I'd never had my legs waxed before shaving always seems like much less hassle and a pain free option which certainly always seems the best but it's true what they say - no pain no gain. The girl who was doing my treatments was really friendly and I was really pleased with the shape that she got my eyebrows, I've been to beauticians before and they just make you look like you've got a couple of skinny caterpillars but she just gave me a nice shape following the natural shape of my eyebrows. As for my legs, they weren't half as painful as I'd have imagined and the torture was over quite quickly thank goodness! After the treatments the girl applied some nice soothing lotion that also smelled lovely too. From the outside this place looks absolutely tiny, but this is quite deceiving as inside you will find the receptions area and a longish hallway which leads to the nail room and two beauty rooms. As well as beauty treatments there are also more relaxing treatments on offer such as facials, Indian head massage and hot stones massage. After looking at the prices they seemed very reasonable and much cheaper than some other beauticians. The clean, modern and fresh layout of the salon is really appealing and when I feel like treating myself I will definitely head down here for some relaxation. As well as splashing out on yourself this place is also fabulous for gift ideas. Who doesn't love receiving a massage voucher for a present? One of my friends always get her nails done here, and they aren't cheap at £40 each time so I usually chip in with a friend to get her this treatment for Christmas and birthdays, she always appreciates it as it's something she always gets done anyway. There was a little confusion as I hadn't specifically wanted either the 3pm or 3:20pm slot, I just booked them both for myself and my friend, however despite it making more sense for my friend to go in the first slot, they wouldn't change our times around. The room for the massage was nice, standard massage room really. Although they do have electronic beds to adjust the height, which I gather for shorter people than me (5ft 10) this would come in useful, plus it is heated. Although I did ask half way through for the heat to be turned off as I felt like I was being cooked...but that's just me and heat! The massage itself was good, she did as I asked and didn't shy away from the painful parts (no pain no gain)! A complementary facial had been included which was basic but relaxing. I advised her of my sensitive skin so she used the sensitive lotions, which still stung slightly, but I've had worse! Arriving back at reception my masseuse, Natalie, had left a postcard advising me to get more massages to help with the problem areas, which was sweet, and giving me another excuse to get more :) Based on my experiences alone I would recommend them, however my friend who was with me didn't have such a good time. She didn't have a heated bed, which was a shame since she is the heat lover, and her masseuse didn't follow her instructions and performed a relaxing massage rather than one that tackled the knots. Overall, I'd probably go back if I was in the area or couldn't get into a more local one. It's handy as it is in Silverburn, up the stairs to the left of Yo-Sushi/Debenhams, if you are there for some shopping too, and the premises is very modern and stylish. Price wise, it was £32 for half an hour of massage, with the complementary facial. It's a little on the pricer side, I guess due to it's location.

I chose the massage on the grounds that you should never miss the chance to get those tense muscles relaxed. My beautician, Lyn, was welcoming and put me at ease without being too familiar. I loved the facial and will certainly try and make it a regular treat. My skin definitely looked and felt better and the massage was amazing.

Love love love it!…read more After a tragic visit to a nail salon chain in the city centre, I was directed here by a friend. Entering, I found it bright, welcoming and friendly. The place was a-buzz with customers, who all were chatty and lively. When I sheepishly showed my badly done nails to my new nail tech, Fee, (who part owns the shop), she just tutted and said, 'Well, you've come to the right place!' I never felt, for the hour or so I was there, that I had to struggle with conversation. Everything was light and easy, and Fee was gentle and knowledgeable about what she does. In fact, the hour passed so quickly that I didn't even realise it; that's a good sign! And when I left, I felt like I'd made some good friends, rather than that feeling like I'd been through a conveyor belt. It may seem like a jaunt from the city centre, but it's worth it. The prices are great, they'll give you a discount if they can, and you'll find yourself looking forward to your next visit. If you pass up this opportunity, then you're just a fool. You can't get quality beauty like this anywhere else.

I have just left the salon and I am really upset with the service I have recieved…read more I had been to the salon before and really liked it. As we were up from London for Christmas I phoned straight away to book. This time the technician basically ignored me! She talked to everyone else in the salon but me. After a while I was so shocked I took to looking at my mobile, ceiling etc. I do think that even some of the other technicians felt I was really uncomfortable but said nothing. How easy would it have been to utter a - looking forward to Christmas? Done all your shopping? My nails are good but they will be done just as well elsewhere. A horrible experience!
