I figured I'd give them a go and Chris managed to fit me in for a full service and MOT at short notice (and on a weekend too... amazing!) so 8am on the Saturday morning I set off... Carwurx is hidden away off kirkstall road behind Kwik Fit so you wouldn't really notice it if you weren't looking but once you're on Washington street it is easy to find as you just follow the road round. Chris quoted me a good £40-60 less than the other garages so (given my past experiences at the likes of Kwik Fit) I was expecting to turn up and find a load of extra charges on top of that or a long list of work that had to be done... But no! I was pleasantly surprised to be mistaken. I was only charged the amount quoted, all work done well and although I need my brake pads replacing at some point there was absolutely no pressure to have it done there and then and I got a quote for the work if I chose to have it done by Carwurx... which I probably will! Great service, great people, great price!... I think I've found my new garage :-)

Hes a one man mechanic who is also a big fan of social media (live by the sword die by the sword) & radio star (The Car Guru on Oldham's 96.2 The Revolution). Paul made me feel very much at easy today when dropping my car off. A Very friendly bloke who explains stuff in english & doesn't confuse you with mechanical jargon. He is also "Female Friendly" approved. As a driver i'm now glad i have found somewhere where i feel i won't be ripped off.

When I went in to get a front light fixed they noticed a back one was out also and replaced that; when I had to get a new battery it cost less than the AA guy quoted me for my car to be fixed at an AA suggested garage. I then decided to take my Volvo V70 for a full service. During the service they contacted me to inform me about a bush on the suspension that was just starting to wear, but they said it does not need replacing yet. I already knew about the wear on the bush as it was pointed out to me at the cars MOT at another garage, this filled me with confidence as they have obviously given the car a good check over. They also re-gassed my air conditioning that I have had done twice previously at Quick Fit, but never noticed any real improvement when Quick Fit carried out the job. Since Ja's Auto Services have re-gassed my air con it works like new and the car is cool in minutes. Champion Auto Care were the only garage that were open all day AND said they would be able to source and fit the part that day. The manager also recommended a chap with a recovery van who could take us across town to his garage for a very competitive fee (we couldn't even bump start the car as the battery had nothing at all). The service was brilliant, very friendly and helpful, and the price was incredibly competitive (far cheaper than we feared we'd need to pay). Thanks for saving us Champion!!

I would have given 0 rating if that was possible…read more They book you an appointment for repair and you turn up and they make you wait for half an hour and after asking them repeatedly "When are you going to look at my car", they tell you "we can't look at your car today you will have to come in tomorrow". When asked what is the point of appointment then ? the manager said "I don't have time for this" and walked away. Don't bother with these people! Look elsewhere.
