Would give 5 stars for Ms. Erika Jordan our beautiful smiling front desk manager. She greeted us so kindly and we were a pair of very weary road travelers. She really made the stay pleasant. The only reason for the 4 stars is that the hotel is aging and needs some repairs, but it was clean. The shipping containers in the parking lot are already staged for a massive renovation she told us. So that will be a shiny new place by next year and we look forward to passing through again to say Hi to Ms. Jordan, she really helped lift our spirits! read more

This Holiday Inn was our first stop on a cross country road trip from Texas to North Carolina. Normally, this chain is a bit pricey for me but the rest of our group had booked here so I spent the $130ish dollars to be with friends. Check in was simple and only a $20 "incidentals" fee was charged upon arrival. That's WAY cheaper than most hotels that hold you $100 for a few days. Walking the place seemed super clean; good smells if you will. Unloaded the car and headed to our room. And this is where the "other" smells took over. Every room my group occupied was SUPER musty. GF literally spent 10 minutes and probably $40 of my $120 cologne dousing the room. Next morning we met in the breakfast area; very well organized buffet with mini omelettes, sausage, biscuits, gravy, and signature cinnamon rolls. We would have stayed here on the return trip home if it weren't for the awful smell. read more

First off, let me say that not all Holiday Inn Expresses are created equal. I travel twice per week and 90% of the time Holiday Inn's can be nice. After checking in, i asked for and was delivered an extra blanket. I went to dinner and upon my return, I noticed that both of my hand towels were missing out of my bathroom. I also observed that a washcloth that I was going to use but was dirty so I discarded it onto the floor of the bathroom was missing. It was clear that someone had been in my room. I then walked past the bathroom into my room and noticed there are two brand new washcloths, folded and placed on my desk. On my desk was my duty gear as I travel for work. Sometimes there are safes in the room which I do utilize when they are functioning. However, this Holiday Inn does not have safes. I immediately went to the front desk to inquire about who came into my room. The lady at the front desk confirmed that housekeeping did come into my room because she thought I needed new towels. I told her that I did not request towels nor should anyone be coming into anyone's room after they are checked in. The lady at the front desk proceeded to tell me that that particular housekeeper is "slow". I requested that the manager call me immediately. I later learned that my extra blanket which I already put on my bed was missing. What in the heck is happening at this HIE? read more

3.5 For my third trip to Mississippi I stayed here for one night. The employees were still as friendly as I remembered but after comparing it to my stay at the Hampton Inn in Pearl, I have to lower my rating. The room was still spacious, but it didn't have a flat screen like the Hampton Inn. Their breakfast, to my surprise, had less to choose from and it didn't taste as great. If I know I'll be working late, I still wouldn't mind staying here. But the Hampton Inn wins when it comes to everything else. read more

Easy location Located on the main highway. This facility is handicap friendly. This facility is clean child friendly family friendly and very clean the parking lot as well light at night. The staff from upper management to front desk are very professional and friendly. As soon as you enter you see a Very clean area. They have a swimming pool there is very clean and the children loves it. The Security it's always available was 24 hour security cameras around the facility. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The hot breakfast in the morning is spot on and child friendly. There are many restaurants in the area that are within two minutes of walking. I highly recommend this place and will return read more

My family and I always stay at this hotel when in Forest. Every part of the hotel and the rooms are clean and well-maintained. Each staff member I've ever encountered has always been very polite and accommodating. There aren't a lot of lodging options in Forest, MS. This is the best one, especially for the price. read more

I've stayed at a variety of Holiday Inns Express this is one of the newer ones... the wi-fi works and is free. The breakfast is typical, not healthy but you can make it work. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. Three of us were staying in a double, the towels were fully stocked, we didn't have to ask for any extra towels. Room had an iron and a mini-fridge. Warning the town has no real restaurants that I saw, just your typical fast food places. We wound up driving to Pearl MS for dinner at a bar/grill restaurant. read more

I'm basing this review off of my experience at other Holidays Inns, I travel a lot for work and to visit family in between. I am a IHG ( their "club" card) member. Last month I stayed at Holiday Inns for 5 days while traveling and had much better experiences. I checked in around midnight, which is pretty typical for me as I tend to travel until I'm tired. That being said I'm usually just happy that they have a room with a bed. The front desk checked me in gave me a key and pointing me toward my room. He didn't give me a bill, but I didn't think anything of it because a bill is usually slid under the door during the night. The room was clean and tidy. After showering and getting relaxed. I set out to find the ice machine and vending for some water...I wandered around the hotel following the signs for vending, but their was only a ice machine. In in the morning the lady at the front desk told me they had a hotel "sweets" shop at the front desk....That would have been nice to know but that including the check out time were not in the binder in the hotel room. I hung the "Do not disturb sign" to make sure house keeping didn't wake me early and promptly fell asleep without setting an alarm. I woke up to someone pounding on my door like there was a fire in the building, I was hollering coming, in my way, threw on enough clothes to be presentable and open the door....no one was there, the maid cart was one door down and my do not disturb sign was still swinging from the handle. I went back inside and realized it was 15 till 1100 most hotels check out times...I scrambled to pack my things and clear the room. House banged again on my door. When I opened it on the slide locked hurriedly she was standing six inches in front of the door and didn't step back...I explained I overslept and I was packing right now, that I wasn't aware when check out was. She just stared at me saying nothing. I closed the door and threw the last few things in my suitcase abandoning any attempt and brushing my hair teeth, or washing my face. I loaded my stuff in the car and went to check out. When I get old you the lady at the front desk I needed to check out and about my experience she asked, well other than that how was your stay? ‍. I took my bill and used the lobby bathroom to clean up before I left. read more

I love this hotel. The staff are attentive and prompt. They also have a popcorn machine in the lobby and they make fresh hot buttery popcorn for guest. The pool is nice. The rooms are cool except the 'suites', they're not suites lol read more

Very clean breakfast area with a large selection of foods from scrambled eggs, yogurt, coffee, juices, breads and cereals. Would stay again. read more

Very similar to other Holiday Inn Express that we've stayed at before. It's not a Westin Hotel, but it's clean, comfortable and the people working there are helpful. Unfortunately I haven't found anything to eat here, but I'm only here for a couple of days. read more

I experienced an issue with the bathroom outlet not working, which you can understand is a problem if you are trying to use a hair dryer or lighted makeup mirror. This was annoying so I stopped on my out that morning at 7 am and mentioned it to the front desk person, who said she would have maintenance look at it that day. When I returned that evening about 8 PM, the outlet was still not working. I asked the person working the front desk (a different person) if anyone had looked at it. She said they had not because it wasn't written in the book and went on to explain the previous front desk person was remiss in her duties but that she would take care of it by recording it in the maintenance book and leaving a note for the manager. The next day when I returned to the room, you guessed it, same story. Yet another front desk person told me it wasn't in the book, no one had looked at the outlet, and insinuated that the previous person I had talked to was incompetent, but not to worry because she would record it in the maintenance book and leave a note for the manager. By now, I believe the maintenance book is a ficticious story they tell unsuspecting guests, along with the nonexistent maintenance man, which makes me wonder how long this outllet has actually been broken. I'm sure someone is managing the property, but this person seems not to be doing their job either. read more
