He even caught that I was about to purchase glaze that was not a good fit for my needs. He helped me choose alternative glazes that fit my need and saved me $20 plus as the alternate glazes were less expensive! Randy took a lot of time answering my questions about Stroke and Coat, and with his help I decided this product did not fit my needs (although lots of my potter friends praise Stoke n coat). Alabama Art has a great selection of glazes. This was my 3rd trip and I will definitely be back. It was the most fun!!

Now, what does that have to do with Alabama Art Supply - well I guess nothing. But, my wife who is a good artist (Other people have verified this) wanted to stop by here and do some shopping. From an art supplies place, this place is as good as anywhere you will find in the area. They have it all, if you are drawing, painting, need to create a matte for a piece .... prices are good and staff is really nice (even to us non artistic folks). I'd recommend this place if you're looking for some supplies that are a little different as well. Really well organized space and worth a visit if you're in the area.

They had some really nice pens with a variety of widths, making them smoother and/or heavier. In addition to the pen selection they had all sorts of paints and associated brushes and anything you may need to kick your next art project into gear. Staff was friendly and they had quite a few people in here checking out what kind of supplies they had. Store is organized nicely and had a good flow (like items were together). Good spot to check out if if you find yourself at Lowe Mill Art & Entertainment plaza. I'd recommend and we'd come back if we are in this area again.

They have a variety of professional art supplies, and the lady that was running it was kind, patient, and has a heart for inspiring artistic youth. They had "exactly" what my daughter was looking for, and I would much prefer to buy local than to support Amazon and get let down again when the package doesn't arrive the day they say it will. We were also encouraged by this store's Christmas project. They challenge patrons to take a paper bag and decorate it. They're having a fun time judging them, and will use them to hand out gifts collected for those in need. Places such as this serve as a reminder of how important brick and mortar stores are. Very refreshing and we'll be back here soon...with a decorated paper sack and a gift or two from their list. This gets a deserved 5 stars from me.

Despite my pleas since we had a few minutes and I knew exactly what I was looking for, they wouldn't let me in and kept blocking the door.
