He is a bit strict but you can tell he is passionate about teaching if you are about learning. He really pushes you in the right direction I feel like I'm flying through study with him and loving every minute of it. The instruction was a bit too fast-paced for my 8 year old son, however. The second teacher was a drum teacher and his instruction was more slower paced and his instructions clear. Unfortunately, my son decided he wasn't going to do music classes anymore. So we settled for buying my son a keyboard and a drum and let him rock it out own his own terms.
