I see all the negative reviews on this store. It is a Hobby Lobby People! Sure, the employees arent the best, but there are a few that will go that extra mile. I've been going here for years and save a ton. If my career choice was working here, I might be a bit grumpy too. This is one of my weekly stops! I love walking into the bright and well decorated store. There is always something new to find. I usually start at the left and walk the entire store. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. The store is well stocked with everything you can imagine. I usually go in for one thing and leave with a cart full. The sales are fantastic. The pricing is great and the product are great quality. My home aways looks amazing thanks to Home Depot. See you again next week!! read more

I always like coming to this place, so much to see and to buy. I came here looking for materials I need for a project. This place seemed crowded which is a good sign of good business. I find things here all the time, it's a little bit pricier even after the big sign that says "sale," "40% off," etc. However, if you will stick with your list and use your coupon that is available online you can really get a good deal. I bought a glue gun that was priced $7.99 after my coupon it's $5.08 including tax. I like that this place offers almost everything for hobbyist or people with a lot of projects. I just don't like that they push seasons way too early, I noticed that they have fall stuff out already which is okay, but there are plenty of Christmas stuff out for display too. read more

I have been a customer for many years. Framed hundreds of pieces at hobby lobby. Recently they lost their best person and now customer service is nonexistent. Three people were chatting and couldn't be bothered to help me. When they finally did they claim they no longer provide the service I've had for years. I spoke with the manager who was rude and not helpful. I will no longer frequent this store. I'll take my business where I'm once again a valued customer. read more

I would like to commend 2 of your employees that went above and beyond. Pat in sewing materials department and Tracy (not sure what department) guided me to have a cabinet delivered to the store that was earlier requested but didn't happen. They both followed through to no only make sure it was ordered and delivered, Tracy assembled it too!! They both followed up to make sure I was a happy customer!! I used to think you had to be craftically inclined to shop here, but I was so wrong! They have all kinds of home accents, wedding paraphernalia, and other great non-DIY type stuff here. I recently scored a lot of wedding stuff at 50% off. They rotate sale items from week to week, so if you miss a sale, just wait a while. They also do rain checks at sale prices if they run out of something. It would've been 4 stars if not for closing at 8pm, being closed on Sundays, and the off-putting instrumental religious Muzak (Go Tell It On a Mountain, You Raise Me Up, and Jesus Loves Me were a few that I recognized). They have always had what I needed, but lately I feel almost every cashier I go to is just really rude or snotty. One cashier I had last week didn't even look me in the eye at the end of the transaction when she said, "have a good night." It was really sarcastic, she was chomping her gum, and clearly paying attention to something else going on in an aisle display nearby. The bathrooms are always disgusting. Pee on the seat in all three stalls. This is common! I feel like in general, HL needs to up their couponing and sales to meet that of Michaels and JOANNS. I find myself visiting HL less and less because I can usually get what I need for cheaper at the other two competitor stores. I will continue going to HL, but in the ten years or so I've been frequenting the store, it seems to really be going downhill. read more

I used to enjoy going in each season and buying a carload (not really) of things to enjoy. Last time, however, I felt like I was in the way when I was looking at their ornaments. A small group meeting was held right where I was standing and they were hoping I would leave at that time. I was there first though and I wanted to finish out so I could provide the store with revenue. I felt in the way, so I paid and left and I have no desire to return. read more

Hey it's sunday, i've got some free time to maybe make some models. Just need to grab a pot of paint and....you are closed. It is the 21st century, be bold and hire some secular employees to man the shop on Sundays. It's the christian thing to do I think. Half way decent plastic model choices though it never changes. The paints and supply are hit and miss. If your making a big dollar purchase, there is usually a 40% off coupon in the sunday paper great for one time purchases like air compressors. Except if your going to be doing it on sunday.... Again, i mostly frequent these places cos i'm a plastic scale modeller. My wife has used them for framing and they do a great job. They also have a craft room area you can reserve. My model club, Cincinnati Scale Modellers has used the westwood location for make and take demonstrations. read more

