This is the most ghetto hotel I have ever stayed at in my life!!! We are on our way to the Outer banks and made reservations on the way. Well online it says it has a pool and in room jacuzzi/ tubs. After paying $180.00 for the night and tired from being at Busco Beach all day we arrive at this place and was totally baffled!!! The pool is greener than a swamp. Flys everywhere in the lobby and halls. Sketchy people in the parking lots and all. Definitely not a place you want to stay. I'm just hoping I have my truck, trailer and machine in the morning . $217 and the pool was closed for renovations But they didn't mention that while booking. Shower curtain hangs to the top of the tub so water gets EVERYWHERE. Whoever installed it is an idiot. Website also said that I was paying for a room with a jet tub but that has been removed as well. Way to expensive for the state of motel right now. We came for free wifi, free breakfast and a pool, hopefully we get a decent meal in the morning! The TV is Tiny. The key cards only work randomly. Our room is clean and spacious the bed is comfy and the front desk clerk is nice and apologized for discrepancies but we weren't offered a discount or anything. It's okay if you are in desperate need of a place to stay. But this hotel has problems. 1) Our room still had a dirty blanket on it. We found trash inside the blanket as we were sleeping. Including chewed candy. 2) Smell of pot coming in from other rooms made it unbearable. 3) Breakfast was a catastrophe. At 8am, there was nothing left. No cereal, no forks, nothing. All in all this is one of the poorest hotels I've ever stayed at. If you have an option, stay somewhere else. read more

We booked a room June 15 2013. This was the same day as the RIverside High School Graduation, Fathers Day Weekend, and a Horse Show. We arrived at 3pm expecting our room (King Suite) to be ready. (It was booked online a few days earlier, so there shouldnt be a problem) When we arrived, to check-in, the room was not ready for a good hour. Unfortunately, one of the washers broke and there was only one working one. On top of that, they were short staff (they even called in a person they fired prior to help) The housekeepers were unprofessional and were rather rude. One of them were talking about how bad the management were. We went to our room....expecting a clean room, and it wasnt. We had a kind suite with a whirlpool, AND THE WHIRLPOOL WAS DIRTY! On top of that, there were no hygiene products in the bathroom, and more towels than meets the eye....in a dirty bathroom? The shower was filthy, and we went to the local Wal-Mart to buy cleaning supplies for the bathroom. We went to the front desk that morning to complain, and he was supposed to take 10 dollars off the room, but the charge on the card was 20 dollars higher than the original price! So I have to call and dispute the charges. I will not be staying there again. I will stay at the Hampton instead. read more

We arrived around 2:45 expecting check in at 3:00. This (3:00 check-in) is also posted on all the entry way walls and their website as check in time. They were in no rush to allow Our family of 5 in our room. We have small children so the wait was frustrating! We waited almost 2 hours to get access to our room. The staff in the breakfast area were very kind and that's the most positive thing about the place. My other family members staying in the King room 331 found a large roach crawling up their wall. On Sunday as we were driving to our next stop I realized I had left my skin care items in the bathroom. I called and they blew me off until I told them I didn't believe anyone would have thrown these items away. I had a return call from someone asking for more details which I had already provided. I came to the hotel on my way back home on Tuesday evening to speak to them in person and hopefully retrieve my left over items. The person on duty had to "text" someone to ask about my call. After waiting 20 minutes for a reply we were told they didn't have my items. Now I am funding someone who works at this location skin care routine. I admit it was my fault I left the items but I question why they wouldn't have a policy to hold Left items at least 24 hrs. I question the honesty of the staff here. I hope they enjoy my R+F facial products. I also wonder why they wouldn't take customers calls and concerns more seriously about their personal items. I would not suggest you stay here. We are priority club members and have never been treated this way at a HIE. Very disappointing! read more

We were in town for an event in this small town. Our first room had issues with smell, obviously used to be a smoking room, so we requested to be moved. We were moved to a Jacuzi room, which was a plus for us and appreciated. The room smelled fine, and we had no major issues. The AC is a little loud, but after awhile you get used to it. The staff was great! From the staff at the front desk, the maids and other staff that upkeep the hotel, they were all wonderful. I guess being from up north from DC, great service is appreciated, because it does not happen a lot here. They were super kind and friendly, very helpful with information, and genuinely made us feel welcomed. We saw a couple of other hotels in the town, but if we ever come back we would definitely stay here. Thank you! read more

There were 5 of us here for work, 5 rooms for 21 days. The front desk staff Jashaun (not sure spelling) & the lady in the breakfast area were friendly. The girl in front desk was not friendly at all!!! Anyhow, I checked in Saturday. Work schedule was 3pm-midnight and I'm back at the hotel by 1am & sleep 2am. I am not up super early when they came knocking on the door at 9am. I didn't need my room cleaned everyday so I had do not disturb sign almost everyday. By Wednesday I needed some fresh towel & trash taken out. I told the maids my schedule & asked if they can come back at 1:30pm to which they said they would before they leave about 2-3pm. They also said they skipped my room because of the do not disturb sign, understandable. Thursday, same thing with no service. Friday morning, I didn't have the "do not disturb sign & they tried to open the door at 9am. I came out & asked to be cleaned at 1:30 pm. One of the ladies said ok & wrote it down on her clipboard. As I was leaving, I also spoke with the unfriendly girl who looked like she didn't want to be there if she can have someone service my room, to which she says ok. I came back Friday night & nothing!!!! The other 3 of the other 4 people with me also had their own problems. One in particular called because his hair dryer didn't work, when they did bring it, they slammed it on the counter because they were agitated that he had called & complained. Friday morning, 2 moved to the Hilton. Saturday morning, the remaining 3 checked out to Hilton 1 hour away as well. We also spoke to the manager as well, he was nice but too late. Basically they lost a lot of business & future business. We are here every year, 5 rooms 21 days. The only thing great about this hotel is that it is next to the Ribeye restaurant right behind it. read more

