This Holiday Inn Express is beyond terrible. During the day, staff entered every room and removed all the towels, clean or not. No beds were made, no trash was removed; they just took the towels. When I tried to get more, I was told, "We don't have any, we don't know where they are, and we don't know when we will have more." Two days later, still no towels, and the trash remains uncollected despite being advised to leave it outside the door. The parking lot is filthy, with drug paraphernalia and dirty diapers left in parking spots. Even the pancake machine was out of order. Under the entertainment center was filthy, and we found a pair of someone else's underwear behind the dresser. To top it all off, the toilet seat in our room was broken. The fire alarm went off during our first day at 6 AM, presumably from the smell of marijuana in the halls--note this hotel is "smoke-free," but I guess drugs are excluded. You could easily find the source if desired by following the smell. Staff is also impossible to find; I had to hunt in the back for someone to assist--luckily, they eventually added a bell. One bright spot - the staff seems friendly - just don't ask for anything. I strongly suggest any other local hotel--they have to be better. read more

Very poor. Hotel was way over priced well over $150.00 almost no Veteran discount or any discount. The bathtub was so gross and so old. Gaps in the tile floor (no grout in areas). Breakfast was so so. True most hotel breakfast isn't great, but this was close to bottom (how can they produce so much food with NO taste??) WHEN DID HOLIDAY INN GO DOWN HILL SO FAR??? A couple weeks before we stayed at the Drury Inn at Sikeston, MO so much better the room was great bathroom was clean and nice. They servered evening lunch which was very good and breakfast witch was also very good and included in the room price FREE! And all of that for UNDER $100.00 and a nice Veteran discount. Thank you Drury Inn. I really hope this will let Holiday Inn convinced to make improvements. For many years I alway wanted to stay at Holiday Inn but the last few years I have been disappointed. The staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is very likely the best I've had at any hotel. Eggs, sweet rolls, and juices are all delicious! The room is tidy, spacious, and well-appointed. Now the disappointing news. I had only enough hot water for a tepid shower in the morning. The heater was over-ambitious and kept my room too warm; dropping the temperature seemed to have no effect. I was assigned a room next to the elevator and could hear the bells and conversations throughout the night. Similarly, and I know these are niggles, but the automobiles on the adjacent highway and in-room refrigerator generate significant sound throughout the night. A lot of potential for a great place to stay. Unfortunately, for $136/night (with the taxes included) I hoped for more. Update: I was charged $113 (total including taxes) for the room. read more

Pleasantly surprised! All other places in the area didn't have any vacancies, so i glad to see there was a rooms still available. It was relatively quiet for the most part, but you could hear when people started moving around. It's also in a very convenient location, near the interstate, walmart and places to eat! Just recently stayed at this hotel for 4 days, nice people but the cleaning service is non existence. Did not clean my room or replace the towels the entire time of my stay. Asked the front desk who assured me they would but never came. Dirty bathroom from day one with a torn shower curtain that needs to be replaced. Very doubtful if I would use them again. read more

I have stayed at this hotel over 20 times. I have been rushed out of the room early by housekeeping. Housekeeping knocks for you to check out several hours before the checkout time. Back in June 2022 I stayed there due to a house fire and someone with a key walked into my room while I was naked with my boyfriend, i advised that I would call the police they begged me not to., they told me they would call me back after they ran the cameras and they "didn't know whom is was" coming into my room and x never called back nor compensated me for the issues as promised. This time I stayed visiting to be closer to my family, I was again rushed out of my room at 7am by housekeeping., check out time Is 11am , but with my gold elite status it's 2pm, according to my account. Feburary 22nd I expended my stay, instead of them charging my account for the $387 they charged my account for $698. I put just enough in my account to cover the amount I discussed with Michele, this charge over-drafted my account. I went down to the. Front desk to get help Michelle gave. Me attitude and told me she didnt charge me card. For that amount, I showed it to her and she still gave me attitude because I wouldn't come around the desk to look at the computer with her. They have refused to fix it, I spend 1 hour 30 min on the phone with guest services on February 25th trying to get my point or money back they told me they would have it fixed my feburary 27th., today is feburary 28th I just hung up with guest-services from a 2 hour 37 minute call, and they are saying they aren't giving me my money back for me to call my bank. They have ran 4 different cards over 15 times for several different amounts. I have contacted them for a refund or adjustment and they treat me as if I'm causing them issues. You don't have many hotel choices in Grenada, and this is one of them. Better then a lot of the motels that dot the main rode though town, but may not up par on quality of the other HIEs I have stayed in. The room felt a bit small and the sheets and towels were really rough. The water in town is not that great (buy bottled water, do NO^T drink tap in Grenada). Which is maybe why the linens were a bit stiff and scratchy. The breakfast was a bit more limited then what I have seen in other Holiday Inn Expresses, and hours a bit more restricted. It's not a truly bad place, just a bit below par as compared to other hotels of the same chain. Though a lot better then most of the motels that dot the town. So, not may options to do much better, just don't expect too much either. read more

Third hotel we tried as we stopped through on our trip home. The light for the sign was out so we weren't sure it was open but stopped anyway. The front desk guy was great and helpful. Our bathroom door was broken and he tried to make it right (we ended up just having him comp our rollaway instead of moving rooms). I've stayed here before and I will say that it was a decent hotel. I went to book an extra room for an upcoming visit as I had already made a reservation for one room but needed another and was given a totally different price and upon questioning why I was told that a mistake in price had been made with the prior reservation by April. Ok, cool I'll book the second at the higher rate no big deal but April proceeds to tell me that although she had misquoted the price she won't honor the price. I'm disappointed at the fact that it was clearly a mistake on her part as no misinformation was given on my part that she or the Hotel itself would not honor the price given. I would leave no stars were it possible. My company sends me around promoting its wares and I often, almost always go with Holiday Inn express.. Across several states and many different towns. Well... the new construction and movement of materials that kept me up all night isn't the reason I'm leaving this review - warning for good folks to stay away from. It was my sink. When your song backs up it's usually because the water in the drain is touching human body hair that has clumped up to the point that the water begins backing up. Backed up in a hurry this morning as I was getting ready for my busy day and got all over my stuff. Don't stay here. Chances are you'll be disappointed. I will however concede that the Applebees across the street was one of the best I'd eaten at.. They canceled my stay in the middle of a reservation because I had taken my clothes out of the room! Was the craziest thing I have ever experienced as they were booked up and I had to find somewhere else to stay. Nice rooms but definitely have an issue as far as staff goes. Hopefully it's cleared up as I would like to stay there again regardless of that because the rooms and beds are top notch. read more

Best hotel in Grenada. I've stayed here at least 10 times over the past few months. The rooms are clean and I love the comfortable beds and furniture. The staff is super friendly and very accommodating. It's close to a lot of good restaurants and to Grenada lake, where I like to go hiking. WiFi is fast. Zero complaints. read more

I going to agree with the other reviewer about not many choices in town and that it is better than some of the other in town. Each of the six rooms we had came with it own smell. One was so bad that my brother had to change rooms. Luckily mines smelled like peppermint and I am so glad it was some where else to eat breakfast beside the hotel. I thought the Holiday Inn name was still good. Not so here. The bathroom in my room was gross. Pink and black mold all over the bath tub and floor surrounding it. Totally unacceptable!!
