Stayed here in April, 2018 for a business trip. I was here for just over a week, and it was a very enjoyable stay. First of all, the location is great as far as being right above the Central Line station. Great for getting around. The hotel is also right across from a bike and pedestrian entrance to Hyde Park. Catching a ride (taxi/uber/addison lee) was a little tricky, depending on traffic, but it all seemed to work out. The room I was in was very comfortable. There was a small area where there was a round table and chairs where I could enjoy the views and eat breakfast. The room has a little mini-fridge and a Nespresso machine. Since there is a market right around the corner, I was able to pick up some milk and pop it in the fridge so I'd not run short of those little creamers they leave (which are never enough). The TV was off to the right of the bed, which made for awkward viewing until I realized that I could pull it away from the wall and outside of the frame and angle it towards the bed. Be careful of the cables in the back to make sure you don't pull anything loose. The bathroom had this weird noise it would make, like a rattle of the plumbing or something. I never did figure out if it was the supply or some sort of pump. I guess it's all the rooms and not just the one I was in because I could hear the same sound in the distance when other people would shower/run the sink. Sometimes, housekeeping would take forever to turn over the room. I could come back to the room at 4pm and it still hadn't been serviced. But, that didn't bug me too much. I think it was more uncomfortable for the employees as I'd tell them it was okay to come in while I was there and they'd always hesitate a little. I had a number of room service breakfasts, which were all pretty good. Mostly, I'd dine at the surrounding places or Deliveroo. All in all, a very nice stay in a very good location. The only thing that would make it better for me would have been an Executive Lounge so I wouldn't have to work in the room so much.

The staff were absolutely nice and helpful and always available. The room was so small for the price and a little awkward shape, including a small tiny step to the restroom which you had to remember in the middle of the night to avoid tripping!!! The location was convenient as it was right next to the Red line Underground!!! The adjacencies to a good restaurant made it easy to have access to very good quality food on the day of your travel. The bedding was comfortable and the decor in the bathroom was specifically very new and pleasant. The cost was, well after all the 1/2 dozen taxes and fees a bit too high overall.

A somewhat small but very conveniently located hotel across from Hyde Park. It feels more like a boutique hotel than a Hilton. It's smaller in size than other Hiltons I've stayed at. It's within walking distance of two Tube stations (Bayswater and Queensway). Queensway is literally about 100 feet from the hotel. You can easily get to the city or other locations from this hotel. It's perfect for business travelers, but worked just as well for our family vacation. The staff were so helpful and prompt in responding to our requests. They left us a handwritten welcoming note and several premium chocolates. We booked a superior room with two beds. The second bed was a sofa bed which was hard and uncomfortable. My child didn't mind but I definitely expected a regular bed not a sofa bed. The room was clean and nicely decorated in a modern style. The bathroom is gorgeous. There's a large luxurious tub. The hotel provides high quality Peter Thomas Roth skincare and hair care products. You also get a mini fridge, iron and hair dryer. Our room was downstairs in the 1003 area. It's very quiet. Considering this hotel faces a busy street, we didn't hear any traffic or sirens at all. There's free wi-fi. I believe you have to be a Hilton Honors member to get the free wi-fi. However, it's easy and free to join HH. There is a lovely attached cafe where you can eat all kinds of delicious pastries or have a full English breakfast buffet. It's a nice restaurant though pricey. If you want to save some pounds, go next door to the Lo Sputnio restaurant which has breakfast for a more reasonable price. There isn't a gym at the hotel but you can easily jog or walk Hyde Park as residents do. It's a beautiful Park perfect for outdoor exercise. We enjoyed our stay here and would definitely return.

Towel bars close to the ground. Little counterspace.

