We have used Holliston Meadows for more than 15 years over which time we had two Goldens, an Aussie Doodle and a rescue Lab mix. The staff throughout has been professional, friendly and most importantly, truly caring for our dogs. I can't imagine going any other place for daycare or grooming. Mookie, our Aussie, loved to go for daycare and would jump out of the car when we arrived and run straight to the front door. Mikaela was his favorite and he would go right to her in the reception area (or anywhere else). Maya is a fantastic groomer and always had Mookie looking sharp. Our rescue was skittish about going inside so Maya would come out to the car to clip her nails. Firstly, I was already working on alternative locations due to my dog suddenly developing severe separation anxiety and aversion to his crate after taking him here. One day when I picked him up I asked to see where he was being kept and found that it was essentially a kennel daycare with limited free range for half the day or more. This place requires a flu vaccine, after we got the first dose, my dog was showing issues with his front legs so we were working on diagnosing that and found he had elbow dysplasia and some shoulder OCD. When we first started bringing our dog here, we essentially got daily email reminders to provide them with my dogs full vet records, apparently they don't send reminders for expired vaccine records. My wife is away this week and I am solely responsible for my young children and dog, the last thing I expected was this daycare to be the most challenging part of the week. I dropped him off on Monday and Antonia confronted me immediately about his 3 week out of date flu vaccine record, I told them we could get it the following Monday. Tuesday, Antonia confronts me again saying my dog has to be isolated without the records, not having much choice I stated my objection but complied. Today, Wednesday, I was met with an extremely cold Antonia but nothing was said which is better than the confrontational attitude I was getting. Now, end of day, the kennel manager Mikaela sends my wife an accusatory email stating I lied to them and he is not welcome anymore. I'd like to thank this daycare for failing me and my dog. Thank you for the separation and crate anxiety my dog now has, thank you for not giving us grace while we work through a difficult medical issue with my dog, thank you for the horrible attitude and most of all thanks for not giving us an opportunity to fulfill your stringent record requirements. Send your dog somewhere else, unless you like your dog sharing a cage with another dog half the day. Send your dog someplace that values reliability and will send a reminder if their records are showing out of date. Antonia, Mikaela, do better. read more

After using Holliston Pet Meadows for years we will never go there again. I dropped my dog on Friday at 3PM. I was told I had to leave her until Monday I was not allowed a Sunday pickup. I arrived Monday at 10:15 AM. I received a bill for 4 days. When I questioned what was going on they informed me check out is 10AM and just like a hotel a minute late and you are charged a full extra day. I said I have spent 2000 nights in a hotel in my life checked out late hundreds of times and never been charged a penny. I have always liked the service but after spending thousands of dollars here I do not appreciate being taken advantage of. read more

