Incredibly bizarre situation a few weeks back. I have been going to this establishment for about four years and have always had such an incredible experience. A few Wednesdays ago when I went to refill my Sleep Angels gummies, the woman behind the counter told me that they were out. This happens often, so it wasn't the biggest deal. She did, however, have one jar behind the counter on hold for another customer which she grabbed. She said she thought the sour gummies were the exact same thing as the Sleep Angels, just a different flavor. I'm not very well versed in all of the aspects of these products, so I trusted and believed the person selling them. She compared the jars and said they had the same amount of THC and recommend them as the same thing as the Sleep Angels, so I bought them. As I was leaving, she said that if there were any issues, to come back and tell her daughter, she was the owner. I said if they were the same there shouldn't be any issues. That night my partner and I took a half of one and spent the rest of the night awake and on edge. These were definitely NOT the same thing. The next morning I immediately sent an email to the owner explaining the situation. No response. Unfortunately, my week was a bit hectic and I wasn't able to make it back in to talk to the woman who sold them to me, so I sent a follow up email. No response. I asked a friend if I was overreacting about trying to get in touch with someone and she said she thought it was a bit bizarre that a store in a higher-end neighborhood, selling higher-end products wouldn't have higher-end customer service and even at least acknowledge the email. My partner did have some free time and went in to see if he could fix the misunderstanding. There was confusion as he had said that the woman had told me to come back for a refund if the product didn't work, which those words weren't exactly used. This led to him leaving with no resolution. I think I'm a bit upset because I was 1,000% misled and would NEVER have purchased something unless I was told by someone who knew about the products that it was the same thing. Then, to never even have the situation acknowledged and my emails not responded to felt very unprofessional. I can't see myself going back to a place who doesn't even at least issue an apology for misleading loyal customers. read more

I walked into Hippie and French excited to finally visit the store and learn more about the products. I had heard they offered plenty of enthusiastic guidance for patrons like me who have never used CBD products before. I also am a huge advocate of supporting small businesses - especially local, so I was extra inclined to explore a local CBD source. The ambiance and curated collection of products were lovely, but completely overwhelming being that I did not know where to even begin. Despite the owner working at the time, it ultimately felt like pulling teeth to converse with her about CBD. She showed zero interest in talking, educating me and ultimately selling me her product. After trying to engage in conversation by asking several questions, I gave up. I am still shocked that an owner of a newer boutique would portray such an uninviting vibe and disinterested demeanor. I was actually hoping that it was a manager or employee working that day because there was no logical explanation of how someone could act so blasé about their "passion" and livelihood. I was excited to visit and prepared to spend money on CBD...which I did not. What I did purchase was a perfume rollerball and a Feminist t-shirt (the irony). Unfortunately, the fragrance oil rollerball did not work well with my skin and the scent was not pleasant after a few hours of wear. The next day I inquired about exchanging it for a different scent and was refused. The conversation with the owner went something like, "I paid for it...I cannot resell it now...this is how I make a living...you used it so no returns". Although the tester was almost gone, I was even told she could not use my exchanged rollerball (used one time) as a tester. I was even denied store credit. I was actually speechless at the attitude I was given. The sad thing is, if the customer service was great and the owner was kind and accommodating, I would've most likely spent ten times over the price of that rollerball in continued patronage. The way I was treated was absolutely appalling on so many levels. I am an avid shopper and have never had such a negative experience at a small business - especially one that boasts women for women and feminism. There's nothing worse than a woman using feminism as a marketing tool in-store and on social media. The boutique is beautiful, but sadly, that is the only positive thing I can say. What a cute little place right in the middle of Lawrenceville! My friend recently told me about this place and as someone who has just started experimenting with CBD, I was excited to pay it a visit. The atmosphere is great and it gives off very calming as well as welcoming vibes. It's also cutely decorated which is also a nice touch. As for products, there is a wide array of products as other reviewers have said. They have everything from actual CBD flower to edibles and beverages. Basically, they have anything you could want. Also, it's all very affordable which I know from experience with buying CBD, it can be expensive sometimes! I really appreciated that. I was able to buy an eighth of flower for $30 which is a great price, in my opinion. The workers are also amazing. They were so knowledgeable of the products that they were selling. They really want to make sure that you get a product that is right for you. I personally suffer from insomnia so I'm excited to try out some of the flower that I purchased! Lindsay has a thorough compliment of high-quality CBD products and was very helpful in finding the right product for my situation, down to giving me three different options. Gotta say these folks sell a good CBD oil that I find very smooth and effective, especially because of its relatively high dosage (they've even added a higher dose increment recently.)