This hotel is a solid 3 in comparison to the Islington Hilton (http://www.yelp.co.uk/biz/the-hilton-london#query:hilton%20islington), which I also stayed at in the same week. In short: Both hotels are within 3 miles of London city center (per Hilton website). At the time of my visit, the Islington hotel was only 10£ more and is more along what you would expect of a 'typical' Hilton - bigger building, bigger rooms. If you don't mind the difference after currency conversion, stay at the Islington one. But, this review is about Hyde Park, so back to our regularly scheduled program. This hotel was a bit like a shoebox that was turned vertically and put in a corner location in London - the room had fairly cramped walking areas. Hotel very clean for the most part, there was some mildew in the shower that was easy enough to avoid. Bathroom and closet a bit oudated and somewhat poorly utilized organizational space, but sink large and there is sufficient counter space. Bed very clean (no disgusting decorative covers), and there is a mounted flat screen TV. "Double" room = Queen bed. Room had ceiling Air Conditioning unit and a radiator heater. (Photos of room uploaded) PROS: * Very close to the Underground: Queensway station literally around the corner. Bayswater station 1 minute walk up the street. * Free Internet: Lobby computer for free internet (though this was broken during my entire stay. Got a note from Hilton this has been fixed.) Luckily Starbucks is 1 block north - Free internet with a registered Sbux card =) * Very convenient stores and restaurants around: HSBC and Barclay ATMs/Cash machines 1 block away (both don't charge ATM fees), Tesco Express (water and snacks), Starbucks (free internet), Whiteley Mall, and restaurants. * Hyde Park and Harrods within walking distance. * Quick Check-in and Check-out. * Front desk and Concierege were very friendly - because the lobby computer with free internet was broken, I was allowed to use the Concierge computer twice (before I discovered the nearby Starbucks). * Housekeeping very friendly. CONS: * Hiltons give free water with status... no such simple freebies at this one. * Fairly cramped room. * Bathroom cramped, could be cleaner, and it wasn't laid out well. Toilet paper was clear across the bathroom (mind it's not a very large bathroom). Towel bars under the sink left towels hanging closer to the floor than I would have liked. Standing shower only. * Air Conditioning thermostat hiding behind lamp... for those visiting in summer, this is a bit of a scavenger hunt/surprise. * Couldn't shut radiator off completely - turned it off, but it still emitted heat, making room uncomfortably warm. Fortunately there is Air Conditioning, which really is a silly thing to run when it's 4*C/40*F outside.... * Doors not thick enough - a loud neighbor walking down the halls woke me up.

The AC is very good, but it's the worst Hilton I've ever encountered. It's an all around terrible value.

To begin, the staff at this hotel are phenomenal! When we checked in we were greeted by lovely doormen who helped us with our bags (and helped us get taxis throughout our stay). Upon check-in we realized that we accidentally booked the wrong checkout day... but the receptionists were able to extend our stay easily and without us having to move rooms which was a huge relief! The receptionists were very welcoming and were kind enough to give us a tour of the hotel before showing us to our room where they explained how to work the tv and air conditioning. It was so nice to get the lay of the land and feel confident getting to the gym, the bar, or to breakfast in the morning! Everyone we encountered was incredibly helpful, kind, and attentive. Our room was beautiful! We had a giant window facing a beautiful park that let in tons of natural light. We visited in July and were extremely happy to find that our air conditioning worked WELL! This was something we were both worried about beforehand. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the blackout curtains were perfect for sleeping in! We both loved the complimentary shampoo, conditioner, and body wash - it smelled fantastic and felt very high quality (I'm very picky on my shampoo and conditioner). The hair dryer was also very powerful and high quality which I find is not usually the case in hotels (people with long hair will understand). We had turn down service every evening which was amazing to come back to after a dinner out. What we probably loved the most and what's something I've never seen at a hotel before was the cold plunge! My fiance loves cryotherapy, ice baths, cold plunges and all of those types of things and was ecstatic! I prefer the heat and loved the sauna. The gym was very clean and had everything necessary for a good workout. It even included a swim spa style pool for lap swimming! The amenities at this hotel were just incredible! The food was AMAZING! I highly recommend having breakfast at the hotel. There is always a smoothie and juice of the day and a variety of treats (muffins, toast, etc) to start off... the blueberry and chocolate muffins were to die for! My fiance and I both had and loved the avocado toast with poached eggs as well as the omelette. While we didn't eat dinner at the hotel, we had drinks and snacks at The Stable Bar - cheese toasties, club sandwich, etc. and they were incredible! The Stable Bar was once an actual stable and was absolutely gorgeous and unique (I loved the horse themed artwork and took many pictures). The bartenders were both so sweet - one of my friends was talking about how he was going to Romania the next morning and the bartender gave him a handwritten list of recommendations for his trip! I highly recommend staying at The Milestone Hotel if you're visiting London! The staff are beyond lovely and are genuinely happy to help you have the best stay possible whether that means giving you recommendations for restaurants or museums or giving you a tour of the hotel so you know how to get around! The location is incredible - very central and right across the street from a massive park. The building itself is just gorgeous with spacious, well decorated rooms and beautiful artwork and flowers throughout the hotel. The food and drinks were amazing and the amenities were outrageous (in a good way)! If you want to have a picture-perfect stay in London, stay at the Milestone!

