I'm not able to recommend this business. The pictures are from trying to get the dump bin out of my yard and they were unwilling to make any concessions on pricing to resolve the ruts created in my driveway, other than saying a rake will cover it up. They referred me back to my GC to repair the damage. I don't know in this day and time a business unwilling to work with a client to resolve an issue, or at least try. We moved and needed some serious trash removal....serious. Two pods filled with moving trash and four additional trips over a month for the remainder including household items left behind by the former owner. The neighborhood trash service discontinued bulk trash pickup due to covid. Not sure why, but ok. Hippo Haulers responds immediately and schedules you within days if needed. Fantastic service. We excavated our backyard to extender our patio (about 8ftx15ft area) and started digging before we had a plan for the dirt removal. We piled it up against the side of the house and started getting quotes. Before service: - Fair pricing (we compared 8 quotes) - Very responsive (we contacted them on a Friday night) - Quick scheduling (they had us penciled in for the next day/ Saturday right away) During/after service: - Friendly and polite - Quick service - Efficient and clean John hauled the dirt out, and didn't miss a single piece! He brought his own equipment, and even swept the sidewalk of any extra dirt outside the front of our home. He closed the gate on his way out to ensure our dog didn't get out even. I recently moved into my new home and had tons of boxes and random junk to get rid of. I could have over time thrown it out with the garbage ...but what do I do with the 12ft roll of carpet left by the previous owner? With that said, I thought I'd ask around to quotes about getting rid of all of it. Ervey got back to be within minutes of my request, gave me a quote that was a FRACTION of his competitors and said he could be there the same night! I agreed and he gave me an ETA of 5:30. These guys were a life saver! I had two contractors tell me they were going to haul trash off for me, and neither did so. My fault...I should have withheld final payment until it was done. Live and learn...won't happen a THIRD time. One was a fence contractor from a while back and the other was a contractor that just finished redoing my house and left all the trash in the garage and back yard. SO frustrating!! I was in a bind because I had an appointment for a professional photographer to shoot the house so we can get it listed, I had a heap of trash, and I was not able to load and haul it anywhere. I called Hippo Haulers on Saturday and spoke with Ervey and he was incredibly friendly and willing to help. He said they could come get everything the next day. Since the house is vacant, I gave him the code to get in and he shot me a message with the amount and let me pay him electronically. Requested removal of an old waterbed mattress that was heavy and awkward to carry at around 10AM on a Saturday. I got a phone call with a quote in about 10 minutes and the pricing was far cheaper than I expected. They arrived around 20 minutes ahead of their anticipated time, same day, and finished the job in about 5 minutes and were off.
