Were in Columbia visiting family. Drove from Maryland and i didn't have time to get my son a haircut. Most shops are closed on Sunday/Monday and due to The Christmas holiday. This shop was open today (Sunday) thank goodness! I saw a couple reviews on here and on google and decided to rush over. It's in a convenient location where trains pass by every 10mins (didn't bother me). We were greeted upon entrance and waited about 5-7 mins until it was my son's turn. Nino the barber did a great job despite the obstacles my son was giving her. She even took her time and was patient with him. I've posted a picture and a video separately to see his cut. It was a terrible experience. He pushed my hairline so far back that you could see my surgery line. Me having a scar from a brain surgery is the last thing I want to see after getting my hair cut. I could notice when he made a mistake not once did he ask if I wanted him to keep going. So to try to hide the mistake he continued to push my hair line. I AM EXTREMELY MAD. It seems that "old heads" are no longer the people I want to get my hair done by. I haven't met one man to line my hair line up properly with out pushing my hair line back. The sad part is I saw 3 gentleman who had perfectly normal hair cuts... for that being said I will not be coming back. I will stick to getting my hair cut by women. read more

I came in for a quick haircut by a place that was close to my current location, my Yelp search did not disappoint in offering this place to me. When I came in I also was lucky enough to not have a line in front of me so that also makes it a better experience. The barbers were very friendly and very responsive to my arrival. I like that, and hate places that don't even acknowledge your arrival. I met the right barber to give me the right haircut within the right time. Thanks for a great visit and I will keep returning for my visit. I love the haircut that I received and will keep recommending this location to anyone that asks me for a place to go. After visiting several shops in the Irmo area with my foster son, we decided to make the drive to Columbia based on several referrals by friends. The price is right, and the cuts are detailed and clean. This shop is neat, and the staff is attentive. I also appreciate the signs that ask customers not to cuss or use bad language. PLEASE don't go here. It's safe to say that this place gave the WORST haircut my bf has gotten. In all honesty, a toddler could cut their own hair better than this. My boyfriend and I came here in hopes of finding a decent barber for him but unfortunately we left with the opposite of that. Barber didn't know how to cut his type of hair; he obviously didn't know how to maneuver his hair. When he was done, his hair was CHOPPY and completely UNEVEN, NOT ONE SIDE of his hair was even. My bf didn't even want to ask for him to fix it because he was scared the barber would ruin it even more!! When we got home, I tried my best to even it out myself. After inspecting, it became clear that the barber didn't even check his work considering the fact that EVERYTHING WAS DIFFERENT AT LENGTHS!!! My bf asked for an inch off the top and he cut OVER THREE INCHES in some areas, and NONE in others. I wish I was lying when I say it was truly horrible. read more

They changed location to 515 Meeting St. It's still a great shop. Ask for Jett. He's recently out of the Army and two tours of Afghanistan. Good man with years of experience as a barber. I'm visiting from California. His work is on par with my guys back home. Family friendly place. read more