As a sometimes lone traveler, a hotel made sense for safety, but I was surprised and pleased with this small boutique hotel. Rooms are gonna be tiny in London for the $$, so plan accordingly. I stayed in a Classic King room which was comfy but had very little space to circulate. I was concerned being on a busy street/Cromwell, but because of the *double windows* (interior ones opens up/down), it was joyfully quiet, just a whisper of car noise. It's something I wish more places in the US had, especially when you face noisy streets. I realize second windows are usually for the cold, but street noises can be pervasive and affect every day life. I slept very well, every night. A couple of stand out staff members: -the front desk manager on my arrival had some hot early gray tea delivered since I survived a 10+ hour trip (little sleep), so it was a nice way to wake up. Also, some biscuits were delivered later. -staff member who brought up my suitcase, my tea, and helped get a requested small refrigerator into my room. -two front desk people (woman then a man), helped me figure out how to get from the hotel to Paddington for a early morning flight. The gentleman called to request a black cab since the Tube wasn't open and he went out with me to greet the cab driver and help me with my bag. -Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The location was also good. I didn't want to be in the thick of tourists, so staying in South Kensington worked for me. The tube stations (Earl's Court and Gloucester Road stations) were about 8-10 minute walk). Thank you for making my stay in London comfortable and enjoyable.

We were looking for something fun and different from a traditional afternoon tea, and this definitely leaned more interactive than expected. Arrival and First Impressions Reservations are important, and when we arrived the space was already filled with families. The setting feels polished but still very welcoming for kids, which is not always the case with afternoon tea in London. Service was excellent from the start, organized without feeling too formal, and the overall atmosphere had a fun, lively energy. The Highlights The experience is built around science themed trays filled with a mix of sweet and savory items. The kids immediately locked into the interactive elements, especially the build your own strawberry lemonade with different colored syrups, which turned into more of a mini experiment than just a drink. They also had cake pops, scones, and small PB and J sandwiches, all very approachable and fun. One of the better touches was a small take home item, a dinosaur themed tin, which the kids treated like a prize from the experience. It added to the overall feeling that this was designed with kids in mind. The adult trays had a similar variety with finger sandwiches, pastries, custards, and scones. Everything was solid and there was plenty to try. Being able to request more of anything you liked helped balance things out a bit and made it feel less restrictive for the price. The Challenges The biggest drawback is the cost. For a family of four it came out to around 350 USD, which is a significant spend for what is essentially afternoon tea. It leans more toward a themed experience than a traditional tea service, so if you are expecting something quiet and refined, this may not be the right fit. Final Thoughts This is one of those experiences that works really well if you go in with the right expectations. It is interactive, a little chaotic in a good way, and clearly designed for families more than traditional tea purists. We would not rush back and I removed a star due to the price, but we are glad we did it once because the kids genuinely loved it and still talk about it. If you are looking for something unique and are comfortable with the cost, it is worth it for the experience, though the value depends on how much you lean into the interactive side.

The savory sandwiches were our favorite. The scones were very good with fun toppings to try on your jam and cream. The sweets were just okay.