We lost our dog in March, but got another puppy. we had used the Meadows in the past and always loved the staff. This new puppy was trained by Andrew and shes doing great. Hands-down the "best of breed" in the Metrowest area. We have a St. Bernard (Foster), who loves the folks at Holliston Meadows, and loves his visits there. He gets excited to be dropped off. This is unique, as we have tried for several years different places, home-sitters, walkers etc and that always stresses him out. The staff is courteous, kind, and professional and it is so much more relaxing to travel knowing that our furry friend is in such good hands. I have been taking my Dachshund Oskar to Holliston Meadows since he was 5 months old, he is now 8.The staff from Ann the manager to Laura, Patty, and Emily, reception, to grooming, Kayla and Maryann to Mikeala the kennel manager and her staff Andrew, Ashley and Kevin are wonderful with the animals. The facility is spotless. My dog is very well socialized thanks to the above mentioned staff. The staff will go out of their way to help in any way they can. I for one am in a position where i cannot get my dog in or out of the car due to a back injury. The staff has kindly helped me out by coming to get Oskar and bringing him out at pickup time. The location is great so we send out pup to daycare on occasion. The staff is friendly and they are always able to accommodate. We can send him to daycare and get him groomed all in the same day. I also like knowing that there is an option to do an extended stay, if we are traveling and can't find a dog sitter. It has taken me over a year to grow my dog's facial hair. I have a top knot for him and always keep his mustache long to prevent eye infection. My husband dropped him off today at the Meadows with full instruction not to cut his facial hair as well as his top knot. Unfortunately they trimmed the hair near the eyes and I know this will be a source of problem going on. Nothing that can be fixed for the next 8 months. Poor dog is going to suffer. We've boarded our two 1 year old pitbull mix siblings here a few times over the past few months and have been very happy with the service. After a horrible first day care experience at another facility (our boy was bitten by another dog and we weren't notified) we visited several facilities before we would board our pups for the weekend. We walked into Holliston Meadows and not even 2 minutes into the tour my husband whispered to me "yea, this is where we are boarding them". The facility is exceptionally clean, bright, the kennels are of varying sizes, and they were very accomodating to our pups moods- they have a hard time being separated but tend to rough house and wrestle when together. Holliston Meadows put them in a kennel together for a bit, and also put them in individual kennels across from one another, so they would be separate but still see each other. We opted not to have group playtime, but always add a playtime for just the two of them, and every time we pick them up they are so exhausted they sleep all day long. I'm pretty sure our boy- who's a bit of a nosy one- doesn't sleep well just because of all the extra smells and sounds but they are always in good condition, clean and free of scratches. Now we don't even think twice about boarding them there, and I get a little sad that my babies go running in without even looking back- not even a "bye mom, we'll miss you!" read more

So disappointed with this organization! Called to book an overnight and left several messages which were never returned. Went through on line booking to confirm and never received confirmation. Spent $97.00 At the vet to get kennel cough and canine flu shots in preparation. Now that was a waste of money. Also had to miss an event as a result. I do NIT recommend these people. read more

Can I choose zero stars? Took my dogs there for daycare for six months or so. Nothing special. One day I walked in to drop them off and saw one of the employees yelling and swearing at a dog. Needless to say, I never went back. read more

I brought my two dogs here a couple years ago (maybe things have changed) and had an awful experience. I dropped them off with kibble, canned food, and had paid for extra services (outside time for one dog and lap time for the other). They were also groomed while they were there. The only good thing I can say is my flight was delayed and they closed at 6pm on Sunday and two women stayed until I could get there around 620 to get my dogs. When I picked up my dogs one had a nail bleeding from the grooming (I get it - it happens, but I mentioned it because he was bleeding on the floor, on me when he jumped on me, there was blood on the bed she was carrying from their cage - she said "oh I didn't even notice"). Then they handed me back a FULL container of kibble. So... what did my dogs eat for 5 days?? I spent a lot of time researching the best dog food I could find and didn't want them eating some other crap. Aside from the fact that anyone who owns a dog should know you can't change their food abruptly without them getting sick. It was late and I was tired and they were closed so I didn't even ask I just rushed out of there. When I got home I noticed my goldendoodle had cuts all over him from where he was clipped during grooming. I'll be honest - he was a little matted when I dropped them off, but you don't cut his skin. Also, the bottoms of both ears were crusted in blood because she had cut too close and had cut his ears. It took him about a month for all his skin to get back to normal. He just kept scratching the areas she had cut him. I haven't been able to board my dogs since this experience. I'm terrified to leave them anywhere. I wouldn't recommend this place for boarding OR grooming. read more

Our dog goes to day care 5 days a week . She loves it. On Mondays when we drop her off she can hardly contain herself she is so excited. I can not say enough about the staff. They are helpful, great with our very energetic dog and go out on a limb to help. The Meadows has been a god-end to us since she was a puppy which is 7 years ago. read more

Our dog absolutely loves Holliston Meadows! She enjoys daycare about 3 days a week and is typically picked up and dropped off by the Meadows transportation service. The staff is very professional and SO friendly and our dog absolutely loves them! I am so glad to have such a wonderful place for my dog and would highly recommend it to anyone. read more
