This was the best one I've stayed at! Hands down. I'm not exaggerating when I say the room itself was on par with a full service Marriott. Bonus: the parking lot was super well lit! I felt totally safe coming and going to walk my service dog. And the staff were lovely too! While the hotel has the same footprint as every other Fairfield, this one feels so fresh, new, clean, and with a contemporary twist on the classic Fairfield brand standards that we're all used to. Really enjoyed not having to check in and being able to go directly to my room with the mobile key actually functioning for once. Breakfast was same as it is at every other Fairfield.

Rooms are traditional and nothing spectacular but they are clean, well kept and they smell nice. The king suite has an extra seating area with a couch and work station which is nice. Two big tv's if that's matters and a small fridge and plenty of storage and plugs for devices. Near this hotel is a variety of fast food restaurants, Flyjng J gas station, Walmart, Bomgars, Starbucks and a quick five minutes to downtown McPherson. You can still get a room for $94/night on occasion but rarely over $130/night. Breakfast is to avoid because it's all processed but there is a decent gym and a pool which I have never used. There is a small concessions area near the front with a very limited selection of food and sundries. Angel is the manager and she is great to work with groups and deliver great customer service.

The ac unit in our room was spewing black dust, fuzz and ash all over the bed every day. It was bad and really needs to be cleaned!! That's kind of the issue with this place, everything needs a deep cleaning. Pool and spa- 8 stars. It was nice and we enjoyed the hot tub! Breakfast was exactly what you would expect for a hotel. The breakfast was nice and the area was clean. Noise level here was terrible and we found it difficult to sleep. I think it's due to the cheep/thin windows. We were kept awake all night by freeway noise. This place is RIGHT NEXT to a major freeway, so it's jake breaks all night long. And then you'll wake up to voices in the hall outside your room because there are gaps in the door frame letting in all the noise from the hallway. The noise level here is the main reason for the 2 star rating.

She wasn't in the back, she came from down a hallway, reeking of cigarette smoke, so we assumed she was out smoking. Disgusting.

(Side note: If you're over 5'2", you're going to have a hard time in the shower. At 5'9", I towered over the showerhead.) When the toilet broke, we were offered the use of the bathroom in the empty room next door. We were not given a key to the room, but just had the door propped open so we could access the bathroom. When I checked out, I was told that the problems had been solved when we "changed rooms". Nevermind that, without the room key, we couldn't really use the room. Nevermind that the second bathroom was also dirty (I don't want to know if that was vomit, feces, or just dirty water spattered on the wall). That was their solution. Sometimes, the cheapest room is all you need. But be aware, if you're paying more than $30-$35 a night to stay here, you're getting ripped off.

Instead the hotel owner said he would wash them for me.....for $10 per small load! What a joke. - finally, and I'm merely making an important observation: do not stay on the ground floor if you don't like Indian cooking. The owners are Indian and appear to live in two of the rooms on the ground floor. The whole time I was there, my room smelled of curry and Indian food. Unfortunately for me, I do not care for Indian cuisine. There are lots of hotels in McPherson, Kansas. Don't waste your money in this one!

Should have just spent the extra for a nice clean room elsewhere. Stayed for a week and the office was never open, never cleaned my room, never picked up my dirty towels for clean ones even after leaving them outside my door all day. Lesson learned. Don't stay here!!!
