Called this location to see if they had an item in stock - the Christmas horse that is popular online- for my granddaughter's first Christmas. I was passed to another associate who replied she would check. She returned and stated she had four. When I asked, I was told they could not hold an item, which I do understand. My daughter agreed to use her lunch break to drive thirty minutes to pick up the item. On the way, we called the store back to confirm the items were in fact in stock. Again, the response was they had four. When my daughter arrived, she couldn't find them and asked an associate for help. She was then told they didn't have them, that they sold out Saturday. A call was made following this visit, this time to the manager. The manager stated they sold the last ten on Saturday to a customer selling them on EBay. No apologies made for the mistake or the hour of travel time and aggravation. I use to shop at the Hobby Lobby in Elmwood until I grew tired of the constant mess from stocking at peak shopping hours and the rudeness of their associates. Called on December 5, 2025 to check to see if they had a product. The female person who answered the phone ask me what department I needed after I indicated the product. She did not have knowledge of the affiliations of her job duties. Also, she eventually hung the phone up in my face. I called back and was continued getting the phone hung up in my face. The location I called was 2424 Manhattan Blvd, Harvey LA. Customer service should be focus on both in-store and phone calls, emails, etc. read more

This is my favorite Hobby Lobby in the New Orleans metro area. They had furniture that no one else had. They had a bigger selection and were set up more like the Hobby Lobby's in Oklahoma (a home of Hobby Lobby). I found a shelf I had hereto only see online and had listed after. Hobby Lobby, why have thou forsaken thee?! I'm accustomed to the atmosphere of the Hobby Lobby's in Texas and the excellent customer service that they provide. I notice, since being back in the New Orleans area, customer service is not second nature for many places and you can tell the disgust of employees in the way they respond to your inquiries and requests for assistance. I was a 3rd wheel for a trip to find stencils. My accomplice asked 3 different associates and were given the most vague directions every time. The employees all seemed to busy in their own world to even navigate us to the location and only pointed and said things like "deep left" and "far middle" but Hobby Lobby is more like a stadium on the inside so that was not good at all. We eventually found what was needed after browsing aisle by aisle. We continued our browsing and ended up on the spray paint aisle. We were looking at the wooden letters and there was a couple on the aisle testing out the different spray paint cans. They found what they needed and left. 2 minutes later one of the lackluster associates approached my accomplice and I for spraying spray paint and didn't give us a chance to explain the culprits were a couple who were already well on their way. The irony is that she received to move to show us stencils but proudly came over to scold us. We checked out afterwards. The cashiers were quick and 2 lanes were open so we were well on our way. Overall the store was organized as Hobby Lobby's always are, clean as usual, and a lot of the items were on sale for 50% off. The experience was bitter sweet but I definitely wont end my long time relationship as a loyal customer for a few mishaps. read more

Its a Hobby Lobby. The days after a holiday are when you visit to scoop up cheap seasonal decorations. Like sale priced fake pumpkins or Christmas things. It has alot of stuff and is huge and probably has what you are looking for. I know the stance on the LBGT and all but sometimes I need to get a scrapbook dolphin and sunglasses decal stat. read more

Has good stuff the store often removes things that I like but it's still pretty good. This employee is gonna be pretty rude and if you're trying to get vinyl they don't even let you see it they just take it up to the front after they open it up, it takes them a really long time to go and open the keys anyways. read more

THIS WAS A NICE HOME DECOR BUYING TIME UP UNTIL We reached the register where the nice cashier was greated by a rude manager saying "do you want to get off at 8 or 12 because this store is a mess?" as if she was not actively working. I didn't want to do it. I really didn't want to be one of those people that actually likes Hobby Lobby. Politics aside, from the outside Hobby Lobby just seemed like one of those places that was a little too perfect. "Of course we have a pecan and pumpkin scented candle with pine undertones! YOU'RE AT HOBBY LOBBY!" Full disclosure: this place is kind of awesome and it made me miss the days that I used to spend wandering the aisles of the long shuttered Gordon's of Gretna. Naturally, it's August, so the first thing that you see as soon as you walk in are Halloween and Thanksgiving decorations. In fact, they have an entire wall of Thanksgiving decorations. Napkins, plates, candles, cornucopias of varying sizes; they have it. They also have Christmas everything. I'm not sure if this is year round, or only because we have entered the second half of the year, but today the employees were putting up a massive nativity in the middle of aisles decked with stockings, trees and other holiday goodies. Moving on, I noticed that this place has home decor on lock. Everything you could need for kids and adults alike is here. Your kid is into sports? They have every base covered (heh) from signs to vintage sports memorabilia. Comic books more your kid's thing? Check out all of the Superman, Batman and Spiderman posters, lights, drawer pulls, emblems, logos and knick knacks. Need to decorate a man cave? Great. What does he drive? Here's some vintage signs that he can hang on the wall. Redecorating the house? How about a huge decorative wall clock? Is a massive cross more your thing? Maybe some trendy (but not too trendy) wall art. Or let's just keep it simple with a couple of frames. Do you like to sew? Boom, fabric and everything else you need to make your dreams come true! Art and crafts- do you like gluing stuff to other stuff and throwing glitter on it? Yes, right over here in the craft aisle! Do you like to draw? Here's some fancy paper! No matter what your hobby, Hobby Lobby does indeed have you covered. I'm not even a crafter, but God help me I wanted to buy some felt and start scrap booking. Oh Hobby Lobby, I didn't want to like you but I do and I can actually see myself getting some decorations here for Christmas or Valentines or Easter or President's Day or Arbor Day, because I know you have something for every holiday on the calendar. I notice every time I shop this location in Harvey the customers are scrutinized and followed through out the store so I asked my friend if she felt very uncomfortable shopping at this location she felt the tension as well so I couldn't help but notice a male walking around the store following me he raised his cell phone as if he was taking pictures of me while shopping . I give this location another chance so I attempt to shop I picked up an item that was marked clearance I take it to register a clerk standing in front of store approaches me takes item then tells me in a very hostile manner this is not clearance snatches it out of my shopping cart then proceeded to ask what is wrong with it. I responded with I don't know it was on clearance after my embarrassing moment I left shopping cart and the remaining products in basket and vowed never to return they are not customer oriented at this location extremely unprofessional attitudes of the employees are horrid at best too many other establishments to shop at to continually put up with this... read more

Never thought I'd love Hobby Lobby so much. I just recently moved here and I needed some things to make my home more of a home. Luckily Hobby Lobby has EVERYTHING I needed, From: Pictures/Frames Comic Book memorabilia Furniture Art Supplies Light switch covers... ...the list goes on! I never understand how these big stores , always have just 2 registers open. They have 5 people deep in each line and they never open another register. Extremely frustrating. Makes the experience very unpleasant. I have walked out empty handed before because waiting 10-15 minutes to check out is ridiculous. read more
