The espresso was okay, not bad. In general, this is as close to a Starbucks as you can imagine in the town of Chapala. I don't understand the practice of waiting till the customer is served to get payment because I was ready to pay after I ordered the coffee....just seems a better, quicker flow. But hey, nobody is interested in more efficient transaction flow here. The coffee was acceptable and offered with a smile. I got it in a "portable" cup with a well-fit lid and was able to have it in the car. Wowweeee.

While we found the expected outstanding sourdough, we were overwhelmed with the variety of sandwiches (including several panini), beverages, cheeses, and pastries available. We had the roast beef, pesto, and cheddar sandwich, and the aubergine and sauerkraut panino, and both were truly outstanding. We also came away with several bags of delicious cookies, and a loaf of Upland sourdough. Based on my husband's feedback, the espresso mocha was excellent, and I was thrilled to find great quality, locally brewed, ginger beer. All in all, between the food and the exceptional service, it was a wonderful lunch, and one that ensured we would become regulars. We can't wait to return to try something else!
