This store used to be, years ago, "Ben Franklin" which was a fabric and craft store franchise, which no longer exists other than as a brand name which can be used for a fee. The owner, Dawn (a charming and hospitable lady who told me exactly where to find everything I asked about) explained that they didn't care to do so, and the store has been Fourman's Variety for quite some time. And variety is what you will find in this very large and thoughtfully arranged shop. Everything from spices and kitchenware, puzzles and games for all ages, school supplies and stationery, to greeting cards, gift wrap, housewares, pool supplies, pet needs, seasonal decor, giftable items, and a full aisle of candy with many nostalgic classics. PLUS a whole room of fabrics and sewing accessories, and a wall or two of crafting supplies. And....tons of used books for sale! Prices were quite reasonable throughout. Store is open six days a week, parking on the street. I am thrilled to have found this great variety store. Honestly, do you really want to spend your money at Dollar General or Walmart? No, of course not! You want to come to Fourman's. Come to Fourman's!

She was very accommodating and gave us thoughtful advice regarding length and suggested various styles and colors that worked within our theme. In my opinion, buying suits in-store is the best, especially with such great staff! Most surprisingly, this Macy's in particular had a larger variety to select from than Men's Warehouse.

This Dollar Tree was very spacious, one of the bigger ones I've ever been to. They did have generous selections in crafts supplies, glasswares, storage baskets, and more. However, for garden supplies, not too much desirable, and only had a small selections out front . I received very friendly services from the cashier. The store was fairly clean, but many shelves are empty or almost empty. I can only imagine when this stop is fully stocked, it must be a satisfying place to walk down the aisles. I was out of the country on vacation and tried to return an item just a few days after the 30-day window, but they wouldn't even offer store credit. While I love their clothes, I'll likely shop elsewhere for items I'm unsure about purchasing, as many retailers offer store credit for returns beyond 30 days. Just something to keep in mind before you buy.

I went to grab one of the things I needed and found it was locked??? We are in Centerville so why is a simple screwdriver set locked? Which was extremely aggravating as I was short on time with a restless toddler. But I needed the tool so I waited in the cashier line since there was no one else around to ask for help. When I got to the front I asked him to unlock the item. He said that he would help me, but is going to ring the lady out who was behind me first....strike 1 as I had been already waiting for a while and now he wants to help others who were behind me. He didn't even ask me if that would be alright with me. He rings the lady out, which was a water jug exchange. She asks him to take the new jug to the car. He tells me to wait "four seconds"as he takes the water to her car. Strike 2 Why couldn't that lady wait until he helped me? Clearly as a black woman in a predominantly white neighborhood it was very evident my time was not as important or important at all as this white woman's. I wait then a considerable amount of time until FINALLY other employees show up out the blue. I ask one of them if they can help me and he apprehensively with raised eyebrows goes "Okkkkayy, what do you need". Strike 3 The micro racial aggression is palpable at this point. Like no mention of an apology of the very clear fact there is no one around, I need help, and no ask if I had been waiting a while. Which I have but the cashier thought helping other people was more of a priority than helping me. On top of that the second item I needed was simply a power screwdriver which they don't have in stock. What kind of hardware store doesn't have that... Overall a terrible experience. Not going back. And finding more avenues to post this review and give 1 star for one of the worst customer service experiences I have had in my life.
