Our room was a bit smaller than we'd imagined, but the bathroom had neat space-saving sliding doors and the mattress was very comfortable. Breakfast was served in a nicely decorated open space where you could see the chefs preparing what was no doubt not only breakfast but also lunch items to enjoy in the fine looking restaurant. While the fish and weisswurst (the special sausage reminding us that we were in Bavaria) made for a very good breakfast selection, the coffee was undrinkable - perhaps also reminding us that we should've been drinking beer. One of the nice reception staff tried to answer our question about the name of the hotel with a reference to three Moors that was somewhat contradicted by what we later overheard in a tour in the Cathedral. While I still don't quite understand the connection between three monks and a hotel in Augsburg, the current hotel evidently wishes to make some historical connections to a place that was once located here but destroyed several times - and uses the leitmotif of the three Moors present in the hotel's design to this effect.
