I was a bit obsessed with the film The Craft when growing up... as well as Practical Magic. Needless to say I love me a bit of witchcraft and astrology, but there are so few shops dedicated to these practices! Hollywood Babylon is one of the few in Melbourne, specialising in tarot, crystals and 'alternative apparel'. Let's face it... what do you buy for the gal that has everything? A tarot reading obviously. What I like the most about Hollywood Babylon is that they also hold regular classes for beginners in witchcraft - both in groups and one-on-one sessions for those who are more hardcore. Pricing is reasonable with a 3-month tarot insight setting you back $60. It's a beautiful shop filled with strange and wonderful things... Definitely have a peak inside even if it doesn't sound like your cup of tea. It's a fascinating space! read more
