Of course, a few times we've just walked the length to appreciate Mother Nature's work. Pictures can't replace seeing "this" in person. Sometimes I go out of my way near sunset to drive down this street because the filtered sun through the trees makes the area look absolutely beautiful. The oak trees create a natural arch that gives you a feeling that you are driving through a tunnel and it is beautiful no matter where you enter. To me, this is one of the highlights of St. Augustine and it's just a street! The best part is...it's natural and it's free. It is one of the most photographed streets in the USA...and it's considered to be one of the most beautiful streets in the USA! WHOA! Both are completely understandable. If you are visiting St. Augustine and have been on the Trolley, then I'm sure you are aware of this street since they take you down it and tell you about it. Unfortunately, I see tourists caught up in visiting the Fountain of Youth and other things in that area and disregard the street. This is sad to me and they don't even know what they are missing. If you are planning a trip to this area...put this street on your list of things to see. If you are local (or fairly local) and haven't been down this street...now you have something else to do!

We got their cheese spaetzle for our side Had to get a Togo box. Lots of food. We have left overs. Yummy it's a 5. Next time we will bring our own silverware (the plastic knife & fork works but not well). If you are eating at the Marina they give you a plate (rather than eating from the Togo container). Only wish - would have loved some German red cabbage with the meal. Yep and a cold beer or two.

Coming from all over Florida, they were throwing down everything imaginable, from gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches to gourmet alligator to gourmet jambalaya...and don't even get me started on the desserts. Yes...it was nothing less than a Yelpers wet dream, and I'm so ecstatic to have been a part of it! Entree: I was practically jumping for joy when I found a food truck serving up fresh arepas (Apps Food Truck), since I'm a huge fan of the ones served at Tres Leches in Riverside. I went with the "Arepas Con Choclo," which consisted of melted white queso between two corn cakes and topped with pieces of thick cut bacon. It proved a very wise choice because it was absolutely divine. Made fresh to order, the saltiness and crunch from the bacon paired wonderfully with the hint of sweet from the corn cakes, with the bubbly cheese as the kicker. These arepas were also considerably larger than the ones at Tres Leches and cheaper at $5 a plate. Dessert: The day was hot and humid, so I was in the market for some light frosty refreshment....not that I wasn't tempted by the vast selection of other offerings, such as "apple pie pops" and "funnel cake sundaes." The Sweet City Gelato truck had a sign in their window that they were the "Delectable Dessert" winner from their last competition in May. I ordered a cup with 2 flavors, tiramisu and pistachio. With just the FIRST taste of this heavenly concoction I knew they'd be a shoo-in for the "dessert" category finals...if not the clear-cut winner overall. Now, I've had more than my fair share of gelato encounters, but NOTHING as creamy 'n' dreamy as Sweet City. Fresh, flavorful, not the least bit artificial tasting...I honestly couldn't have asked for better. Wrap Up: I thoroughly enjoyed this years event, especially since I was hanging out with some cool people at the Yelp station! We don't have kids and would rather the adult only aspect so this was right up our alley. We ventured to their storefront to check in, they have all kinds of pirate merch for sale. Some silly props and costumes as well as books, maps and other more collectible items. The rum runner cruise was comprised of "pirates" making jokes at each other, singing songs and doing some light heckling towards the patrons of the ship. Seating is open unless a party reserves a section. We ended up sitting in one of the top areas which was nice because we were able to look down and see everything and everyone. There IS a bathroom on the boat, just FYI and a full bar. We did not partake in any libations (i'm pregnant) but it would have been fun to have some drinks while aboard. There were several birthday parties on board as well as a couple anniversaries. Lots of people dressed up which I didn't even think to do but now we know for next time. The vibe was definitely rowdy which was fun to watch. There is an add on that two people elected on our cruise which is the mutiny.You can pay $125 for the person of your choice to be accused of crimes and spotlighted during the trip. They also got some goodies to take home like a bandana, bottle of wine, etc. In my opinion it wasn't worth $125 but it wasn't me spending the money. The boat sailed under the bridge, did a loop then headed back to the dock which was just under 1.5hrs. We had a good time, think we were expecting a little bit more of a "show" but nonetheless it was still entertaining.

They have many different types of tours - kid friendly, sunset cruise, or a rum summer cruise... and YES, there is full bar on board so I hope you're thirsty! We spent a lovely walk around the waterfront, looking at the famous beloved Lions at the bridge and all the way to Flagler College. The Lightner Museum was the highlight across the street, and we walked down St. George Street for old times sake. Everyone wore masks and kept an appropriate social distance. Not crowded since it was after the holidays.

They would hop off one trolly and interact with the passengers of the other trolly, etc. In reality, it was NOT a collective tour. The grinch separated from the other trolly and it was essentially two separate tours. Approximately 3-4 times they interacted with one another (acting as tho one would hit the other's trolly, yelling insults at Santa, responding to the grinch, and stopping at the 'duck bar' for the ambush together.) The address to initially meet at is kind of hard to find, even with GPS, as well! There is NO indication of 'the tasting tours' business name on the store front at the address. It is a Cuban bakery.' YES, we all had a good time.... But I don't want the rest of you that book a 'private' tour to be mislead or pay for something you won't receive. *** I also find it distasteful that the company charges an unprecedented amount of money for the trolly rides and then has the audacity to send an email asking for further tip for the trolly drivers.*** Whether a patron tips or not is up to them, not a business owner requesting it!

We met him and our four other fellow tourists in the historic art district. From there we headed onto the main Plaza area on King Street. We then walked north on the street behind the Hilton Hotel, learning the history of the hotel as well as the hotel that occupied the same location years ago. Our next stop was the fort and it's history. After that we walked down the historic George Street, learning about several buildings on that street. We finished our tour in the area of Flagler College and the Lightner Museum and Casa Monica Hotel. The tour was very informative and very interesting. I highly recommend it.
