Angie was a great help in assisting me with creating my "birthday party" event and Gray was a great teacher to provide the knowledge and guidance needed to all of us newbies. He walked us through each of the different types of glass and textures and how to apply the colored glass pieces. We had a separate room and were given a lot of options to choose from for each individual project. Everyone had a great time and had so much fun coming up with creative ideas for their projects. Everyone loved the end results of their pieces! I enjoyed it so much that I'm going back again to do something for Valentine's Day! Yay!!!

You are allowed to bring your own food and drinks but i would recommend sticking to just the drinks unless you want to eat clay or have crumbs on your vase. It was such a casual and fun low pressure experience that it made us want to become members so that we could come and create whenever we want. I will say that there is a giant dog in the studio and a cat that just wander around unleashed so if that bothers you maybe mention something before you get there or don't buy a ticket. ($100 per couple) The vases were ready for pickup in about a month so plan accordingly if you are doing this as an out of towner or are planning to move within the month after doing this. And you can't beat the price for her 2-hour classes with individual attention. One caveat: if you need structure, this probably isn't for you. Everyone is working on their own project and their is no strict "syllabus" to work through. I've come to really enjoy that

We were allowed to bring in our own snacks and drinks (wine) and a table was provided for us to set up these items. A few weeks prior to the event, we were instructed to choose our design, size, color/stain palette, etc. (I'm not sure if this is the case for every group who attends an event here) - this made our event flow very nicely! Our signs and stencils were already pre-sorted for us and labeled with our names. We had two young ladies helping us with our projects and they were very patient with the not-so-crafty members of the group. Even as a self-proclaimed "terrible craftsman", my end result turned out perfect! The Framery hosts weekly group events and would make for a fun networking activity or just friends night out. Slightly pricey but fair enough, I was excited to order a mini plank for Christmas. The pick up process is non-existent... I privately messaged the Facebook page to learn the process. AR could definitely upgrade this experience by including pick up instructions in the confirmation email. I was given a list of times I could pick up my order. Waited a few days and headed into the shop... nothing was prepared. I had a very small slice of time to pick up my order and unfortunately it took far too long. I would very highly recommend you call ahead to confirm to your order is in fact ready. Sadly, I was hoping for some cute gift packaging... maybe some tissue paper or literally anything besides just the wood and paints. My piece of plank wood does not sit flat and the handles were different than pictured. Overall, an extremely "meh" experience but the ladies who work there are super nice and that's important.

Personalized signs to decorate your house, pillows, yard signs, etc. Think of all the cutest stuff at Home Goods but with your personal touch. Visit their website to pick a workshop to attend. Each workshop has a selection of projects for you to choose from. You enter your name, year, or whatever personal info they need to set up your project. When you arrive all of your supplies and your stencil is waiting for you. You spend the next couple hours working on your creation with the guidance of the owner or other employees, and at the end you have an awesome new piece of art to take home. I am not at all creative but they make it fool proof! The owner Katie and her mom were running the show the afternoon I attended my first workshop. I was nervous to mess something up, but between them and my friend who had attended a previous workshop I was able to create a personalized sign that will go perfect in my living or dining room. (It definitely helped that I was with someone who knew what they were doing. My only critique is that there were times I had to wait for direction or wasn't super clear what I was doing. If you're more patient than me and not afraid to ask questions though, it's really not an issue.) I can't wait to come back and create something for my daughter's room or gifts for my mom and sister. Everything is so cute and I want to do all the projects! I'll be back! Oh yeah, and it's BYOB. :) My friend and I split of bottle of cider as we worked. Seriously, perfect Saturday!
