I was at a function last night and several people/actors/entertainers were talking about what a crooked person Camie is. From taking money upfront to pretending to be influential or having some control over finding work that entertainers can simply find themselves without Camie's help. Camie produces nothing. She just takes money and pretends to be a key player in and around the San Diego community. She is just full of empty promises with nothing to back her claims up. Signed with Camie back in 2008. She is a talent manager, not an agent. As such, you will sign an agreement and pay a lump sum up front. I more than got my money's worth. She will get you auditions, coach you on what and what not to do. She will recommend workshops that helped a little for me. What you will learn is YOU have to put in the work in the beginning, sometimes work for free or low pay, and it requires investments on your part to get going. Paying for quality head shots. Signing up and paying for the Casting Networks website. YOU have to submit for gigs as well. She will help you write your resume but again, there is a lot you need to do on your own. A great way to get started in the business and learn what to do. Once you get an agent, you can back off on self-submitting. I wound up getting two "under five" roles on soap operas, got cast in a featured role in a well-known reality show, and many commercials. I eventually transitioned back into a full-time regular job, BUT did community theatre in San Diego County, which really honed my skills and gave me confidence. As I approach retirement, I plan to pursue acting full-time again. The negative Yelp reviews on Camie and HTA are from those that are not willing to put in the hours and do the work. read more

I saw this company advertise a lot on Instagram and in my San Diego acting circuit, unfortunately when I reached out, the lady asked me only 2 things, if I lived in Los Angeles and if I was Union. She told me that she could not represent any SAG AFTRA but non union only, as far as what I read on other reviews, she helped non union people booking commercials, yes 95% commercial nowadays are non union, I don't know how they can get away with that because it's a one time buy out, and you don't get anything later, also I read about how she got people booked on shows to get SAG eligible, oh good, then if they joined SAG, does that mean she will no longer represent them. Anywho this is not an agency per se, I have one of my friend told me she acted as her manager, I don't think there was a contract or any 10% involved for each booking, but if yes, maybe beware because most of the stuffs you get booked thru here might as well be on some other sites or casting directors which by Google you can find out by yourself. I had no luck finding any SAG franchise agency in San Diego, I guess I would rather pick LA. read more

I'm a producer who owns and operates a Video branding and marketing firm in San Diego. When I'm in need of hiring non-union talent I turn to Camie because she sends me a great variety of people that are new but are eager to learn. Truth be know we are not Hollywood and our productions in this area are usually non-union. With SAG/Aftra merge we have really been in a bind or hiring talent in these parts. This "agent" takes money up front, which is in violation of the CA Labor Code. She then showed up at my boyfriend's play after he became her client. She and her parents were bragging about finding him the (unpaid) role. Are you kidding? My mom found an advertisement in the Coast News this summer, and he immediately joined the cast...he was acting with the group for months before he even met Camie. What a scam. read more

I am a professional photographer and video producer and have been working in the San Diego area since 1989. Camie has offered to send me talent for my productions in the past, agents or reps who are scammers, wouldn't even offer sending any talent out to calls. What more can you ask for from an agent? She can't guarantee anyone work and can only refer talent to producers and directors. Not sure why others are calling this a scam. Maybe they have no clue how this industry works. read more

Scam!!! Their taking advantage of the hopes and dreams of people just to get over on them. They ask you for a 800$ dollar fee to send you to auditions. No real talent agency ask you for money because they would make money off yoi anyways. I dont know how these people sleep at night knowing that their taking peoples hard earned money for a scam. Browsing through pages on FB I came upon Hollywood Talent Associates. One look at their page and I can tell you I would not ever use any of their services. I came upon photos of a person they are promoting whom I personally know. The photos, which they just posted within the last few days promoting this person are not only years old they are extremely photo shopped. This woman is in her mid 50's. Two of the photos are photos, which she had taken at least 5-7 years ago and the other is photo shopped to the point that it almost does not resemble her, in actual real time. Obviously Hollywood Talent doesn't verify their clients authenticity or if they do, they don't care about integrity....tells you a lot about them and the people they are representing. read more
