We have made the most incredible connections and have loved watching the growth over the years. We love the fire Ps Jesse has demonstrated while standing firm in biblical foundation. We also love that we can come in each week whether we are on a mountain or in a valley and there are people to love on us and pray over us. It is home and it is family.

I found this church through the 9marks website and for 2 weeks, I have been trying to figure out a…read moreway to get a callback from someone, or anyone from over there, while staying at a hotel here in West Des Moines for the last 2 weekends. Because of the nature of my job, I cannot predict where I will layover every weekend, & unfortunately, I don't know where I'm going to layover, until Friday, & maybe a Thursday evening, at best, but when I do layover, I cannot leave the hotel with my company truck & the hotel doesn't offer me a shuttle service. The church receptionist told me that they were going to give me an Uber gift card. I thought that was very kind & gracious of them, but I can get an Uber on my own. Why not just give me a call back, & have a conversation with me, & see if any of the congregation or leadership may live nearby so that I can get a ride & establish immediate fellowship, rather than take an Uber with a stranger? This is a reason for which I'm praying for, and prayerfully hoping for the leadership, (deacons, staff,) & the congregation would serve, in accordance with Soteria's church community mission, with the goal of friendly outreach to visitors, fellowship, help, etc. I want to be in fellowship with Christ's People, every Lord's Day & I have a profound respect for "9marks" & the fact that they referred this church. I'm just trying to be a more devoted believer, who just wants to be with Christ's people, no matter where I am. BTW I'm still waiting for a callback, & still praying.

The sermons are great, with application and teaching from the Bible that is not shallow but also not too complex to understand. It's very relatable. Once I decided that was the place I wanted to go, and I started getting involved, I quickly discovered that was the right choice. People weren't fake, and I really have gotten to know them. It truly is like a family now. There are options for kids, teens, career/college age, and adults for involvement. There's also an introductory class that goes over what the church is about. Definitely recommended! Service times are 9:00 AM and 10:45 AM on Sundays.

I felt at home shortly after I walked through the door that first Sunday and after a couple months knew this was the church that I wanted to be a member of. I love the feeling I get when I walk in each Sunday. I got involved which I had never done at other churches. I know everyone there and everyone knows me. I love the small church feel, we are a family. It has been almost two years now and I get that same feeling now when I walk in the doors as I did then. If you are looking for a church that you can feel like I do, join us on any Sunday at 10:00 am and see what you think of our little family.
