The appointment was made for 10am but the morning of the drivers called and asked for an earlier time of around 8. This was not possible but I told them I could be there earlier and we agreed to 0945 meet at the PODs facility. At 1000 the driver called and said he would be 18 minutes late. The driver called again at 1020 and said he couldn't find the place. I then called in the main like to talk to the manager. The manager said the truck was having trouble with the address of the PODs facility. I told him the address again and the manager started accusing me of supplying a completely different address. I told him no, I of course gave him the correct address. He then started yelling at me stating I did not give him the correct address. We argued back in forth, him shouting no I gave the wrong address, and me calmly stating yes I did. He held his ground but why would I give a wrong address? I need my stuff moved. He then said his truck was across the ferry in Aransas Pass. There is not a PODs facility in Aransas Pass and the address' given were in Corpus Cristi and Rockport. He said the truck spent too much time driving around already and we should just cancel your move. Complete unprofessionalism, and lack of competence, and to actually yell at a customer accusing them of lying, repeatedly. Despite claims on his website, he never filed the required permit for the plumbing work and used unlicensed plumbers on my home. When I asked for subcontractor names, license numbers, or proof of insurance, he delayed providing any documentation. I finally got the COI. FUNNY the policy start date was the date after I asked for it. I paid a $12,500 deposit. Work done: Demolition/prep, unpermitted/unlicensed plumbing (which I had to fix), unfinished cabinets, and cans of paint (nothing painted). Certainly not $12500 worth of work. Deadlines were pushed from the promised 2 weeks to a month, bait and switch. The lack of permits, the use of unlicensed trades, the refusal to disclose subcontractor or insurance details, and his increased hostility forced me to terminate him. I tried arbitration via BBB and he has refused to respond. He took off with my large deposit and left me with a torn‑apart kitchen. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this contractor. I should have paid more attention to the red flags. After asking for a general quote via BBB, he unexpectedly showed up at my house, UNINVITED. Predatory behavior, Red Flag 1. Conversation got too personal, not professional on his part, Red Flag 2. Spoke poorly of and to his wife, Red Flag 3.
