Perhaps because I am a Diamond member, but in any case, the lady at check-in was super friendly and got me in my room right away. I was given an "upgrade" to a park view on the highest floor, which just allowed for a better view of the park, but wasn't incredibly necessary. The room was "small" compared to American standards, especially the bathroom, but it was spacious and clean compared to European standards! The bed and pillows were super soft and comfy, and the only thing that I was really missing was a safe. The cost for two nights was like staying at a decent hotel in NYC, but the service and cleanliness were well worth it for a stay in the heart of London. I also felt very safe walking in the nearby neighborhoods (near Hyde Park) at night.

The location was excellent. In a short walk you could be at the Tower of London, Tower bridge, and a tube station. There's plenty of space out front for vehicles to pick you up or make deliveries. I think the reviewer that mentioned that the thermostat seemed like it was from the 1980s was being generous. It had five tiny buttons to control the temperature with absolutely no indication as to what those numbers did. What temperature will they make the room? Just take a guess! What really upset me and will prevent me from staying here again is one of their policies. I happened to check my email the day I was leaving the country. It was from the hotel stating they were not able to put a pre-authorization on my credit card of one pound (to prevent fraud) and that they would cancel my reservation in 24 hours if they did not hear from me. What happened was that when I made the reservation my card was still good but it was set to expire in a few months (right before my trip). So if I wouldn't have seen this email I would have shown up to the hotel and not had a room waiting for me. In a panic I called all three of the other hotels that I was going to stay at and they all said the same thing, which is that they would never cancel my reservation for something like this. One of those was also a Hilton, which owns Doubletree. So this DoubleTree policy is atrocious. My complaints were not addressed either. they just said it was their policy. There are so many ways this could have been handled better. They knew my expiration date when I made the reservation. They could have contacted me way before the reservation. They could have done a pre-authorization way before the reservation. Just so frustrating.

Their entire staff is actually operating from their restaurant named 'The Pickled Hen'. Everyone who works here makes everyone feel better and happy to accommodate everyone who stays here. The room was wonderfully appointed and the bedding was wonderful. I am excited to see their new lobby later in the summer 2026 and happy this staff will be there to welcome us back! We loved our stay!

This is a hotel I will never stay at again! At 3:00 am an idiot guest was vaping and triggered the…read morehotel fire alarms in every room. It blasted for over 15 minutes at deafening sound level. Plus, no air conditioning, other than a loud floor portable that didn't cool and was as loud as the train station. The manager told me he wouldn't post a no vaping sign. I told him about the noise, showed him the decibel reading, he said he wasn't an engineer! So after the bars close I guess guests that vape can think it's ok, they can argue vaping is not a lit cigarette. Between the construction, noise, no air conditioning, management, this hotel is not one we will risk staying at again. Totally disappointed, a ruined and wasted day.

I was very impressed with the service the hotel provided as servers frequently checked on us to make sure we were okay. She (the server) did an excellent job explaining what each item was. Tea and food were outstanding and delicious. I'm so glad we had Afternoon Tea here because the major touristy places that did tea were always full or very busy for days ahead . Here, it was a quick reservation from my friend who was staying here. So glad we got to experience this because I have never had a British Afternoon Tea before .

Overall, we had a solid stay there. The room was the sofa and king-sized bed was lovely. We had plenty of space for our luggage. The closet space was good. The bathroom had enough space to move about and go between the sinks and shower, which had ample water pressure. The one drawback was the lack of outlets by the night tables as well as usb outlets. You had to leverage the one spot on the desk that had them. Also the lamps were not the easiest to use and gave my wife some frustration. The concierge was decent outside of not being the helpful regarding gluten-free options that were available. We figured it out but that was a bit of a challenge. The restaurants in the hotel were decent although the 1970s sports bar theme that looked straight out of Smokey and the Bandit was cringe. The food was ok. I preferred the breakfast spot that has plump sausages as that was good. We were able to take advantage of the Club Lounge while we were there. While the accommodations between the comfortable seating and buffet style options were nice (paneer, beef casserole, nachos), I found the staff hovered a bit too much around the room, so it was a little challenging to relax as much as we would prefer. Still, it is a solid stay if you need something that is close to the airport for the night.

The staff were very welcoming and accommodating as I had an early check in. The room was extremely spacious, comfortable bed, shower head was the best, a variety of coffee and tea selection to choose from in the room, and a mini refrigerator was so convenient. I stayed on the 11th floor facing the Citi building and I was also able to take in the beauty of the sunrise. Absolutely stunning! There was also a restaurant in the lobby and breakfast was included, but I did not participate this time around as I was occupied. I, however did enjoy the gym in the hotel and the WiFi was super fast especially in the evening hours as I had to log into work remotely. Overall! I'd highly recommend staying here if you'd like to be close to the canary wharf area.

We were greeted warmly by the staff, and found our room comfortable and clean. The breakfast was good, but nothing special. It also took someone about 20 minutes and asking twice for any milk and sugar to be brought to our table, by then which our coffee was cold. From this hotel it is very easy to take public transport to all the major attractions in London, which we did, and we enjoyed being able to come back to quiet area after our trips out. There were plenty of restaurants and even a grocery store around the hotel as well. Over all I would stay here again if I find myself back in London.