Just moved here from Utah, so I was so happy when I saw there was a Hobby Lobby nearby. I love the merchandise here. However, my visit today was not pleasant. As I was getting fabric cut at the cut counter, the two girls working in that department didn't acknowledge me other than what size to cut. They kept talking negatively about their coworker being at work while she's sick and that they were there on their day off to get the department organized and put together and complaining about inventory coming up, having only 2 of them working in their area on their day off and 10 in the art department where help "wasn't necessary". I made my way through the entire store and everywhere I went I heard workers complaining about their job. Upset that they dont get any praise for being at work every day and getting crap from their managers when they called out because of the weather. Each one taking their turn to make their case about why their life sucks at work. It was really exhausting to listen to, and yet I couldn t get away from it because apparently every worker there doesn't have anything positive to say! The only positive part of my visit was when I was checking out, one of the cashiers called me over when her line was gone to help me out. I didn't catch her name, but she was the ONLY one with a smile on her face. I'll have to try again maybe on a day with good weather, but I don't know that it will happen any time soon. 2 stars because I love their products, but the overall experience changed my opinion of the place since moving to KY. Very poor customer service. Many items that are more than $20(silicone molding compounds, equipment) are not on the shelves, but an empty box that says to ask an associate. Problem is, no one will get the product for you until you go to one of the two checkout lanes that are open, with a 10-15 minute wait, to have them call a manager, then a few minutes later find out that they actually DO NOT HAVE THE PRODUCT AT ALL. Combine that with high prices, terrible corporate policies, and I would have no reason to patronize this location. But, they where the only shop around that had the brand I needed, except... They kinda didn't. read more

I've called this local Hobby Lobby at least twice in the past 4 days looking to see if they had a particular pattern in stock. Their answer was "no." This morning I called and spoke with Savannah, who was very sweet when she told me no. Less than 1/2 an hour later, I went into the store and back to the pattern drawers - surprise!! There was one copy of the pattern I wanted. Since it was a new pattern that they would have received earlier this week, I would think that they probably had them both times I called, especially this morning. read more

I have noticed lately that the customer service has really went downhill at the Florence location. My example today was I had to return some Copic markers.I did have my receipt and had the markers only 1 day. The transaction went smoothly at first with the cashier. He has to get a senior cashier to sign off and she did. Her name was Patty. She grabbed the markers opened them up and started to accuse me of having the incorrect lids. She even went to the point of marking the colors on a paper to show me that the colors were incorrect. I tried to explain that Copic markers aren't always true to their lid color. She told the male cashier to hold me there till she proves her point. I felt like I was being held unjustly. I was embarrassed by the way I was treated like a common criminal. I asked for the Mgr. I was told they were not in the building. Another cashier stepped up and asked what I wanted I told her Meanwhile Patty circled around me with nasty looks and long sighs. I will never ever return to this store ever. I felt like i was treated like a criminal. I hate to give even 1 star. This is supposed to be run by a christian based company. This was not very christian like to me. This store deserves a no star. read more

This store has great customer service with. Their are employees that go above and beyond to help you. They do get very busy but when you have great merchandise at great prices you will attract a lot of customers. This store is very addicting! But I love it especially compared to the other art stores (and hobby lobby has more selections!) read more

I usually always have a good experience at hobby lobby but my last visit to Hobby Lobby in Florence was horrific. When I swiped the wrong card for an over $500 purchase they told me they couldn't cancel it. I told the cash register operator I don't want to use that card and they were going to refuse to cancel it. Finally they got who was suppose to be the manager he just looked at me then the register shrugged his shoulders and walked away. Then 4 register operators tried to cancel the order. It took 30 minutes then they still couldn't. They paged the rude inconsiderate self consumed mgr. and he took another 20 min to come back. He began to argue with me. I told him to cancel everything and to refund my cash and card charged. It took him and another shift supervisor. I hadn't eaten lunch or breakfast and it was close to 2:30 pm by this time. The manager just shrugged his shoulders rolled his eyes and walked away again! Finally a shift supervisor and a veteran cash register was able to get their old system to cancel my order and refund my money. It to well into 45 min. I will never shop at this Hobby Lobby again. The manager should not be in management he seems to hate his job and knows nothing about customer service and has no patience or respect for his customer or able to professionally solve problems. read more
