Dr. Herstik, didn't do X-rays but truthfully, he didn't need to. He correctly diagnosed the problem with my foot. As for the orthotics, the process and pricing is pretty standard and I use mine everyday so no complaints there. As for the staff's demeanor, they are certainly busy but I never had any bad experiences with them. They seemed fine to me.

I'm sorry I haven't updated my review in many years. I'm always learning something new about our bodies. Today through March 17 there's the Art Exhibit that's beautiful images of the brain. I didn't take the time to read the details of each piece. I think you may enjoy the free exhibit if you're in the neighborhood. I thought the images were beautiful and I was entertained. I'll be sure to continue to check for future exhibits when I am visiting Mt. Sinai Hospital. The reception desk and information center staff were very helpful and I always feel welcome.

It is important before you arrive to know exactly what entrance and street address you will need to enter the building to get checked in. This is a very large hospital with more then one entrance on different streets. It goes on for blocks and blocks. I found the easiest way to get around NYC was to take Lyft to the hospital if you don't drive in to NYC. You can book them in advance and I never waited for a driver more then 2 minutes. It's door to door service and much easier and less stressful then taking a taxi. If your staying at the Marmara Hotel Mt. Sinai offers a FREE Shuttle bus to and from the hospital approximately every 1/2 hr. I did not use it because you have to walk a block down from the hotel and wait outside for the bus. If it's raining or snowing it's not convinent, plus I found the times didn't work for our appointmens. The Ichan School of Medicine at Mt. Sinai Hospital has so many different departments with top-notch physicians. The treatment my sister-in-law received was amazing! The lab was funded by NIH and NASA on the studies in motion sickness and mal de debarquement syndrome (MdDS). As a result of this research, this lab is the first ever to offer effective treatment for mal de debarquement syndrome and a host of other illnesses. I highly recommend making an appointment and coming here to see Mr. Sergei who was trained by NASA and worked with Dr. Dai.

They turned an apartment into an office which was a bit weird to me. When I saw the nurse practitioner she was not confident at all, I actually questioned if she had her credentials because she literally told me nothing. Then they send you downstairs to get x rays which isn't done by a x ray tech it's done by whoever is available. They tell me the chiropractor doesn't come in until the following week so that's when it will be read. You're a spine center and you don't have someone on staff to read x rays?? You will see a whole train of people but the person I was most turned off by was "Dr.K". He's nice sure but a little creepy talking to adults, he will talk to you like you're about 7. It was at that point I said I gotta get out of here this is a scam. They bait and switch you so you have to come back for another visit to get your results. It's been weeks and not a soul has called me. This place just doesn't feel right. They also offer Botox which if your red flags weren't already raised they should be now! I'm pretty sure everyone that said they were a "Dr" there is some sort of tech so don't be fooled.

The staff is incredibly rude, unprofessional, and the first thing I was told when walking up to the office was "we open at 2:30" (even though a staff member told me over the phone to come at 2:15 to complete paperwork). I waited for awhile, and spent the first 30 minutes of my visit answering questions that I already put on the questionnaire. I was then given pamphlets about getting vitamin shots (which was never the reason why I came to this chiropractor). Even though I was told over the phone my appointment would be 45 minutes, it was about an hour and I even told the front desk I had to be out by 3 PM. The chiropractor came out, said we would do X-rays and he would get me out the door. I was late getting out since the X-ray took longer, got no adjustment and paid $250 for no adjustment. Not to mention, the office smells like marijuana, my chiropractor made me feel uncomfortable by asking me the same question 2x, slurring a bit, and making weird jokes. Really unfortunate experience, but when getting my neck and back adjusted, I want someone professional and who I feel confident in. This missed the mark.

When I arrived everything was easy and efficient. They do have an X-ray machine on hand which was helpful to be able to make sure my toe wasn't broken. I had a lot of blood built up which was causing a lot of pain in my toe and he was able to drain it out there there and then and nearly immediately started to feel relief. So glad I made an appointment and went in. Highly recommend!

I've been here a couple of times, once for a foot MRI, and also for hand surgery…read more The MRI technicians were really nice and made the experience as pleasant as can be, for the experience of sticking yourself halfway into a noisy tube. They give you headphones and will play pleasant music to help distract you while you try to hold perfectly still. For hand surgery, my doctor, Dr Halim, was excellent. She has a great bedside manner and very skilled. My surgery was short, and recovery was quick. I'll definitely come back here if I need to have my other hand taken care of.
