Don't expect them to fix anything if it breaks. I bought an rc car from them 2 days later It broke and they won't fix it.

I was having some issues with rc recently so I dropped in this Hobbytown to get some help. Craig was quick to dive into my problems and quickly found what I needed to get my setup working right, he was friendly and knew his stuff, awesome service!! Come here if you want to feel useless. Tried asking for some help for an RC helicopter and just the attitude from the guy off the batt was horrible and just mad that he's working there. Asked him about a connection issue with the transmitter and starts laughing and turns away like I'm not there talking to his buddy like I'm stupid or something. Just the human decency to talk to someone face to face guess to much for these stupid fucks. read more

We came needed parts for a Redcat RC truck and this website specifically said They carried them not only did they not have any Red Cat vehicles but they didn't have any parts to anything Red Cat either if that wasn't bad enough the service desk if that's what you want to call it in the back was not servicing anything or anyone it was pretty obvious they weren't going to help me or my husband with anything we needed that said the prices are a little bit cheaper so if the wrong part is bought which is highly likely because they're not knowledgeable at all at least you're not out so much money they had a wonderful Doug and Melissa collection for kids at the front check out was very nice but other than that super dis appointment care read more

As much as I prefer the specialized local hobby shops, these seem to be going the way of the dodo. Hobbytown USA in Johnson City is a locally owned franchisee of the Hobbytown chain of shops, and it caters to a wide range of hobbyists. Their selection ranges from board games to model rockets, model trains (mostly the smaller scales -- little O and even less G) to radio controlled cars and aircraft. They also have a good collection of higher end toys. The best thing about the place is the staff, who are really knowledgeable about the stuff they sell and are eager to help. They just moved to a new location on Roan St. and are still in the process of setting up the store, but it's already improved the train and r/c sections. Highly recommended! read more

Friendly service, prices are OK. I have visited the store a few times and they have most RC parts that you would need. If it's something unique its best to use the Internet. I ordered something I needed through the store and ordered another spare from the net the next day. I received the Internet order but I'm still waiting on the part to arrive @ the store. read more

it's a good store if your into trains or cars or electric planes very good people very knowledgeable people but if your looking to build or kits for nitro planes or any nitro equipment mostly aircraft you need to use internet they have very limited equipment basically none at all except fuel they do stock some of it read more

Very good hobby store, big selection especially in the former ride revolutions building. The employees are knowledgeable, prices are reasonable. Excellent if you need small parts like a gear for an RC car as you can get it with no shipping cost even if they don't keep it in stock read more