We are seasoned travelers and stay in many hotels. This particular night, all we needed was a place to sleep. We were on a ten day trip heading towards Florida. First off, the woman at the check in had only been working there for two weeks. The person who was training her and was supposed to be helping had left during her shift. The room seemed nice enough, until we noticed that someone's belongings were in the room, at which point we promptly left and went back down to the lobby. The woman who owned the purse wanted to get her belongings, but the front desk wouldn't let her. At which point there was a bit of a shouting match. Then we gave her the key for the room with her purse and she got it out of our previous room. The front desk then assigned us to a room with a king bed and a pull out (there were three adult sized people in this room). The room with the pull out was next to a lamp post, and there were no curtains in the window. We then decided to deal with it, and use the pull out couch. We unfolded it and found no sheets on the bed. Imagine, if you will, a chain link fence with a piece of fabric over it- that was the comfort of this bed. None of us could sleep on that! There were no other rooms and no manager on site for the entire weekend. Three adults had to sleep on one kind bed because we were desperate for sleep at this point... We left a formal complaint in writing for the manager. He never got back to us (this was 2+ weeks ago). The only redeeming quality of this place was that the people working the breakfast in the morning were very helpful and nice! This was the only good part of the experience. This hotel was the worst we stayed in for ten days. We'll stick with Hilton hotels for now. read more

Stayed for 5 nights recently. Lobby and grounds were very nice and seemed like it was a brand new hotel. Got king room on 2nd floor which seemed nice though there was the strong smell of air freshener. As the night progressed even though it was a non-smoking room the smell of cigarette smoke became obvious. Seemed to be coming through the bathroom vents. Twice during my stay no one from housekeeping emptied the trash, let alone provide fresh linens. Would not stay there again. read more

Do not stay here!!! I was given room 302 and it was infested with fleas. Not one, not two, BUT INFESTED! Quickly packed my stuff and went down to the front desk. The good employee at the desk gave me a new room on a different floor (the owner was standing there when I told them it was infested with fleas and requested a new room). Then I just wanted to take a shower and go to bed. (When most people would have left the hotel) I got to my new room 239 and went to take a shower and had to rush out because the water had, after 7-8 minutes, backed up to my mid shin. The water wasn't draining. I went down and talked to the girl at the front desk who was very helpful, and who called the owner who was staying in the hotel that night. After telling him that it was the customer that had had the flea infestation, he would not show his face and deal with the issue. He would not come down and talk to me because he was sleeping. The desk and other employees are excellent, but the owners are inexcusable. Lousy piece of shit who blames his employees for a problem. That was obviously an owner issue, terrible ownership. First off, I'm not sure what the name of this place is. We booked and paid for a room through Expedia at the Williamston Inn and Suites, however, finding the Williamston Inn and Suites on Yelp isn't possible. From the address listed, this hotel is the one we stayed at on July 1, 2011. When we checked in we thought it was a brand new hotel, just opening up. When we talked to the front desk, she told us that it was built in 2002, but was being changed into a Holiday Inn Express. Whatever the name, we don't care, we were very pleased. Yes, there was construction going on so things were in disarray in the lobby area, but our room was fantastic. Our room turned out to be a mini suite with a private living area with its own TV and stereo. The bath room was spacious and clean as well as the rest of the room. I don't know if it was because they were in the middle of updating or if it was just a slow night but we nearly had the entire hotel to ourselves. All of this and a great price made this stop one of our best on this vacation! read more

Omg....do not stay here. I Made a reservation for a weekend . I reserved my 2 rooms with a check card and I told the agent I would be paying with my credit card or cash upon arrival. When I arrived I presented my credit card to the front desk agent who ran my credit card for two rooms and told me that she had the approval. The next morning I checked my bank statement online and one room was charged to the credit card and one room was charged to the check card. Spoke with the lady at the front she was very helpful and reverse the charges to my check card and we paid cash for the room. We left out for the day and return to my son's room with two double beds, one bed is made and has been changed, the other bed the housekeeper had taken the sheets and blankets off, threw pillows in corner, threw all towels and washcloths in the corner, did not empty trash, did not clean bathroom... Nothing was done. I called the front desk and a lady who told me that she does not do housekeeping did make the bed, provide clean bath towels and washcloths for my children. When I asked how I will be compensated for this huge inconvenience, did I mention this was almost 730 p.m.? I was told I would have to call back on Monday morning to speak to someone about this problem. I've been called Guest Relations who told me they would help me solve this issue, after they spoke to the front desk and was told some type of life they told me I had to speak to the general manager on Tuesday and that there was nothing else they could do. This is the worst holiday in express I have ever stayed at and I would not recommend that anyone staying at this hotel. They are ghetto dirty and do not care about the guest at all and they have very poor customer service read more

Stayed at hotel during 2012 Labor Day weekend. Prior stayed back in May 2012 had a pretty good stay. We got 2 jr suites both times. The second stay hotel service went way down. Saw bug in bed 1 st night and was so tired from travel we just went to bed. Bathroom was not clean either. When I told staff in morning they were rude and unapologetic. All other hotels were booked in area, so I asked if they could spray. Our last night saw another bug in bathroom. Our second room was also dirty and let out couch was nasty.
