And for the quality of food you get, I think this place is reasonably priced. The restaurant is not far from Old Street station and has a pub feel, but slightly more refined. The staff was really friendly, attentive and knowledgeable on the menu. I highly recommend a reservation though as even when we came here on a Monday night, it was busy. I don't think you can go wrong with almost anything on the menu. Everything we had was delicious, and you can tell the chef's really know how and understand how to cook and flavor meat to perfection. The most surprising item though, is the White Chocolate Cheesecake. It is served out of a dish, tiramisu style, and is one of the best desserts I have had in a while. It was not too rich but so flavorful. So when you come here, make sure to save room for dessert!

This place was amazing probably the most incredible Sunday lunch I've ever seen. Meat piled high with Yorkshire pudding and vegetables. It's eye popping and stunning what arrives at your table. The host was friendly and hospitable and made small talk as she led us to our table upstairs. They had a great, spacious bar downstairs as well that was appealing. The restaurant is beautifully decorated. It has a cozy and modern feel to it with the unique metal chain window 'curtains', pipe style light chandeliers, church pew style or padded booths as well as table and bar seating. They have a huge deer made out of pennies as decor above the entrance as well as a bull decopaged with paper bills upstairs. The upstairs overlooks the lower floor in a balcony style. I appreciated the view to outside with the 20 foot windows below. Perfect for my first people watching experience in London. We were greeted from our server right away and she made wine and cocktail recommendations to start. We had a burger from the main course as well as scallops and the salmon three ways from the starters. The burger was generous, very juicy and flavorful. Would recommend and try this again. The scallops were a decent size and came four to an order. The salmon trio was great. One was like a butter salmon you could put on the bread, the second a small piece of raw salmon and the third more like a salmon spread. Overall, great atmosphere, service and food. I would recommend them!

Its next to the Sky Garden so we were able to hang out there, grab some drinks, and enjoy the beautiful skyline views until our reservation at Blacklock - they let us in pretty early since we were really tired and wanted to get back to the hotel sooner We eventually get seated, place is packed and lively. We got the All in sunday roast consisting of pork, beef, lamb, grilled carrots, potatoes, greens, and Yorkshire pudding. Its served with refillable gravy and an assortment of sauces. The gravy was one of the best ive had! Pork and lamb were pretty fatty which i prefer. Potatoes were nice but skin was pretty chewy, hard to cut through as they were pretty big pieces. Thought there was way too much pudding and not enough meat as we got dinner for 4 - its 28 pounds pp for one plate full, which felt pretty pricey for what we got Overall the roast was good and was a new experience. The cheesecake was interesting as well - the crust wasnt really a crust, moreso a separate biscuit layer with the cheese filling spread on top. I typically am not the biggest fan of cheesecake but this is more of a preferable variation for me Originally thought we were getting bad service but soon realized as an american that this is the culture here lol - yes the place was really busy but we learned that in London (and Europe in general) your meal is relaxed and theyre a lot more hands off. You need to cue staff for everything so it felt a bit off putting to constantly ask for water and gravy refills, dessert order, and the check in that busy environment. But its part of the etiquette I suppose, so expect to need to do that and to potentially account for a bit of extra time spent

Happy to get a reservation here! We arrived a little early, and our table was ready.. so we got to sit down earlier. Sandra was our server, she was awesome! She checked on us frequently and answered any questions we had... I curious about the applesauce ingredients, she came back immediately with the list : ) She also asked if we had any food intolerance or allergies, I stated lactose. She made sure the accommodation was made for a lactose free order. We both ordered the All In - 28 sterling per person - veggies, duck fat potatoes, slice of beef, pork, lamb, Yorkshire pudding, endless gravy , and sauces. Mine minus the pudding and dairy free gravy. Food came out pretty fast. Meat was tasty especially the beef. Lamb and pork was a little fatty. I loved and piled the horseradish on the beef. I found the potatoes to be a little chewy on the outside , not the crisp I had expected. Gravy was nice and pourable over everything lol My mock a rita was lovely, just very skimp amount. My small glass contained a lot of ice, drink maybe was halfway the glass. Service was excellent! Food was ok.

