The range is hidden behind some farm area off the main road, so be sure to keep your eyes open for the small dirt road that will lead you to the range. As soon as you enter the gates, you'll see the pistol range and if you head straight in, you'll see the longer distance range. You'll need to be a member or with a member to access the range. All the members I interacted with during the match were very down to earth, friendly, and outgoing! There were also some newer shooters and the members were very helpful in making sure they felt comfortable.

A lot of the delay is the mounds of paperwork that the state requires you to present and fill out. Bottom line is the bad guys don't go into gun shops and complete the legal process so us good folks suffer. I've been in most of the gun shops in the Stanislaus County area as well as the Bay Area. Stage Stop can give them all a run for their money. Great selection. I didn't shoot in the range but I took a look and it's clean and well maintained. I looked at their products while I was waiting the prices seem fair. I will definitely recommend this shop to my friends.

Ammo is more expensive than other places in the area. They also don't allow any firearm that THEY deem may not be "compliant". If I have all the correct paperwork for my firearms and have legally acquired them, I don't see why I'd be rejected. Will keep giving them a try for now.
