I write about other out of the way small town convenience gas-stores and check back later to see after five years its' still just my one review. What would Yelp do without me? That brings us to this mass of pavement in Hinkley, a busy spot on I-35 for people most likely traveling between Duluth and St Paul. The last numbered pump was 26 which was my first choice, yes first. Read On. Pump is beeping and won't reset, no intercom that I could find to call in. Move to another pump. 25, diesel only, back one more 24. Tells me I have to use a credit card with a chip..yes It does have a chip! Try again, "card declined". Wait wait wait for reset, can't see anything on the grey screen. Bang it timed out and reset, try another card and this time it works. In other locations I've had their pumps lock up because I couldn't get out of the first mode asking for a rewards number. There is supposed to be a skip button but how can we see it if the SCREEN IS GREYED OUT? Head inside for coffee which is now freshly made by the machine which all the gas stations and small stores have. I think I miss employee made coffee fresh every 30 minutes kept in air pots. I realize this is a huge saving on employees time. Fresh sandwiches to go and all is well. Do I dare try my first card with the cashier? Nah, good ol' fashioned green bills work just fine. The matronly woman was happy and friendly and I'm glad she didn't call me "Hon".

Had to try one those, A+ excellent caramel, perfectly baked roll completely and throughly covered with caramel and walnuts. Also got a gluten free chocolate chunk and m&m cookie, outstanding cookie. The staff was helpful at recommending the hot rolls and gluten free cookies. Cool little place on side of restaurant.

Highway 61Hinckley,…read moreMN 55037 (320) 384-6193, despite having logos for the Earnify rewards program plastered all over their gas pumps, I was told (after filling my tank and going in to pay) that they only participate in the program if you use a co-branded BP credit card or if you register your credit card with the program, which my bank specifically advises against due to lax privacy security and the risk of a credit card breach. You cannot enter your Earnify ID or phone number to get the discount at the pump and they won't apply it at the inside cash register like they do at literally every other BP. The manager (or owner) was unwilling to make an accommodation. Of course, this makes me suspicious of the entire corporation and it's rewards program, and I will avoid BP in the future in favor of their local competitor, primarily Cenex, which in my experience is a first class operation.

So, this brings me to today.... Circle K has lost $91,375 in purchases from just me, since then, & still no place to lock my expensive bike & alternate "green" & healthy form of transportation. There for I am reduced to having to now boycott & picket, this business, & bring in as many locals who also agree on this subject/concern. Picture every person I recruit, not spending this money & going to the "other" conveince store. If you don't care or respect your locals, we don't need you here. Fair Warning!