However, it was a whopping 93 GBP for 600g, which is meant to share between 2 people, but still not that much (refer to my pic). This is simply just too high of a price for this. Bone marrow and onions (12 GBP) - This was surprisingly good. Although the marrow itself didn't have much of a flavor, it was a nice buttery consistency to spread on the bread. The onions were cooked very well. Sticky Toffee Pudding (9.50 GBP) - This was more of a bread like dessert than a pudding, but was tasty and not overly sweet despite the toffee (which is good). The staff are very friendly, helpful, and attentive. The service speed is pretty quick. The interior is decorated in a nice yet not too pretentious steakhouse style. There were still plenty of open tables available on a Sunday night. Overall, while the steak and food are very good, the steak is simply too overpriced to justify me getting it again. We were seated with no reservation, but we did come closer to closing time. Staff warned us that we did need to order and get any drinks we wanted sooner rather than later, but that was OK. I got the flat iron steak because of course I had to try the namesake of the place. I got it with the side of roasted aubergine, tomato, basil, and mozzarella. I did not enjoy the side because of the very mushy texture, so that was a bit of a bummer. The steak itself was pretty delish. As a cocktail I had their passion fruit Collins which was very refreshing. I found that overall in London the cocktails were all on point pretty much everywhere we went. We had noticed that any person leaving the restaurant always had ice cream, and when we were finished with the meal we did get the little silver cleavers and our free sweet treat. I appreciated the straightforward menu and the ambience, which is casual but also stylish and not pretentious at all, just relaxed and cozy with softer lighting and a good flow.

I've been looking forward to visiting Duck & Waffle for quite some time. The views are incredible,…read morethe space itself is striking, and on paper it promises that perfect London mix of skyline, late-night energy, and elevated comfort food. Unfortunately, our experience was soured before it even had a chance to begin. My girlfriend and I walked in excited, completely amicable, simply hoping to head upstairs for a bite and drinks. We were greeted by the doorman with an immediate, dismissive "Are you good?" -- not in a welcoming or helpful tone, but in a way that felt skeptical and unnecessarily confrontational. There was no warmth, no "welcome in," no attempt at hospitality. It immediately set an uncomfortable tone. He then proceeded to call upstairs as though he were doing us some sort of favor just by allowing us to go up. The entire interaction felt transactional and judgmental rather than gracious. First impressions matter, especially at a place that positions itself as a premium dining destination. Hospitality begins at the door, not at the table. When we finally made it upstairs, the room was filled with visibly drunk, rowdy groups -- which only made the earlier attitude feel even more misplaced. If that environment is acceptable (and profitable), then two polite guests looking for drinks and food shouldn't be met with suspicion at the entrance. By that point, the damage was done. The initial interaction had already rubbed us the wrong way, and the energy upstairs didn't help. We ultimately decided to leave before even sitting at our table. That's how strongly the first impression impacted us. It's difficult to justify staying somewhere when you don't feel genuinely welcomed from the outset. Duck & Waffle has the potential to be memorable for all the right reasons. But someone representing the brand at the very front needs to understand that hospitality isn't optional -- it's foundational. A simple, respectful welcome would have changed everything. I hope management takes this seriously, because no guest should feel judged or dismissed before they even step inside.

We had zero expectations, but ended up having what might be our favorite meal of the whole trip. The staff? Absolute gems -- especially patient with us Texans who came armed with 400 questions (bless them). The restaurant's tucked downstairs, and here's a tip: book bar seating. Not at the bar, but in the room with the bar. It's cozier, prettier, and avoids the more standard dining space. The vibe? Understated elegance. Think cozy meets classy without any of the snobbery. Now, let's talk food. The Yorkshire pudding was no slouch, but the vegetarian Wellington--oh man. I was fully prepared to mourn the absence of beef, but it turns out blasphemy tastes incredible. Rich, flavorful, and completely unexpected. My jaw said "wow" before my brain could form a sentence. Would we go back? In a heartbeat.
