After booking with Holiday Autos, I received emails from the rental car company instructing me to proceed with the 'Save time at pick-up' process, which involved validating my driver's license and selecting the desired car model. I completed these steps without encountering any issues. Upon my arrival in Las Vegas, however, I was informed that I was on a block list by SIXT, the rental car company. Unfortunately, the SIXT employee at the airport was unable to provide any explanation or assistance regarding the situation. They mentioned that even if I were to contact Customer Service, it would take at least 48 hours to resolve the issue according to their system protocol. Left with no other options, I had to book a car from a different company on the same day, which ended up costing me three times more than originally planned. I attempted to resolve the issue with Holiday Autos; however, they don't feel responsible for the unfavorable treatment I received from their partner company. Posting here because they are based in the UK - Ireland. Just had a pretty bad experience with Holiday Autos. From what I've now read online it seems like the typical bait and switch that they tend to provide. Booked a reservation that specifically was "model" guaranteed with certain features listed and received a different vehicle without the same features (diesel and didn't get a diesel car). Literal language was "Special Offer - We guarantee that the model displayed is the model you will receive at pick-up." After the reservation, contacted customer service and was told "unfortunately, we cannot guarantee a specific make or model within your selected car category. This is why we always specify that the car displayed is the most common example of the car group and that you will receive a similar car within the category." Would someone please tell me what "guarantee" and "model displayed" means when I did not receive the model received and then was told "we cannot guarantee a specific make or model?" read more
