I searched all over…read morefor a beginning dance class that fit our lifestyle (read: had classes at times that weren't mid-day or too late) and fit my daughter's skill level. Often by age 6, most studios have assumed children have been dancing for 3-4 years and my daughter no longer fit into their "beginning" classes. EDS popped up a few times, and the location was fairly convenient, as were the class times and offerings. My daughter was VERY eager to start in Beginning Ballet and learn to dance. From the beginning we were impressed with EDS and their flexibility. My daughter couldn't attend her first class until the 3rd week of the season. They accepted her warmly and without penalty, and reminded me that the first class you take is completely free (so if you hate it, you don't pay for it.) She got a free dance bag (which is a pretty cheap drawstring backpack, BUT she loves it and is very proud of it) and got to paint her hand and put her handprint on the wall in the hallway, and she was so proud to do that. What I was VERY excited about was their willingness to accept her and work with her, regardless of her Austism diagnosis. Many studios said they weren't equipped, or they didn't have the staff to accommodate a special needs dancer. EDS goes above and beyond to accommodate and welcome dancers and families with special needs. They have a Special Olympics team, a unified dance team, special needs classes, and more. We've never felt out of place or unwelcome at EDS (and special needs families know that is an ongoing battle.) Miss Brianne is a wonderful teacher and has met my daughter at her skill level, and my daughter has been thrilled to go to class each week. The staff is warm and welcoming, and I've never heard an angry instructor or crying student. The studios are light and bright and airy and they truly go out of their way to make every student feel welcome and important.

Our weekly dance practices ended up being the highlight of our week. She broke down everything into basics and helped create and teach the choreography in chunks. As the weeks progressed, we decided to add more length to the song since we were enjoying it so much. She worked on creating the mix and crafted the additional choreography as well. We then decided to practice with our actual wedding clothes on as well, and we learned limitations two weeks before the wedding date. Meg helped us find professional dance shoes and adapted the choreography to work around those limitations, completely making the song feel comfortable even in the limited movement of the clothing. Throughout these lessons, Meg was extremely flexible in scheduling and often going out of the way to work around our travel. She even helped us book a time slot when the entire studio was empty so that we could practice our dance using the whole space in private. Her and the rest of the instructors were warm, welcoming, and caring. We honestly had such a great time that we are thinking about going back to learn other dances as well.

On the downside, there were definitely some bad divits on the Fairway and some bad patches on the green that weren't that big a deal, but when putting and there is bald patch on your line, it makes it that much harder to hit your putt. Finally the markers for teeing off were definitely moved around and the range to green was definitely not right fortunately we had a range finder. Overall though great experience, and I will definitely be returning to practice my mid range game.

It's a great option to have when it's hot and sunny out. 4) There are six tennis courts nearby and this works out perfectly for our preschooler to squeeze in a tennis session with her daddy before or after the playgrounds. Cons: 1) Not a con at all - But the playground is so vast that I can barely capture the whole frame in one picture!

I was a ballet girl, so I feel like her instruction is better preparation for the high school drill team than the concert stage, but that is just me being an old fuddy-duddy. You can drop in and pay for one class, or sign up for a series. A nice variety of classes for children, teens and adults -- In addition to jazz/hip-hop there is also ballet, tap, yoga and even belly dance (try it, it's fun). The space is small, but well-lit and airy. The mirrors are spaced panels and not the wall-to-wall type, so watching yourself and the instructor can be tricky if you aren't properly situated in the room.
