I wanted to go to a race track this weekend to watch drag racing. The advertising "flyer" on Facebook mentioned motorcycle rally but it also said drag racing. Advertising: So, I thought I would see motorcycles and cars drag racing. The flyer also said dirt drag races too. On Scene: Approaching race track, I saw signs that said spectators entrance to the right of race track. I parked close by gate and walked to entrance where I paid $20. Ticket counter sales person said I could catch shuttle that would take me closer to grandstands. She also said shuttle would bring me back as it will be making continuous trips. However, I had to walk all the way back to back main entrance after waiting 30 minutes for him in the hot sun. However, Shuttle operator just parked shuttle at main back entrance and got off and was talking to his friends instead of working. I told Ticket operators about this and she says "sorry". She said racing will start up again in a couple hours since it was so hot. So, I left and went back to hotel and told her I will be back in a couple hours. On Scene 2nd time: So, I came back a couple hours later around 7pm when the sun was going down and it was cooler. I showed my arm band which I kept on my wrist so I wouldn't have to pay admission again. Again, shuttle operators not on shuttle. He yelled out get on shuttle and " I will be over there in a second". He finally came but with an attitude this time. He got in drivers seat and turned toward me and said let me call track owner and see if she will let you drive to grandstand area. He came back and said I could. So, I walk back to truck and go through gate showing my arm band. For the first time ever, I saw the Hells Angels motorcycle club at the same place I was. They were selling their stuff and riding their motorcycles which was I thought was pretty cool. I have always wanted to ride motorcycles. So, I have an Interest in motorcycles as I have a motorcycle endorsement on my license. In summary, there was no dirt track drag racing, no race car drag racing and only a few drag races between motorcycles. I did have a good time but I thought it would be better if there had been race car drag races which I was led to believe they were having. Final Thoughts: I will be back for drag races another day. When I do, I might update my experience at that time. So, I might come back. We will just have to wait and see.

The older ones in our group signed up to race on the street car and had a blast. For only $20 you can enter your street car, or $10 to get in just to watch. It was the most fun we had in a long time around here. I would recommend to anyone specially since there is not much to do around this area.

Let me just say that it is big. Everything is big about this race track. It has a big parking lot, a big race track, a big grand stand and etc. You can see the whole race track from any seat. I had no problems in parking and left the race track easily. The race track food was delicious as expect to stand in long lines at the concession stands but they are not real long. On Scene: I parked next to some other pickup trucks that happen to be tailgating. I never been to an oval dirt race track where I have seen tailgating. I have only seen this at NASCAR race tracks and football games. Anyway, I sat on my tailgate for a few minutes to prepare for watching the races. Then, I grabbed my lawn chair and bought a pit pass for so I can go wherever I wanted including the grand stands. I walked through the pits looking at some of the race cars as I was going to the grand stands to set up my lawn chair. I picked a place to put my chair as high up as possible so I could see all of the race track. This way, I can see everything and really enjoy the entertainment. Next, I left my seat for the pits to take pictures of race cars and talk to put crew members. One tip I would give is to be alert and make sure you don't get in anybody's way while in the pits as you don't want to bother them. I like walking in the pits a few hours before the race during the day. You can take pictures like I did and can easily see the race cars. Then, at night you can sit in the grand stands and watch the race.

I didn't read up on it enough to learn why the lanterns were released, but it was definitely a cool event. Summer time races typically occur late in the evening when the weather has cooled down and the cars run better. This is always a fun and welcome atmosphere for anyone looking to enjoy a good race or demolition derby (when scheduled).

Bathrooms have a place where you can wash your hands. They also concession stands that have great food. They also had no lines every time I wanted something to drink and eat. Race track view: all seats are good seats from what I see. But, I would recommend sitting up as high as possible to get an even better view. I could see the race cars driving around the whole race track. I met a friend beside me while here. I said he was a regular and used to have a race team and come to this race track in his younger days. He mentioned a few drivers that were racing today that used to drive for him. Prices for admission was very reasonable. They were charging $15 to get in. They also have senior citizens discount where it was only $12 for admission. In summary, I had a great time. I will definitely come back to this race track soon. Everyone was nice and friendly.

This Race Track is located out in the country about 10 miles from Goldsboro, NC. This was my 1st…read morevisit to this race track. However, it is the 34th different race track that I have been to. The admission was only $10. I had a great view from my pickup truck as I used tier parking. It's what I like to do. Nothing better than backing up your pickup trick alongside a fence to watch a race on a Saturday night. I like putting my tailgate down and watching the race from my lawn chair of the bed of truck. Entering and leaving the race track was no problem as it was self parking. You can park just about wherever you like. Now, they do have grandstands where you can watch the race. But, there just isn't anything more exciting than watching the race from the comfort of your truck. There are no facilities here where you can wash your hands nor do that have bathrooms. I did see a few portable units though. There is only 1 concession stand and it is at the entrance to the track. So, if you park where they told me to, you have to walk all the way around and then walk all the way back. They had pretty good food. I got nachos and cheese which was great. However, the hot dog was under cooked and I decided not to eat it. I like my hot dogs well done.

My friend group and I went here recently for a friend's birthday. The first thing I noticed was…read morethat parking is tight, so just be aware of that. The site itself is quite nice and very large. Apparently renovations were done recently so it has an updated feel to it. When you walk in you sign up to race at the counter area, and you also take your picture and pick a racing name. The majority of our group was guys, with the exception of three ladies. Us ladies didn't race and instead ended up getting drinks from the bar, playing a few of the arcade games, and cheering on our guy friends who raced. The bar area has a pretty good selection of drinks and food, and for it being an "amusement" type center, I'd say the quality was pretty decent! There were a solid amount of things you could do besides the racing. They had axe throwing, a rock climbing wall, arcade games, and an interactive game arena. The racing did look fun and our friends had a good time doing it. Those karts go up to around 40mph so they're no joke. I do feel like they do a good job with their safety measures. They give you solid racing helmets, and if you spin out they'll make sure to help safely get you straightened back out. They'll also enforce some set track rules to make sure you're racing safely. My two friends and I watched our other friends race from a large viewing platform near the top of the track. The only negative thing I'd say about our experience is that it's loud (I'm sensitive to high pitched squealing sounds, so I shoved some bits of napkin in my ears and that helped lol), heavily smells of gas (they do have ventilation in place but it's still very noticeable), and it's also pretty hot in there. The area with the arcade, bar, and other entertainment is separate from the racing track, which is good because you can get some relief in between races in there. Overall, it was a fun experience! We all had a good time and would go back again. This time I'd bring ear plugs lol.
