I started at Keiser and had professors mention how they prided themselves in helping students pass. While I was there I had professors meet with me outside of class time to help me obtain information I may have missed during class. Anytime I didn't do well on an exam I had professors go over the exams with me and help me understand why I missed the question and how to not make the same mistake again. I had professors rooting for me leading up to the exams and encouraging me along the way! And to top it off, I passed the NCLEX 4 weeks after graduating at 85 questions. Let's start with how everything is practically still brand new. As a relatively young college all the buildings and classrooms are top notch and new. As someone who went to a college that has been around much longer, FGCU has the nicest facilities I've seen. And that's not just for the student athletes or the privileged, that is for everyone. You also have a private beach on campus with a boat for rent. Once again something that is almost unparalleled with other college campuses. Next you have the unique location of being sandwiched between two amazing cities, Forty Myers and Naples. The amount of money has such an impact on the surrounding areas it's amazing. Everywhere you go you have the best shopping and dining anyone could possibly ask for. All within 15 minutes of campus and everywhere is pretty much a friendly neighborhood. Lastly the academics here are getting better and will continue to improve. FGCU is still young and relatively easy compared to other big schools but I'm sure this will change in the coming years. This is a unique college with a pretty awesome experience waiting for someone to come give it a whirl.

Was no place to live for him. 2 miles from campus no shuttle off campus. Due to the lack of transportation and no dorms he transferred out and is very happy in normal housing close to classes. They did nothing to help with his housing. They wasted years of his time.

I hadn't set foot on this campus in about 8 years until a few days ago. Now that being said, this review is a mixed bag, baby. I think that I had some great teachers at this college back at the time of Hurricane Andrew. I saved a huge stack of cash whilst pocketing an associates before shipping off to Gainesville for archi-torture school. However, not much has changed on this campus in 25 years. Sure, it's got a new name, mascot, a few new modern buildings, some minor pathways and relocation of some offices, etc. at this campus. But, walking around really brought me back to the early '90's and the time I spent knocking out my basic coursework fresh outta high school. That's not necessarily a bad thing, I am just a little curious as to why the student lounge and cafeteria have had almost no upgrades save for a flat screen tv, a newer ATM machine, but nothing to really make a budding college kid want to hang out on campus for several hours between classes on a Tuesday? I wanted to ask the two students that were actually in the darkened lounge, but they were so bored that they were crashed out on the vinyl couch that 1977 was calling about. Heck, the tv wasn't even on, so I couldn't blame them for counting a few sheep. Not a board game in sight, foosball, Xbox, ping pong, magazine....just a few vending machines and linoleum holding up the couch. Regardless, this is a small campus, always has been, but it is clean, well maintained, good location, and I am sure still providing a good, affordable education which is more important than anything. But, I think they could throw a few more bucks at making the student lounge more fun and attractive for socializing between classes....just the humble opinion of an alum. Oh, and just one final thought...was never a fan of the original name for the fraud inventor, so well done with that change and best wishes for the future. There are High stools and tables to soft benches At the east end of the campus, next to another new building, is the school of theatre and arts. They need more parking though, as the rest of the school needs. Share an indoor garage but need several more stories high.

Almost brand new, very beautiful grounds right near the ocean, it might even be on the ocean but there is so much landscaping I am not sure, I think it is. Beautiful campus, easy to get in and out. The professors are laid back and the staff was cordial. I learned a lot here. Parking is super close and I felt safe taking night classes. It was great to leave class at 10 at night and feel a warm ocean breeze accompany me to my vehicle. Great fitness center and cute little cafe to grab a quick coffee or snack before class. Would recommend this college.
