Of course, a few times we've just walked the length to appreciate Mother Nature's work. Pictures can't replace seeing "this" in person. Sometimes I go out of my way near sunset to drive down this street because the filtered sun through the trees makes the area look absolutely beautiful. The oak trees create a natural arch that gives you a feeling that you are driving through a tunnel and it is beautiful no matter where you enter. To me, this is one of the highlights of St. Augustine and it's just a street! The best part is...it's natural and it's free. It is one of the most photographed streets in the USA...and it's considered to be one of the most beautiful streets in the USA! WHOA! Both are completely understandable. If you are visiting St. Augustine and have been on the Trolley, then I'm sure you are aware of this street since they take you down it and tell you about it. Unfortunately, I see tourists caught up in visiting the Fountain of Youth and other things in that area and disregard the street. This is sad to me and they don't even know what they are missing. If you are planning a trip to this area...put this street on your list of things to see. If you are local (or fairly local) and haven't been down this street...now you have something else to do!

We got their cheese spaetzle for our side Had to get a Togo box. Lots of food. We have left overs. Yummy it's a 5. Next time we will bring our own silverware (the plastic knife & fork works but not well). If you are eating at the Marina they give you a plate (rather than eating from the Togo container). Only wish - would have loved some German red cabbage with the meal. Yep and a cold beer or two.

Coming from all over Florida, they were throwing down everything imaginable, from gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches to gourmet alligator to gourmet jambalaya...and don't even get me started on the desserts. Yes...it was nothing less than a Yelpers wet dream, and I'm so ecstatic to have been a part of it! Entree: I was practically jumping for joy when I found a food truck serving up fresh arepas (Apps Food Truck), since I'm a huge fan of the ones served at Tres Leches in Riverside. I went with the "Arepas Con Choclo," which consisted of melted white queso between two corn cakes and topped with pieces of thick cut bacon. It proved a very wise choice because it was absolutely divine. Made fresh to order, the saltiness and crunch from the bacon paired wonderfully with the hint of sweet from the corn cakes, with the bubbly cheese as the kicker. These arepas were also considerably larger than the ones at Tres Leches and cheaper at $5 a plate. Dessert: The day was hot and humid, so I was in the market for some light frosty refreshment....not that I wasn't tempted by the vast selection of other offerings, such as "apple pie pops" and "funnel cake sundaes." The Sweet City Gelato truck had a sign in their window that they were the "Delectable Dessert" winner from their last competition in May. I ordered a cup with 2 flavors, tiramisu and pistachio. With just the FIRST taste of this heavenly concoction I knew they'd be a shoo-in for the "dessert" category finals...if not the clear-cut winner overall. Now, I've had more than my fair share of gelato encounters, but NOTHING as creamy 'n' dreamy as Sweet City. Fresh, flavorful, not the least bit artificial tasting...I honestly couldn't have asked for better. Wrap Up: I thoroughly enjoyed this years event, especially since I was hanging out with some cool people at the Yelp station! They also offer a night cruise, which might be a better option during the warmer months when the daytime heat can be intense. They have a bar onboard that serves mixed drinks, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages, which is a nice touch for adults. Overall, it was an enjoyable enough experience, but not particularly memorable. I'd rate it as good, but not something I'd go out of my way to do again.

We spent a lovely walk around the waterfront, looking at the famous beloved Lions at the bridge and all the way to Flagler College. The Lightner Museum was the highlight across the street, and we walked down St. George Street for old times sake. Everyone wore masks and kept an appropriate social distance. Not crowded since it was after the holidays.

It was quite an expensive 'private tour' of the night of lights that was explained to me as tho the grinch (driving one trolly) and Santa (driving another trolly) would interact with one another (more than minimally) and make the tour exclusive to all 15 of us. They would hop off one trolly and interact with the passengers of the other trolly, etc. In reality, it was NOT a collective tour. The grinch separated from the other trolly and it was essentially two separate tours. Approximately 3-4 times they interacted with one another (acting as tho one would hit the other's trolly, yelling insults at Santa, responding to the grinch, and stopping at the 'duck bar' for the ambush together.) The address to initially meet at is kind of hard to find, even with GPS, as well! There is NO indication of 'the tasting tours' business name on the store front at the address. It is a Cuban bakery.' YES, we all had a good time.... But I don't want the rest of you that book a 'private' tour to be mislead or pay for something you won't receive. *** I also find it distasteful that the company charges an unprecedented amount of money for the trolly rides and then has the audacity to send an email asking for further tip for the trolly drivers.*** Whether a patron tips or not is up to them, not a business owner requesting it!

The entire tour pace was perfect, we didn't stay too long or too short at any of our spots. We visited a local wine shop, had some barbecue, had some great drinks and some excellent desserts and a few other surprises. We did all of this while learning some very interesting history about Saint Augustine. At the very end of the Torr Alex, the owner of the Torr company was going to a local art gallery and invited us to join him which we did. Overall, a great experience and I highly recommend.
