They also do pre-planted baskets and pots all year and their indoor Christmas pots were beautiful and put a smile on all my family's faces. There were some hardcore Sunday shoppers here and rightly so this place is beautiful. Full on country side vibe with every possible flower and shrub imaginable! I got my trolley and causally stilled around the centre settling on buying some sunflowers and other really hard to pronounce types of flowers for my mom and dads front garden. I have no idea who named some of these varieties of flowers....but they went innnnn...I won't lie a lot of them I couldn't pronounce but I gave it a good go..with varying results.... The flowers here are super cheap too the sunflowers were like 1.50 each and most pots are below £3...bargains galore!! The only thing to note is the tills are busy...people are flocking for a wide for those bargain blooms so set out an afternoon for this trip it's definitely going to take you a a few to see everything and pay....but that's the vibe surely...loved it.

Chapmans is the best garden centre in the local area; there is a good variety of plants, shrubs and trees, which are reasonably priced and very healthy. The tree section in particular has a wide variety of plants, more impressive than most bigger garden centres. The members of staff are cheerful and helpful, and genuinely understand about the plants they are selling, which is a novelty for a garden centre! It also sells mainly plants and plant related products, rather than the myriad of 'tat' that most garden centres sell. The Topiary Tea Rooms is set in a small wooden building, but has a beautiful outlook onto a sun-soaked patio where wild birds feed very relaxing. They only serve drinks and cakes, but I would definitely recommend the cheese scones. As the weather steadily improves, I would heartily recommend Chapmans as a place to go to rejuvenate your garden.

If ever their is a problem with any plants there is never an issue with exchange, which I never had. Kevin is top guy, as is all the staff and their knowledge of all plants is so very helpful. Whenever we visit we always come away with some plant regardless of size, and most important for us, a great cup of tea / coffee and a lush scone or cake all home baked. What can I add " Well done staff and management at Chapmans " You won't be disappointed.

This place is little and cute, it's not in any way a huge garden centre, almost just a little courtyard with a few varied plants and a surprisingly large array of the sorts of garden ornaments that I just don't understand but I know so many people buy. On hearing that this had become number one on trip advisor, we decided to check this place out. The tea rooms have a cute setting, in, I guess a sort of converted glasshouse/barn with the counter up to the left when you walk in. You can get soups, pies, roasts, some bits are pricey, but others reasonable. There's also a couple of reasonable looking gluten free options. Our order to the (kind of grumpy) lady at the counter amounted to a cappuccino, lemon cake, chocolate cake and, being the fiend for them I am, a "special" milkshake. Totting up to around £15. You can also get afternoon tea at £12.99 or £16.99 per person. We took our order to a table on a tray, and waited about five minutes for the milkshake, which kind of made me expect the thick, creamy goodness I always crave. I understand part is personal preference, (If you check out the management responses on trip advisor to negative reviews, prepare to feel very uncomfortable! I know we don't like criticism, but surely it's not the best thing to passive aggressively tell customers that they're wrong?), but you kind of expect "a milkshake made with ice cream" to be made with ice cream, not just have a scoop of ice cream in flavoured milk. It was quite false-banana tasting (yes, I know, management, personal preference), there was a good splurge of squirt cream (UHT, not fresh) on top which was good, but the sweets that were on top seemed a really odd choice- a blue lace, an inch cut of a rainbow lace, some silver dragees, star sprinkles and a a couple of chewy bottles and a couple of mini marshmallows, yes, personal preference blah blah, but they were definitely a bit on the "I wonder if people order these very often because these marshmallows and laces are solid!" side. That being said, my companion thought her coffee was fine enough. To the cake! You pay £3.99 a slice, which simultaneously seems expensive and not, I know it isn't really, I don't know, I'm confused... The portions, are decent, they are good, deep cakes and they do hand out a reasonable slab- but, I feel like the reviews must be people being excited about portions, the lemon cake was a lovely flavour, but a little dry, and the chocolate cake was more dry, and tasted overly powdery-cocoa-y. Everything kind of had the homemade to look like factory feel- I think it was quantity over quality. The place has potential, it's a lovely setting, and probably not a bad place to take your Nanna, but I don't think I would personally go again. I really don't understand how this can be number one on trip advisor, even though thinking that makes me feel like a bit of a k**b.

I can't lift it, and I can't winch it up, its entirely inoperative - it's basically a steel wall. OK, fine, these things happen. The problem is, this happened the day before I was due to have a new driveway laid. Work had to be postponed because they need access to the driveway under the door in order to complete the work. Another problem is that I now I have £10,000 of bonded resin that's just sitting in the rain on the pavement outside my house, not getting laid. I'd move it all into the garage but, you know, the door doesn't work. Obviously, this isn't ideal. Quite an urgent fix but, despite this being a complete failure, locking me out of my garage, preventing me from completing other, essential, work, they've shown absolutely no interest in getting the repairs done quickly. I've explained to them half a dozen times that it is absolutely essential that somebody comes out to repair the door as soon as possible, I've begged, I've pleaded, but apparently, my address just isn't on their rounds next week. Which sort of suggests they do repairs so often they actually have rounds, and with that being the case its kind of just too much trouble to come and fix my door. They were quite happy to take a, frankly pretty outrageous, £125 call-out fee from me in advance before even booking a slot, though, so that's nice. After a week of trying and failing to get my door sorted, and repeatedly explaining to the point of exhaustion that this absolutely needs to be fixed as a priority, they put the owner on the phone, for what it was worth, which was nothing. He should definitely not be customer facing. He did absolutely nothing to remedy the situation, and accused me of speaking to him 'disrespectfully' when I stopped him from giving me the exact same, unhelpful, information that I'd been given for about the fourth time that morning. At one point, when I suggested that he look a bumping somebody in the calendar, he told me that he wasn't prepared to inconvenience 'paying customers' in order to fix my issue, which I think should tell you absolutely everything that you need to know about the standard of STS's aftercare service. Let me explain something to you real quick, my guy: You earn respect. You don't get given it freely. Neither you, nor your company has done anything to earn mine. Then he tried to convince me his company is incredible, he's sold many, many, doors (why do I care?) and that somehow its mine/the developers fault that the door they fitted failed after only 16 months, and then devolved the conversation into a shouting match. 'Come and see my shop! You don't know what happened to the door before you moved in!' - Again, I don't care. I just want the thing fixed - 'You didn't even get the door fitted!' he bellowed repeatedly and unhelpfully. I just want my door fixed, fella. Hell, even just open would have been a result. There is absolutely no point telling a customer with a broken garage door how great your garage doors are. As an addendum. The company that I'm using to do my driveway, who have absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with my garage door, have rung me this afternoon to say they're sending somebody out to see if they can repair it this weekend. It's not their door. They aren't charging me. That's how you do customer service. To sum up my personal experience with STS. Their doors are unreliable and don't last beyond a year and a half. When the do break, their customer service is absolutely atrocious, literally the worst I've ever dealt with. They've no interest in even the short-term care of their product. Their callout fees are extortionate (God only knows what they actually charge for repair). Their warranties are entirely inadequate. They're unhelpful, uncaring, and the owner is has absolutely no respect or time for his customers.
