3-4 times. We have mostly been here for our kids' swim meet at Wooster YMCA. It nice to stay close so we don't have to drive to the meet super early and we consider it a nice reward for the hard work our kids put forth in their meet. We actually stay the whole weekend, it's a nice relaxing get away. After an entire day of competitive swimming, the first thing the kids want to do is head to the pool and hot tub. Rarely anyone there, it's relaxing for us too. Madeline was sooooo sweet to us last night. We had pizza and played games downstairs. Ordered out but she was just awesome and helpful. Kids love the evening cookies. There is an Escape room nearby, have not tried it but may be interesting. We reserved the sweet, it was very comfy and had all we needed. Two other families joined us and they seemed pretty happy here too. Room had a frig , Keurig, and microwave. Nice set up for a suite. Will be back. read more

I've stayed at this hotel 20-25 times over the last 6 years. The staff seems to never be the same each time we go other than the rude night manager. She is no delight. I see others have had complaints about the breakfast but my husband & I love it. He gets free breakfast because of his HHonors status so we get the $9.95 meal free. I love the french toast and he always gets some sort of omelet and a large variety of fruit. The kitchen staff is great! The beds are soft and comfortable. The Sleep-number beds are pretty cool! The rooms are clean and tidy. I don't recommend anyone use their cribs though. They look like they are stored in the dumpster! Yuck! read more
