We definitely procrastinated as we waited till 3 weeks before our wedding to set up lessons, however that did not seem to be an issue for the people at the Ballroom of Huntington. They heard about our time constraint and immediately worked with us to get us into the studio as soon as possible. They are open late which is beneficial for our schedule. We were paired with Dennis who is an angel of a human being. He is a great teacher and was able to create choreography for our first dance and make it unique. He was very accommodating and even came in on a Sunday when the studio is closed to get us an additional lesson. By the end of our 4th lesson, we were ready to perform at our wedding and we only wish Dennis was there to witness it as I know he would have been very proud of us. The studio itself is a large space, however everyone practices in the same space regardless of if you are there for a group lesson or private lesson. It didn't make much of a difference to me and it provided us with a little audience. They have a great speaker system so they can play whatever song you want for your dance. The cost was on the higher end for what I expected, but I don't know what the cost of private lessons normally runs. Ultimately, we are very happy with our decision to use Ballroom of Huntington to learn our first dance.

As for "excellence", LIYB trains its students with that caliber, and expects nothing less, without the arrogance or pretense. It's a simply downright excellent environment. In my book, coupling love and excellence together is a big win. It is something I want my daughter to be around and a feeling of being an interdependent family has been created along the way. I emailed them right after delivery about this and received no response, but on their website they updated the photo after my email. I called them and said I wanted the old barrel if you can check stock and if not available call me and set up a return. They falsely advertised the incorrect product, and blamed me for this. They deducted $9 for a cleaning fee of a barrel that was never used, and again the incorrect item. The people working the phones are morons and scammers. I utilized this place for years and referring my students to purchase equipment and instruments since 2015. And buying reeds while on broadway tours. That all ends NOW Take your business elsewhere. At it's peak, there were 150+ fellow viewers. I loved every moment... the wonderful instructor was extremely calming, motivating, down to earth and genuinely positive. I wish I could make him the voice of my alarm clock each morning. Thank you again for hosting this. I've done a few guided meditation sessions before and this one was amongst the most well run. In fact, I almost forgot that this was being done over Zoom... it felt like the class was literally happening within my living room. At times like these, it was such an honor to be surrounded (even if virtually) by hundreds of like-minded and positive individuals. That group dance sess at the end was the icing on the cake!

They are open every day- so there is no excuse to not be able to get some stress relief! Their hours are Monday- Saturday 10 am-10 pm and Sunday 10 am- 3 pm! I learned how to count my blessings today!
