Go somewhere else Pros: the place is cute and clean Cons: Many. My Aunt had a party there several years ago and she loved the owner who is no longer there. Now it is under new ownership it seems. I had a party for my mothers birthday and unfortunately, I had to deal with this unorganized and unprofessional team. 1. They refuse to answer their phone, all communication is via text and therefore I was penalized for the lack of clarity because I was not able to communicate with these people effectively. Throughout the time that I had my contract with them, I attempted to make several phone calls, only to receive my response via text, the person said it is because they get a lot of "robocalls" or "scam calls" Not my problem, get a damn business phone. 2. I have been making monthly payments towards the total amount and paid off the balance well before the day of the party. Unfortunately, a few weeks before the party I was reminded to pay off the balance. Ok, no big deal to clarify that it has already been paid off, but this started a pattern of their behavior of being unorganized, unclear and the client, myself having to pay heavily for it. 3. The party was to seat 80 people. Prior to the party, I asked about the table options, round vs long, how many people per table, etc. It was determined that I would need 8-10 long tables. I was also sent 2 pictures of the entrance and asked my preference for set up (all via text). I liked the entrance to be free so people can move about and dance, assuming the tables would be on the other side. The day of the party there were absolutely NO TABLES. When my aunt arrived to set up they told me it would be another $150 to move the furniture around again. This was so confusing to me, not only was I unable to reach these people by phone, they never had my tables set up after we agreed on the long tables then charged me to move the furniture around and set up the tables. 4. The airconditioning does NOT work. 5. This was the very first time I have ever done anything like this so I asked for advice and assistance. One service that was needed was photography/videography. The man that works there said that he can provide this for me for roughly, I believe it was somewhere between 100-300$. Says he has done this before. Now photography does not mean just snapping pictures. When I finally received the pictures that this "photogropher" shot throughout the night, they were of such poor quality that I had to ask my friends and family for their pictures from their cell phones. The pictures were extremely dark. How the hell did he figure these were well done? Although there were numerous pictures, they were so dark and the quality was horrible. I canNOT believe this man told me this is something he could do and provided such crapy pictures. Do not offer services for which you are unable to perform even mildly well. There are dark shadows at the bottom of almost all of the pictures (Probably his hand). 6. Clean up is included in the price. But we had a lot of alcohol left. Instead of just taking the things that we brought, my cousins and other family decided to help tidy a little. Some people have been drinking but by any means were they disorderly. While my friends and family helped to pour some water from the vase and cups down the drain, some of the water spilled on the floor and we did not realize this. It wasn't until I overheard the lady making slick remarks under her breath like this isn't helping us at all, and making fun of my family with her partner that I realized someone accidentally spilled water on the floor near the sink. The did not directly say anything, the behavior continued and the mocked my family for trying to help. The spill was not much because it was easily....EASILY addressed with a mop. 7. Gross behavior, unprofessional, poor communication, misleading, I will never have an event there, attend an event there, or recommend this place to anyone unless it is run by another group of people. read more

We got married on the beach, in Hollywood, on May 18. It was phenomenal. Lee and crew at Hollywood Events took care of the arch, chairs, and other stuff on the beach. I even think they arranged for the great weather we had. The reception was held in their main space. It was tight but they made it happen. (We started with 70 guests, ended up with 101). We couldn't have asked for a better crew or space. We even used their golf cart and little bike rickshaw to move folks around. It was a perfect day thanks to Lee and the crew at Hollywood Events. I can't recommend them enough. read more

this place is horrible, they booked me an appointment never showed up. then they let me know that the dates I needed were not available the day of my appointment. the manager then said she forgot the dates of my event So she didn't call me. I wouldnt count on them. read more

We hosted my mom's surprise casino party at Hollywood Events and everyone had a great time! I think the decor fit in perfectly with our theme too!Lee and Nichole were great to work with and were very responsive and flexible during the planning process. Nichole especially went above and beyond the day of the event to make sure everything was set up in time and even bartended the event for us. read more

The venue is nice but the owner is difficult to work with and the caterer she recommended was unprofessional. Book at your own risk!

This place has the potential to be amazing, but the owner is difficult to say the least. We were supposed to have seating for 70, but when we arrived there was barely half the number of seats available. She has the audacity to blame us for not being there to set up on time and that's why the seating was not ready, however, they didn't even have enough tables to provide us and had to scramble to find ample chairs for us to use. Had we not brought our own tables we would not have had enough seating for our guests. The bartender and waitress were great, but the owner lacks basic communication skills and tends to leave out important details. She makes you feel like an inconvenience when you try to contact her about anything to do with the event and talks down to you any chance she gets. Overall the evening was wonderful, but I would warn against doing business with Debra and would definitely choose an alternative venue if given the chance to do it again. read more

Weddings are no easy task, from getting the right place to making sure the food is well and all that perfection is done right. So my cousin was getting married and my aunt and I were tasked with choosing the location. We wanted somewhere that was affordable and could host the wedding ceremony, the reception, and a mini after party, yet have the necessary amenities that we needed. After shopping around, our final decision was made on Hollywood Events as we instantly saw value for our money. It was a central location with enough spacing for the wedding ceremony and the reception. The environment was clean and fresh and to my knowledge, I would say it is the best wedding hall I have been to in the longest while. My co-workers and I are even planning a new year's ball party and we know for sure this will be our location. I've used Hollywood Events on 3 occasions. When I call Debra to plan an event she's clear with information on the facility .She made the event hall available for us to decorating and set up early in the afternoon so we weren't stressing before our event .The interior of the venue is glamorous throughout, chandeliers, a classic bar. There's a sound system and a throne that the guest of honor can sits in. Debra went out of her way to make it work for me and to make the event a success.
