A friend & I popped in here for a quick bite of breakfast after an early morning of exercise at Bass & Flinders Point. There was plenty to choose from on the menu, making the decision a little difficult. However we'd both been drawn to the specials board we spotted on the way in & opted to try the halloumi & chorizo stack on sourdough with Avo, rocket. It was one slice of sourdough packed & stacked with plenty of flavour & good value for $9.50. It satisfied my hunger & I'd happily have it again. The coffee's & other treats in the cabinet looked great & worth popping in to try or meet friends for a coffee. they had banana scones on the counter for tasting & I had a sample & would happily eat a whole one :-) There is also a small grocery section of organic products to purchase. An Aladdin's Cave of health food, this place has charm & enchantment packed to the gills. Taking a seat overlooking Gunnamatta Park, we both order the above mentioned 'Haloumi/Chorizo Stack', a special served on sourdough with avocado, roast capsicum, rocket & aioli. With a great range of smoothies & juices, as well as the temptation of coffee, I probably should have made more of an attempt to explore the menu, instead settling on water. Suffice it to say, the Haloumi/Chorizo Stack was extremely tasty. While a little heavy handed on the aioli, it was still thoroughly enjoyable. In hindsight, I probably should have chosen something a little more conducive to my morning run, but them's small hairs to split when talking about chorizo right? RIGHT?! A great little find here at Mint, undoubtedly I'll return in an effort to explore more of the menu.

My deer-in-headlights look must've been obvious because the shop keeper came out from behind the counter and asked if he cold help. I rattled off my list of ingredients while he scoured the store and came back with everything I needed - some with multiple options! I also walked out with a solid collection of tea, enough rice to feed a small nation and some vegan ice cream. Since then, I've been back a number of times and always have a brilliant experience.

Their laksa is tasty and quite substantial. I usually hover between the Penang Prawn Har Mee or the Dry Curry Mee. The Har Mee is tasty and spicy hot and quite satisfying. Their dry curry mee is ok. The chicken curry is quite delicious and the chicken drumsticks soft and falling off the bone. I usually order a roti to mop up the curry. The lack of fried noodles as a menu option is the only disappointment about this place but overall a nice relaxed alternative to their more illustrious competitor (Temasek) nearby. Service is quick and friendly although prices are a tad high but serving portions are quite substantial.

It was great, the roti chanai was made fresh and was hot and and just flaky enough for you to pull apart and dip into the tasty chicken curry sauce, one thing to watch out for though is the little chicken bones that almost made me chip a tooth. The lunch options here looked tempting and makes me want to go back and give them a try too.
