The first part of my review is from my experience as both a freelancer seeking work through Vitamin-T and the second part will be as part of a marketing team seeking talent. PART ONE I started working with Jennifer W. at Vitamin-T a little over a year ago (around May 2013) and she was able to quickly find possible contract/positions for which I could apply. One thing I love about working with them is that they have access to tons of clients/positions and are able to show you roles that fit your needs. I was uber happy with the level of opportunity I was presented with--each contract was for a top San Diego company and there was a variety of industries to choose from. Thanks to Jenn's help, I was able to land a contract within just a week of working with her. Since then, have had 2 contracts--one short term (about a month long) and the other long term (almost a year). Jenn and the team at Vitamin-T have been super helpful and I'm grateful to have their support. PART TWO During a long-term contract I had though Vitamin-T, I was able to take part in requesting/screening clients for the company's marketing team. I can honestly say I was impressed with the variety of candidates and the expertise many of them had. Some were even available at crazy-low rates relative to their skill set. One issue we did have was that some of the potential hires didn't exactly match our specifications, but after speaking with the Vitamin-T team, we found that they were simply trying to offer us as broad a spectrum as possible. We clarified exactly what we needed and the second round of candidates was spot-on. Needless to say, we were able to find suitable candidates to support the team's efforts. CONCLUSION Overall, I can't say enough about how awesome it is to work with Vitamin-T. Whether you're seeking work, or looking to fill positions within your team, I'm 100% certain that these guys can help. TIP: Be super precise about what you need vs. what are "nice-to-haves" and you'll get exactly what you want. read more

I've been working with them for over the past year and half and my experience has been great. I was placed with an assignment within 4 days of visiting the office for the first time and continue to thrive. My interaction is with three recruiters and they all have a professional attitude, are personable and always keep the leads and jobs coming therefore eliminating my worry of unemployment. Very unprofessional. I applied for a job through this place and they contacted me to come into the agency. I came in and spent my personal time speaking with an agent named Jessyca Hix and setting up my account. After I went, I was introduced and registered with the staffing agency--she had told me that she would do her best in helping me find a good job fit. Not only did she NOT get me the job interviews I was looking for but she also contacted me about jobs I told her I WASN'T interested in. Also, after I told her I wasn't interested in those jobs, she completely stopped contacting me. I emailed her my resume changes (that she had recommended me to edit) and never responded to me with anything. I think her behavior negatively impacts the company and I would never recommend this staffing agency to any creative professional. Who ignores their clients? Horrible company. read more

Had my initial interview today to see if I'm a fit for them and them for me. I was impressed. I was greeted quickly and acknowledged by every employee that walked in to make sure I was being helped. Talked with Jen about my qualifications, reviewed my portfolio and she took the time to get to know me and what I'm passionate about. She helped me see I love projects that are cause related and helped me to pinpoint exactly what makes me stand out in my profession. Valuable to my career path for that experience alone! Very personable and insightful. I was introduced to a team of recruiters, who all took a few moments to really meet me and welcome me, not just glad handing. Most importantly, they follow up when they say they will and promptly. I know I'm just starting my relationship with them, but based on my first impression, I'm happy to have them as a resource and in my corner. read more

I have worked with Jamie N, Kristin B, and Brian P. I'm a physical therapist, but I really enjoy writing, editing, and graphic design. Making the switch from patient care to office work isn't always easy, but the Vitamin T team has made it seamless. They placed me with a company that I am really enjoying, and I see there being the potential for long term work. Even if the company doesn't decide to extend my contract, I'd be grateful to work with Vitamin T again, as they're highly professional and communicative, and they really work to get you rates and assignments that make you excited to go to work every day. I've been a writer for 20 years and a freelancer for the past 3 years and Vitamin T has been critical to my success. They take nearly all the work out of finding freelance jobs. I hired Aquent's subsidiary Vitamin-T to help with a somewhat simple website. It turned out to be a total disaster as they repeatedly hired folks that didn't have the skills to complete the job which ended up adding development time to the project by an order of magnitude, putting the project very far off schedule and over budget. To their credit, when I was not happy about the first developer's work, they offered a full refund that I did accept. Finally, after months of delays and one more web dev that didn't deliver, I was directed to a very capable individual that delivers good quality work and is worth the high hourly rate. My contact at Vitamin T was nice and fairly responsive. Working with creatives especially as contractors can be very challenging, so I understand what the company is up against. My advice is that they need to spend a little more time qualifying their contractors. I will not use them again, I'd rather take my chances in finding talent since I feel I can identify more suitable candidates in less time. read more

He immediately got me an interview with an amazing company and I started working the following week and became full time shortly after. She set me up with the San Diego office to get my account updated and ready to go into the interview I had applied for. She matched me perfectly.
