I had a 3 zone heat pump system installed by this company at a cost of $24,000. The lying salesman informed me that it would take 3 days.....it took several weeks to get it installed correctly having HD to return 14 times to get it right. One unit I suspect was refurbished because it fell apart weeks after the install and they had to order parts for it.....allegedly a new unit? A unit in my attic two months later began to spew condensation where it filled the pan, the unit never shut off and began to drip through my ceiling, but luckily I caught it quickly. They had failed to insulate about a two foot section of copper leading to the condensation. For the install they had removed large sections of insulation and never bother to place the insulation back. On top of the aforementioned, there were other issues (Want a WiFi controlled thermostat? Another $800...yes...hundreds). After a while they became a little condescending because they were tiring of my complaints. A 24k system and I had no right to keep "badgering" them. The install was finally correctly finished in late spring (they started in Jan), here I am a little over a year later, in a heatwave (90-95 degrees) and I had to shut down the main unit in the living room because of a pretty bad condensation problem. I have to wait 12 days for service. There are scores of Heating/AC companies in New York State, and this is the "gang that couldn't shoot straight". Don't believe me? Go ahead and hire them and spend your hard earned dollars. You will regret it. Any positive reviews are probably paid reviews because this company plain and simply sucks. They are not worth the 1 star I had no choice but to select. read more

I don't know what they're doing. They put a new forced air heating system in my house. The estimator came that came out estimated it wrong. Ended up costing me a lot more money. But, more than that it doesn't work correctly they've come back six times to fix it. It is still not working correctly and they won't come back again. They said they no longer do business in this area. I got them through Home Depot and Home Depot is not following up. read more

Hi pressure sales to purchase only premium name air conditioning system without providing any other choices. Quote ... "If you are going to buy any other lesser system you can get anyone to come out and install it. You don't have to pay OUR prices." Then the guy proudly states he offers a 3 year labor warranty ... but only if he puts in a Lennox system. If not then just 1 year. Really? More high pressure sales. read more

This business receives zero stars from me. They are truly unprofessional and unreliable. The first day they arrived they were only able to work a handful of hours because the equipment didn't arrive on time. Then they sold us equipment that wasn't compatible with our heating system so lost time finding a solution for that issue. They tried to make up for lost time by working extra hours two days before the project was due to be completed. The project was not completed on schedule and we were hit with a major heat wave. We were left to our own devices during the weekend with a two and four year old who had to bear the sweltering heat 98 to 100 degree weather. I am truly disappointed and expected more from this company considering the prices they were charging. I would strongly recommend you do your homework before making this establishment your final choice. read more

Bought my new HVAC system through Home Depot, they use Holbrook heating/cooling, I spent over $10K for a new system and my AC doesnt work, they said they will come in a month to take a look (its 90 degrees out), if this is how they treat new customers, Home Depot should distance themselves from this company, they SUCK! read more

I used holbrook through home depot. They gave me an aggressive price and have stood behind their work. The really went to bat for me with the manufacturer when there was an issue with the equipment. I'm not sure why the negative reviews but I'd use them again. read more

We were shown options to improve the climate of our house and came across Holbrook Heating and Air Conditioning. We had an amazing experience with the project manager but what really spoke volumes about the compassion, professionalism and dedication of Holbrook Heating as a company was the install team. Andrew Imperati who was the lead was beyond exceptional. Him and his team were knowledgeable on the project and installation process, they were super friendly to our dog, and very concerned and cautious of working with our new born in the house. They were very respectful of our house and ensured they cleaned up after themselves. The entire team was very polite throughout there time working onsite. I would recommend them anytime. read more

I'd give zero stars if I could. Absolutely the WORST and most unethical service I've ever encountered. This company attempts to ROB senior citizens and will not rectify their own mistakes ... they do a half-assed, incorrect job and then keep charging customers more and more when they have to come back. Please go elsewhere ... during the record-breaking, freezing winter, Holbrook was slow to respond (leaving senior citizens with a dysfunctional heater for 2 weeks in 9 degree weather) ... failed to fix the heather the first time, and now after THREE visits from Holbrook, the heater is STILL not working and they keep charging more and more money for each visit. You'd be better served by finding a different HVAC company that will fix your heater correctly the first time and provide better service. Holbrook is the WORST. RUN AWAY! read more

Similar issues as other people they've abused, apparently. Sold us a Slim system, which has never worked right -- and they were only too happy to charge us every time they came out and spent hours "fixing" it. Last technician said that the insides looked as if it had been thrown off a moving truck -- which meant it was a defective unit to begin with (and which cost us another 10 hours of labor and the luck of unguarded honesty to find out). When we confronted the office with this, they offered us 20% off the labor necessary to "repair" the bad unit they'd sold us in the first place, and had been bleeding us for repairs on for 3 years. And they were not pleasant about it, nor particularly quick to return phone calls. Would never give them my business again, and earnestly warn you away from them. read more
