When I was a wee lad my parents rented a small (9 horse?) motor from the Bait Box for me to use to putter around the lakes. Awesome. I wanted to spend his reset away from the big light populations so maybe on my first westward trip I would get to experience the night sky full of amazing stars. We chose to stay here even though it isn't actually a truck stop because of that very reason and many reviews on trucker path said it was worth the visit. The staff here has been amazing and so friendly. The owner treated us like she had known us forever. It was so nice to see locals hanging out this morning talking about all the local things going on around town. If ever I get back here... I'm coming to say hello!
