Peggy Rose Academy of Dance is the studio to be at! Everyone from Peggy herself, the student dance aide, and the receptionist are all so friendly and welcoming. Not to mention there is open enrollment throughout the year for a very affordable price. There are many different events throughout the year such as Halloween parties, Christmas parties, a parade, and a few holiday performances followed by the big spring recital at the end of the year. My daughter wasn't able to perform in the holiday shows because I enrolled her right beforehand but we're looking forward to enjoying a full year of dance here in 2019! The highlight of my daughter's week is attending hip hop/ballet class, she can never wait to go back! read more

What?! No one's reviewed Peggy Rose yet? It's got the vibe of one of those been-there-forever kind of places so I thought for sure there would be tons of reviews. Oh well, I'll try my best to do it justice... I'll be honest, I was a little nervous about trying Peggy Rose -- the previously mentioned been-there-forever feel, the name... it all conjured up images of baton-twirling, baby-pageant classes. In reality, it's a fabulous, fun, very warm and caring place for kids to go. Our daughter's gone to ballet here for almost a year. She LOVES it. It's really so much more than just dance classes. At Peggy Rose, they do alot of fun activities for the kids -- special parties for Halloween, Valentine's Day, etc. There's a huge recital in the Spring, and you can arrange birthday parties and tea parties there, too. Prices are VERY reasonable and everyone who works there is beyond friendly and fabulous with kids. Peggy Rose gets two thumbs up from me... and from the little budding ballerina in our house. read more

Honestly I judge a business by the friendliness of the owner. Peggy is one of the kindest business owners I have met in Berwyn. Her commitment to Berwyn and our community is obvious as soon as you meet her. I can't wait for the recital this year. read more

My daughter has danced for Peggy Rose for years now. We all love it there. Having my daughter at the studio has made her come out of her shell. She isn't the same child that was terrified the first day of classes. I love the recitals and the beautiful costumes. Well worth the money we pay, which isn't nearly as much and we would have payed at other studios. When she told us she wanted to dance I looked at all the studios in the area and I have to say Peggy rose was the best choice I made. She loves the teachers and all the kids. And in the fall I will be sending my youngest to the studio too, and she is super excited to get to dance like her big sister. Absolutely love this studio. My daughter is in her second year of Ballet and LOVES it. Everyone is kind, caring and wonderful to us. They also have holiday parties, a huge recital in the spring, and have great Birthday party packages with very reasonable prices. Peggy Rose is also involved with the town and invites her students to dance at summer events too. My daughter loved dancing in the summer events and she can't wait to dance at more events in the future. I totally recommend Peggy Rose. read more

Predatory Money Grab! We took our 4 year old daughter to the studio for a trial class (They do not offer this so we were told we had to pay for a month). She liked the class so we paid for a month - unknown to us they signed us up for automated debit. We stopped going after only 2 classes due to scheduling conflicts and assumed we'd lose the month we payed for already. No big deal. After several weeks, we called to see about a drop-in type schedule (which they do not do) and they told us they had not only billed us an extra month, but would continue to bill us until they have a hand-written letter stating we no longer authorized payment. Here's the kicker - it has to be 30 days in advance of the next billing - so here we are mid-month and she's gonna auto-debit our account for another month. So our total bill for 2 dance classes was $156. There are much better options with much better facilities and flexibility for about the same price. STAY AWAY read more

Worst place ever classes way to big. Recital was a joke people drinking because there is a open bar,taking photos getting up and doing whatever. When they say no flash photography they don't mean it. I paid for a DVD because I followed the rules and it was horrible because no one else did. Going there was a waste of a entire year was very disappointed :-( read more

This is a very unprofessional studio. My daughter was in ballet and acrobatics, but also does tumbling and gymnastics at a gym. The ballet class has all levels in the same class, and acrobatics was very simple stretches and yoga-like moves. We had spoken to Peggy about my daughter not feeling challenged enough and being bored in classes and she promised they would do more advanced things, which they never did. My daughter hated going, saying it was just boring for her. The "recital" this winter was unprofessional, no seating for the viewers, so people were standing around in the studio, walking in and out. The ballet class did a very simple dance, and that was it. The acrobatics class did nothing. I withdrew my daughter from classes because I didn't think it was good for my daughter to drag her to classes she didn't want. I did not realize there is a 30-day advance notice so we don't get charged the next month for tuition. My daughter did not attend after the first week of December, but I was charged for January anyway. I emailed Peggy, asking for a refund, since we paid for three classes she didn't attend anyway, we didn't want to pay for four more classes she won't be going to. Peggy refused a refund, citing the 30-day cancellation policy. I asked for a copy of this policy and something I signed agreeing to it, but I have yet to receive anything. She told me to have my daughter finish out the January classes anyway and refused a refund. Peggy never checked on my daughter to see why she hadn't shown up for the December classes and doesn't seem to care about attendance, as long as she gets paid. I think if you want something for your kids to do for fun, this might be okay for you if you don't mind over-paying and mediocre recitals. If you want something to develop skills and have a professional environment, this is definitely not the place. read more

I decided as an adult to take tap dance lessons; I never got to do that as a girl. They created a class for mature ladies, and do we ever have fun, dancing our little hearts out! I have noticed that the young girls and boys are having a ball, I see them coming and going to their classes, and I have seen them develop confidence as they improve their skills. The kids go to competitions, put on shows, and the end of the year is the big recital. I don't dance in the recital, because I don't think people want to see a 60 plus year old grandma up there, but I always love to see the kids, proudly outfitted in their adorable costumes, getting ready to strut their stuff on the big stage. The parents are so proud of them, and I am always so impressed with what their wonderful staff gets them to accomplish. read more

The place is very crowded and my daughter really did not enjoy the classes. My daughter started was not allowed to compete in the recital as it was just a few days after they ordered the outfits and I had no problem with that and I let her know and she was ok with it as well. But then they kept forgetting she was not participating and getting her all excited for the recital and then I had to keep reminding them that THEY said she was not able to participate. It caused a lot of crying and heartbreak for her. Very cruel to to do a 4 year old. It is inexpensive I will say that about it, but I guess you get what you pay for! read more
