Very nice owner, with much knowledge and experience in tricky electronic devices. Nice store that is fun to visit.

They have many of the standard toys, but also keep up with the trends so that you can find that particular one your child may be asking for. They also have a lot of special toys that you may not have even heard of, and staff members are always happy to help you find the perfect toy. The store is family-run, and customer service is beyond excellent. Although there has been a movement to shop online these days, what people don't realize is that you will lack is the personal advice and confidence knowing you picked the RIGHT toy for your child with their help. I am a big fan of supporting (excellent) local businesses - you won't be disappointed with Jouets Choo Choo!

The first time I visited the store, I was looking for a birthday gift for my husband's coworker's kids (whom I had never met). The gentleman I spoke with was extremely knowledgeable and spent a very long time showing me different types of games and toys for children in that particular age group. He seemed to speak from experience, as he had two children of his own, and gave a firsthand account of what he liked about each game. In the end, I was drawn to a Camelot brainteaser game where you had to position and build blocks that matched a picture on the card. I later returned and purchased my son's Playmobil set here for Christmas; again, the woman serving me was helpful and friendly. I am impressed by their service, and will return in the future when I am in the market for more unique logic games for my children.

It's downtown so parking will be an issue but by metro this is a perfect toy store destination. I went here a few days before Christmas and they still had everything in stock.

The owners really have an issue if you enter and do not buy anything. I have bought 2-3 times books from this store before and I have entered quite a few times without buying, triggering frown on the owner`s face. The last time I was there my son wanted to see a book. We opened the first page and just read the title and the first sentence aloud to get a sense and see if it sounds interesting. Less than 10 seconds later the owner came and started screaming at me in very broken French that this is not a library and they have come here from China to make business. The book was in mint condition and while I tried to explain that I am just looking at it and considering buying a book, and that all the book stores normally are fine with customers looking at books before buying them, I was interrupted again and showered with another blurt of anger from both the owner and her husband so I left quite disappointed at the lack of basic customer service skills. Don`t touch any book otherwise you will be treated to a nice selection of broken French explaining you why you cannot enter their store unless you buy something. I guess in some parts of the world that is called business....
