Back when Antipolo was like a total Tagaytay to people of Manila (I'm talking Jose Rizal times up to the 1950's haha), the Hinulugang Taktak was one of the most popular nearby tourist destinations. Rizal himself used to go there all the time for some R&R, according to his books and writings! Hinulugang Taktak is a waterfall basically with a stream that runs long from it. The whole place is a national park and several picnic tables, park benches, and even swimming pools are around for visitors to enjoy. There are clean pathways running the length of the stream, and a viewing deck/picture area right in front of the falls where you can have a nice souvenir shot with it as the background. It's currently being rehabilitated to modernize the area and facilities and for major clean-up, but the beauty of the falls has always remained the same. There's also lush greenery around that will just make it feel like you're in a whole out of town destination even if it's just about 45mins away from wherever you are in the city! read more
